I am a woman who lives alone with her dog. I have two grown children and one grandson, and I am retired. I am 5'6" tall (at least I used to be), and weigh 180 pounds. I have silvery-blonde hair and wear glasses. I majored in Linguistics and English in college because I am fascinated by the history and structure of the English language (I enjoy conversations about semantics). Reading is my main activity right now, as well as surfing on the Internet. I would like to be more active, however, and would welcome a companion to pull me out of myself! When I do get out, I go to performances at the North Shore Music Theater. What I would like to do is: visit the MFA and the Isabella Stuart Gardner Museum, explore the flea markets in the area, take drives to Vermont or New Hampshire, hike the Appalachian Trail, walk around Boston; all these things would be much more fun with company.
My Ideal Person:
I would like to meet someone who is attractive (notice I didn't say handsome), smart, literate, (college good, self-taught also good), intellectually curious (meaning inquisitive), and a gentleman. I would like him to be a little more active than I am, but not necessarily a fitness freak. If he takes a drink, okay; if he smokes, okay. I'm not looking for the "love of my life" at this stage. I would like to meet someone with whom I can enjoy myself, for myself, now.
