I am a down-to-earth(well, most of the time)country woman, born and raised in Oregon. I have traveled quite a bit through the years but am always glad to come home. Although, I can't ever forget the beauty of the other parts of our country(I have only been in Canada as far as another country, so far). I think out all the States, Alabama is probably my second favorite only to home in Oregon.
I am a writer, only a few writings published online, no books, yet I love reading, caring for the property and animals where I live on 6 acres, my country neighbors, bbq's and just being able to see every star at night. I am not a city girl but I do like what a city can offer. A nice evening out for dinner, a movie, plays. On July 4th I actually have "pit-passes" to the drags in Medford Oregon. I haven't done this since I was in my 20's!
I have been divorced 12 years and yes, I have been on other sites but just haven't met a man that was a good match for me, nor I for him I am ok with my life alone with teddy the dog that is, but I do want to share my life with someone special. So I never give up getting out here and meeting people.
I am active, into fitness and nutrition. I am working on my knee healing(runners knee although I got it walking, lol).
I am joining in hopes of meeting lots of friends mainly. I figure if a person can make a friend then there is a good chance it could grow into more I do love meeting other women my age and visiting, no not gossip fellas. I hate gossip and avoid it like the plague. Im no angel though and do slip sometimes.

Ideal? Well, I suppose someone living down the road from me would be ideal but not realistic. So I'll just say a man close to my age, within 1 or 2 years, someone with a great sense of humor and a genuine laugh Someone active but isn't trying to keep up with the 20 year olds, likes to be with friends and family on occasion, but his fave place is at home with me. Easy-going, outgoing but loves to kick-back, is into fitness and good food, camping, easy hikes, stargazing, romance, and this is worth mentioning again, has a great sense of humor & loves to laugh
