My first picture was taken in February, 2003. The one with the dogs, Christmas, 2005 and the last two were taken two weeks ago. It was for my passport renewal and the lightening stinks as usual. But, it is me. I probably have a few more gray hairs now. I am not petite or slim. However, I am height/weight proportioned. I have relocated from NJ to NC in 1983 and have never regretted my choice. I enjoy travel by car or plane or train. Have never been on a cruise, but I am open to such. A sense of humor is my strong suit. I am active, with many diverse and varied interests. Intelligent and sociable. D/D free. The beach is one of my favorite places to go. I have a toy poodle named Joe, and another 1 1/2 year old named Poppi since she was so tiny like a poppy seed. I read as much as I can and like to watch TV.(after all I did grow up in the TV generation) I like flea markets, antique malls, festivals and cook-offs. I enjoy dancing and would welcome the opportunity to do it often and to perhaps take lessons to hone my skills. I am also a terrific cook and don't mind the cleanup. I must admit, I am NOT a domestic goddess. I don't enjoy other types of housework. In my spare time, I practice target shooting. I am in logistics, education and business administration, all of which are part time jobs. That allows me to travel when I please and relocate if I choose. I like down time to enjoy myself and sometimes to just "be". I am widowed. No children or baggage to worry with. Life is good.
My Ideal Person:
It would be nice if you were not tied down. An RV and a sense of adventure might be nice. But, then again, I don't have one either (the RV that is). I am flexible as need be. Once you know me, you will be able to read me. A man with like interests and most important a sense of humor. I have always been attracted to intelligence. You should be emotionally available since there is not much point if you are not. Be able to talk about most things and not just to be polite. You would be an addition to the life I am living now, and I to yours. Location is not critical to my happiness, but the peace and tranquility of my environment most certainly helps keep my frame of mind in focus. (read no screamers or passive/aggresive behavior) That said, if this is who you are that's OK, too. But we probably would not get along for very long. I have no interest in changing anyone. You come as you are and I do the same. After all, we are all "just folks".
