Interests - travel, anything to do with food - I'm a great cook (degree is in Hotel/Restaurant Management and I won several awards for culinary and pastry arts) - love fine and ethnic dining, winetasting; viewing and creating art, browsing through thrift shops and antique stores, concerts, live music, dancing, socializing with friends, sunbathing on a beach, sudoku, weekends away, happy hour with friends, going to the movies and more.
I enjoy traveling and have had some awesome experiences including (but not limited to) walking through the marketplace in Port Au Prince, Haiti; standing at the bottom of a volcano in St. Lucia; exploring the canals of Venice, Italy; watching the lava flow down the sides of a volcano as I sipped wine and listened to classical music on the beach across the bay in Huatulco, Mexico; enjoying the Heinekin Jazz Festival in San Juan, Puerto Rico...and I look forward to many years of adventures - maybe with you!?
I'll always be a city girl with East Coast sensibilities even though I enjoy living in what the zoning deparmtet calls a 'semi-urban' area - but it's still just a couple minutes to the center of the city! Love to laugh and have a wicked, naughty sense of humor, but I know when to be serious. Intelligent and inquisitive without being pompous or arrogant.
While I sometimes enjoy evenings at home, I do like to balance that with evenings out with friends (or alone) - to get an idea of my social life, here's some of the things I've done (outside of my business) since November: Beaujolais wine dinner at La Provence with my wine group; celebrated my (November) birthday with a dinner with some friends in Rio Rancho; happy hour at Savoy with friends; socialized and danced to Stratus Phear at Malarky's; listened to the Catherine McGill Quartet at Zinc; dancing at the Barley Room; attended a performance of Nutcracker on the Rocks with friends; winery tour and tasting at Gruet Winery here in ABQ; dinner with a girlfriend at St. Clair's Bistro & Winery; Holiday dinner and happy hour at Landry's...
