I am at a wonderful place in life. I decided a few years ago to retire after a 34 year career in education, mostly as a counselor in high school settings. I loved my job but was tired of being so busy all the time. Decided it was time to slow down and do some of the things I haven't had time for. I'm doing OK at some of these (practicing my guitar more, traveling more, exercising more, spending more time with family) and not so good with others. I worked parttime for several years and am currently working fulltime again as a professor. I believe there is more good than bad in people and the world-an optimist grounded in reality. Some of my favorite things are music (from folk to opera and classical), dancing, the outdoors, travel in the U.S. and abroad. I enjoy cooking but also like to go out to eat.
My Ideal Person:
Looking for a man who has a positive outlook on life, is fairly active and likes the outdoors, and who knows the difference between loving and wanting someone and needing them. If you like pets, music, dancing, traveling: we have some things in common. Can't be a smoker and should be center to left politically.
