Me: I have a passion for travel, politics, and repartee--and collecting vintage. So I not only appreciate nooks for quite (and animated) conversation, but also noisy dance halls and teeming flea markets. When I vacation, I often visit places of beauty and culture in this hemisphere and around the world. I love our national parks, Manhattan?s theaters, the eerie beauty of Wales, and the rugged wilderness of the Canadian Rockies. I fully expect to visit Machu Picchu and other remote places of unspeakable beauty before I die. No self-portrait would be complete without confessing that, in a world of injustice, my favorite word is "mercy"-- and that, except for those restaurants that serve Mexican food, my favorite are those that serve Mexican food.

My Ideal Person:
You: I'm interested in meeting a good man who has a strong, decent character and a healthy, well-balanced ego; someone who is successful and, therefore, is not intimidated by intellect, beauty, or success in a woman; a man who loves all women (without being a womanizer) but who will commit to only one. Not only must he know what he wants, but (alas!) he must also be willing to ask for it, much as he must be willing to communicate on subjects--great and small--that are important to growing and sustaining a meaningful relationship. And, finally, since he likes himself, he will be physically fit and health conscious, and, of course, he must definitely be attractive to me.
