For a long time I was too busy to think about a real relationship again. Life has slowed down a bit and I realize that I have missed some of life's great pleasures and moments by choosing to be alone. I think I have now healed old wounds and would like to find someone to share the rest of my life with. There is more to life than working and sharing good times with someone special is what makes life worth living. I am sure my soul mate is out there somewhere. I am down to earth, a little shy when I first meet people, and I love to explore new places and different cultures. Some people mistake my shyness as being snobby but that is nothing like the real me. I am an introvert in an extroverted profession. I love music and concerts, walks on the beach and most any beach. I love the water but live in the mountains but long for the day when I can have a home in both places. I value honesty, commitment, a sense of humor and good communication. I am still curious and have the desire to learn and improve my mind and I am looking for the same. I love affection and being close. Most of all I believe in monogamy and concentrating on the person I am with. I am not into games and am looking for a serious partner. Marriage at my age is not necessary but commitment is and you don't get that with a piece of paper. I am close to my children and I have three grandchildren and I need someone who "fits"into a family/ Although they are all grown we are still a package. You'll find my children are charming and supportive of me finding someone to be happy with. I hope you have the same support system. I am still very youthful and healthy and most say I don't look my age and I certainly don't feel it. I am not looking for George Clooney but still feeling and looking youthful are a plus.
My Ideal Person:
I am looking for a happy guy who is intelligent and doesn't mind having deep conversations. He should be somewhat ambitious with still a little drive in him, but he should be past the ego stage of having to achieve just for sake of it. He should be comfortable with who he is and where he is at this point in his life and yet still be ready for some great adventures. He doesn't have to religious but should have some value of spirituality and a belief in a higher power and respect the values and beliefs of others if they are different from his own. Being genuine and honest are qualities that must be there. I like people who say exactly what they mean and don't make me play guessing games. I am intuitive but I am not psychic and I don't read minds.
