My son is career Air Force and resides in Wichita, KS with his lovely wife, and their two children. One day, I hope to purchase a home there. In the meantime, I'm interested in meeting and making new Christian friends near my home in Weatherford, TX, as well as Wichita, KS. A brief history of my life follows:
UPDATE: December 2009; Dad and I have moved to Wichita, KS, just 6 miles from my son and his lovely wife. YEAH! We enjoyed our 1st ever WHITE Christmas and especially enjoyed not having to drive 7 hours to spend the holidays with our family.
I was married right out of high school and had my only child before that marriage ended in divorce 8 years later.
My next marriage was to a private pilot, businessman who loved to hunt, fish, and fly. In a period of 11 years before his untimely death of a massive heart attack in 1988, I suppose we spent more time together in private and commercial aircraft throughout Canada and Alaska in pursuit of those adventures than most married couples spend together in 30 years.
It seemed living out of a suitcase was one thing I did quite well, so in 1991 at 43 years of age, I accepted a job as flight attendant with United Airlines. An amazing time and such fun for me. During those years, I also married and then buried yet another husband, but this time from esophageal cancer. His passion was horses. So, when I wasn't in an airplane, I was on the back of a horse in Texas, or riding through the mountains of Colorado.
After retirement from United in 2003, I divided my time between home and visits with parents in Texas and my son in Kansas. My mom passed away in 2005, and soon thereafter my dad came to live with me. For that reason, a serious relationships is out of the question at this time. However, taking good care of myself and looking for opportunities to spend time with friends and make new ones in the process is still a healthy priority for me. Cheers everyone!
