HMMMM! How to blow my own horn and not sound conceited? I'm loving every day and living it, maybe not to it's fullest, but sure am enjoying each day. A positive and happy attitude are a must for me. I do not care to be around winers, or negative, complaining and unhappy people.
Flexibility, adaptability and compassion are my strong suites. I love my family and friends and enjoy being with them and making new friends. My son's call me the "Flying Nun"...I was brought up Catholic... but now attend a Southern Baptist church. I have attended non-
denominational and Methodist churches also over the years. I just need to be at a church that teaches the Living Word, Jesus Christ. I am a Sunday School teacher for 1st and 2nd graders.
My heart goes out to the homeless, single parents, young girls getting pregnant and our disabled Vets. I try to do what I can for them. Like to win the Lotto so I could do more, but God knows my heart.
Did I say I love to laugh and be happy? Well I say it again! I do not like confrontation or fighting and will avoid it to a degree but stand up for myself and my beliefs.
My pass times are playing cards, dominoes or board games, biking, hiking (have not done too much lately) entertaining with dinners (nothing real fancy....just close friends and family), good movies and dancing. Cooking and baking and helping others are probably up there at the top of the list. Going on little trips, and big ones, with my girl friends or church group is always fun.
I have 4 wonderful grown children and 10 beautiful and handsome grandchildren. Eight of which live within 12 miles of me.
I had a little thing going for the winter visitors the last 2 years. I rented rooms in my home for the season. I have a 4 bedroom 2002 modular doublewide. It was a lot of fun and I met people from Alaska, Canada, Washington State, Oregon, Texas, Indiana and Wisconsin. I prayed about it and the Lord blessed me with Christian senior citizens.
Well, I guess that is enough! Need to meet and see if we can build a friendship. How about it!?
