Most of my friends would agree that I am an easy-going, low maintainence woman. When I go out on dates, I tend to enjoy dinner and conversion. I am a vegetarian, but not very strict. I believe in enjoying life. To date, I have not found a restaurant where I was unable to find something delicious to eat. I only have one , who is twenty-two years old and living independently in another state. As much as I love her, I rarely get to spend time with her due to the distance.
I have been teaching for my entire adult life. I bounced around quite a bit in my early career. I have taught in public schools, elementary thru high school, colleges and universities, private schools for both and adults and have even worked independently as a private teacher. I enjoy various languages and cultures and am always fascinated with the way various cultures fulfill their basis needs. The more I learn, the more similar I realize that we all are. That is the reason that I am on this website. I have an interesting career, a small, but great circle of true friends, and I have just moved into a new apartment. Home is very important to me. Now that I have more or less turned my new apartment into my new home, I realize that there is still a void. Loving and being loved are important to every individual in every culture. I believe that living in a nurturing relationship is the best life has to offer. However, I would rather be alone than in bad company. And I would rather be loved than be "right." I am looking for someone who feels the same way. Life is too short to worry about or argue about the little things. I choose to be happy and I would love to share my life with someone who also realizes that happiness is a choice. We cannot control many of the things that happen in our lives, but we can choose how we react to them. The moral fiber of a person is more important than what he does. Of course, I would love to share time together. I do not believe that absence makes the heart grow fonder. I believe the art of loving requires cheerful work and that the results are more than worth it. Open and honest communication and mutual respect are the foundation of any great relationship. I love the theatre and dining out, but I also believe in living within one's means. Therefore, I have cut back a great deal and have started watching more movies at home. I believe it would be more enjoyable to share that experience in a caring relationship. As I stated before, home is very important to me. However, I would consider moving for the right person. I also enjoy listening to a variety of music. Since I now spend most of my time working with young , spending time with my peers is very important to me. I love and would welcome any or grandchildren into my life. My favorite lazy time experience is crawling under the covers and watching a movie on dvd. Although I was raised as a Roman Catholic, my philosophy of life is from the Dali Lama, "Our main duty on earth is to help one another,...and if you cannot help someone, please do not hurt him."
