I am a widow of 2 years. My husband and I were both retired and living in Fl in the winter and Wi in the summer.I was a retired high school teacher and he was a retired attorney. We had many interests in common as well as separate interests which I think is healthy. I love to travel. I recently returned from a cruise through the Panama Canal and missed having a really close friend with whom I could discuss the events of the day. Thus the reason for my trying this website. I am finally ready to meet new people.
My Ideal Person:
I still am a snowbird, living in Punta Gorda in the winter and Whitewater Lake and Racine, Wi. in the summer. In both places I have homes on the water which I love. I'm looking for someone to have fun with, to do some of the things I like to do: dining out and cooking in, theater, movies, gardening, reading, art and architecture. I am always open to learning new things: I recently started taking Spanish so I could speak a bit when I was visiting Central America. I love a good sense of humor and I love to laugh. I am liberal politically and belong to no religion. However, I have many conservative friends (especially here in Fl) and they simply call me the "loonie liberal"!
