If you look at the name of my town and wonder where in the world is Bush, La., don't try to find it on the map as it's not easy. It's just a tiny town outside of the Covington/Mandeville area. It's also about 50 miles north of New Orleans. I live out in the country and love it. This coming from someone who was born and raised in New Orleans...
I am a country girl and spend alot of time in the warmer months working out in my yard. I'm not afraid of hard work and actually enjoy getting dirty. I like the simple life of tending to my gardens and enjoy watching it all grow. I'm most comfortable in jeans and a t-shirt. I don't think I've worn a dress in years so if that makes me a tomboy then I guess that's what I am. I do clean up okay though when I occasionally like to go out to eat or see a movie or just go shopping.
I have a large family that I love very much and enjoy spending time with. My kids are all grown and some have families of their own. I adore my 6 grandchildren, they have a way of lighting up my life with their sweet smiles and unconditional love.
I enjoy reading, writing, home improvement projects and just about anything creative. If I don't know how to do something, I learn how and take pride in alot of the things I've learned how to do throughout the years. I try to never say never. If it's doable then I'm going to find a way to do it.
I've been told I have a big heart and I sure hope that's true because that's how I'd like to be. I always try to treat others the way I would like to be treated. Is there really any other way? I suppose I've run across a handful of people in my life that don't live that way but for the most part people are good and I try to see that in them.
I've had several people ask me what am I looking for in a man? I don't think there is any one-size-fits-all answer to that question. Of course, I, like any other woman would want all of the good qualities everyone else is looking for but no one is perfect so that's definitely not a requirement. All I ask is that you be yourself. I don't want anyone to change who they are to fit into my life. What I would like more than anything else is someone who enjoys conversation as much as I do, someone who likes to have fun, someone to make me smile, someone who likes to laugh and see me laugh. Sweet, kind, understanding and considerate are all good too but I really don't want to make the list any longer or I might scare everyone away. Just kidding...
Anyway, I'm not sure what else to say here except that most guys seem to be shy about saying hi first and I wish that wasn't true but unfortunately it seems that way. Until you do, we can't get to know each other and that would be a shame to miss out on what could be a good thing. Hope to hear from you soon!
