I am an easy-going, stable person looking for the same. I like to be fairly active, but I find myself working on a computer writing and researching a lot. I have a great passion for nature and love gardening. I practice organic gardening and permaculture. Do you have a lot of land where I could create a beautiful garden? I am keen on conservation and recycle/reuse everything possible as well as restoring and keeping things pristine. I am very interested in alternative energy, mainly solar and wind. I am also very much interested in alternative building such as cob. It is mostly clay and straw and you can sculpt a gorgeous building out of it. Some of the more interesting things I have done in my life are traveling to many countries and living in some of them, Sailing the West Indies, going to university, going to star parties (astronomy). My favorite activities are taking walks, reading, researching, sightseeing, and there is so much more I love doing in this exciting world. I used to be a massage therapist so I am into giving and receiving massages if it interests my love. I am very knowledgeable about health and healing with natural alternatives, but prevention is my main focus. I am very loyal and try to be very considerate to my loved one. I exercise for at least one hour a day and more when I have the time. On top of that I take walks and ride my bicycle. The kinds of music I like is varied, but to give you an idea, music from around the world, classical (as long as it isn't clashy, depressing and loud) old rock, space music. (No country music - but there are exceptions, and no muzak.) Having grown up in an artistic family I love art and galleries and museums, as well as concerts and theater and dance. I love to dance too. I do like watching movies, but they have to have substance and be well done. I enjoy documentaries on most everything. I am more of a liberal and enjoy talks given by the likes of Noam Chomsky, Michael Parenti, and Vandana Shiva. I am a green and vote green. I was, and still am a flower child of the sixties. I enjoy people of all races. I don't see color. I see personality and character in someone. Another important thing is diet. I follow the Weston A Price diet which is any traditional diet. In other words, the way humans used to eat before there were any processed, refined, chemical laden, boxed and packaged in plastic fast/junk "food" items which had been invented and made available to the public that didn't know better. I don't tend to dress up (although I can) but rather I am more casual with a bit of class. I am more of a "what you see is what you get" kind of person. There is no pretense and I am not into creating illusions. Honesty is very important to me. I am not into superficiality. I am sensual, but don't wear sexy clothes, nor sexy nighties. In 2001 I moved away from the Bay Area of CA and don't have friends and family visiting much. So there you have it.
My Ideal Person:
I am looking for a rare bird. Someone like me, or who likes someone like me. I would love to meet someone who is happy, good-natured and secure within himself. Who is well educated and has a love for science. Who enjoys cooking, especially meat, because I was a vegetarian until eight years ago so I never learned how (nor want to learn). I am looking more for companionship with somebody I can talk to and who will talk to me. Deep talk. I love taking long walks and hope you enjoy walking too. I want someone who will appreciate me. (Of course I appreciate back.) Who has social skills and knows how to handle emotional issues. Who can release and let go of problems instead of holding on to them. Of course, talking things out is good if done with respect towards each other. Someone who is generally happy. Someone who will treat me as an equal partner. These are my fantasies of the person I would want, but it is not written in stone.
