There are two things people notice about me when they first meet me. The first is my smile. I am almost always smiling. Then I speak and they say where are you from??? That is because I have a true Southern
(Tennessee) accent. You don't hear that much in Chicago.

People seem to feel at ease with me almost immediately. I think this is because I believe most everyone has a story to tell. I find listening to be a skill that not everyone has. Don't get me wrong. I love to talk and I do have an opinion on most anything. I read a lot and really enjoy politics. So if you don't know or care who is running for President, don't bother contacting me.

Fun for me are the simple things in life like taking walks on the beach or hiking. I have started back to painting so I love art galleries, festivals and other forms of the arts such as theater, dance, and music.

I am comfortable in a good pair of jeans as well as dressed formally to go out for a big night on the town. I enjoy wine and find that Merlot is my favorite. I do play golf but haven't much in last few years.

My Ideal Person:
What I am looking for in person is someone who knows what he wants. He has to be honest and kind. Must be able to laugh. He needs to have passion for living. He must be flexible not set in his ways like so many people are age seem to be or at least open to some change. Chemistry is important and I believe you have it or you don't.
