Interesting things I have done in my life- Spent time with a sculptor friend who lives in a castle in Holland. Was the first woman to parasail on the Playa de la Ropa in Zihuatenjo Mexico, Studied art in Berlin, The Hague, Honolulu. Got a Master's Degree in Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine. Worked as a Merchant Mariner for 7 years. Trained horses. Published some poems. Modeled clothing designed by a Russian dress designer at an SPCA benefit in San Miguel Allende. Executed and sold watercolor paintings and sculptures, privately and in galleries internationally. Drove a cab in Alaska. Bicycled the Snoqualmie Valley trail in Washington from Duvall to Hayak. Flew a glider. "But all these things I've seen and done, are just flyspecks on the wall. 'Cause if I haven't done something today then I haven't done nothin' at all!"
I dislike gossip, IQ tests, arguing, rudeness and liver in any form except pate.
Life is good. Could be better with someone to do things with. I'd love to have someone to fix dinner with, to discuss the news with, to ask how their day was and tell them about mine. My cat, Lilly, is a pretty poor conversationalist and anyway her day always seems to be perfect.
I am lucky that my health is good. God knows I spent the first forty years of my life doing my best to destroy it. It was called having fun, in those days.
I believe, as did Oscal Wilde, in "moderation in all things, including moderation". I believe we are spirits embodied rather than bodies with spirits in them.
I think that ones purpose on this earth is to fulfull one's own potential. In doing that we will give and receive love because I believe love is a natural characteristic of all people.
My Ideal Person:
I am looking for a person who is positive. One of my favorite sayings is: We have the choice of being an optimist or a pessimist. I choose being an optimist. It costs the same and its more fun.
I want someone who likes to do things, see things, learn things. Be willing to go ahead just to see what is around the bend in the road. I want someone who is willing to lead but knows how to follow. A man who likes himself but is not in love with same. Its good to be sensitive, but neurotic doesn't work for me. I want someone who is capable of loving without owning. I want someone honest and caring who realizes what a treasure it is to share ones life with a mate and acts accordingly.
