I am an active, intelligent Jr. High teacher who is looking for a one man - one woman relationship, possibly leading to something more. I have been divorced since 1996 after a 28 year marriage. I have 2 adult children and 2 grandchildren. Although I enjoy my life as it is and dearly love my career as a teacher, I would like to meet a gentleman to share my life with. I believe that there must be much more to a relationship than just physical attraction. Having experienced a long marriage, I know first hand that the passion does eventually fade and then there must be something else there to hold a couple together. Common beliefs, desires, hobbies, likes and dislikes are a must for a truly meaningful relationship. I usually have a do-it-yourself project going on around my house. I try to forget that I live in the desert, and have created a rather "park-like" yard which I love taking care of by myself. I collect antiques and like to browse in antique shops or attend antique auctions.
My Ideal Person:
My ideal man's character and intelligence are much more important to me than his physical appearance. I would like him to be an educated/professional man, but his occupation (or former occupation) does not matter. I want him to be able to discuss serious issues as well as have a playful spirit and a sense of humor. At this age, almost everyone has some form of "ailment" or disability, so that does not matter, either.
