I am recently retired from state government where I was the senior research analyst in a behavioral health department. I supervised the development and operation of a statewide mental health and substance abuse data reporting system.
At all about the same time, I retired, my two kids left home, and my ex flew off with his new internet love. So, I packed up and moved from Alaska, to Oregon, then ended up here in the Midwest. I don't know many people here, though I did attend the local universities (SIU, Wash U., & St. Louis U.) back in the 60s and 70s.
I am liberal in political outlook and most other social issues. Avid reader and radio hound (NPR), love the fine arts, music (Beattles to Bach). Love to go to Powell Symphony and the free Jazz concerts at the Botanical Gardens in the summer. Wish I knew how to dance--I used to, but that was before I married a guy who refused to dance.
I am a bit of a "free thinker" and am liable to do unexpected things--all in good cheer. I like to have fun, to travel, camping, gardening, long walks. Love good food and would love to hook up with a guy who likes to cook (I make a great "gofur" and dishwasher as backup to the chef.
I want passion and intimacy and love and a long term relationship. If you have similar values and interests as I do, then please contact me for further conversation.
My Ideal Person:
Someone who will care about me. I have been in love a couple of times so I know what it feels like. I'd like to have that again. So, a man who can love me, who likes the real me, not the facade. He will be intelligent, informed about issues, politically liberal, a free thinker. Not into established religion, but respect faiths different from my own. Have money enough to support him self and his obligations. Obesity won't work for me, but a few extra pounds are O.K.
