I am independent, but appreciate a connection with someone who likes to talk about a variety of topics. I think attraction starts in the mind and then bl ossums into more later.
It was once said that looks will eventually fade, although I am fighting it for as long as possible (LOL),; so, you better end up with someone who makes you laugh and you love to talk too! I think that is good advice.
At this stage of life, I think we are have a better sense of who we are, and that is the blessing in maturity. I feel I have arrived at place in life where I am more settled in who I am and what I offer as well as what I am looking for in a partner.
I have diversifed interests, and a good sense of humor. I am responsible to a "T" and would expect that of you.
In relationships, communication and negoiation are key to the survial of the relationship. Once that is established then passion is the natural result of being withsome where you feel understood and appreciated.
As for my interests, I am an artist, have played golf in the past with a passion, love reading (alot of non-fiction but well written fiction is great too), love music which might explain my fascination with American Idol. Television can vary from Oprah, Dr. Phil, to National Geographic, Biography channel, History Channel, Tru TV and definitely stand up comedy ie. I love musicals, art galleries, museums and learning in general. I love going to the movies, and like action movies more than chick flicks generally speaking. Or movies that evoke some thought provoking feelings.
Career wise I have been in sales for a number of years as well management; however, sales has been my mainstay in life.
I am honest, straight forward, and have a strong sense of fairness and compassion. I am not a game player, and would like to avoid those who like to do so. It might be important to mention that I prefer to eat healthy. So a pizza, fast food kind of lifestyle is not my preference. Everything can happen in moderation, but I think it is important at this stage in life to make wise decisions about health and diet.
If you agree, then we might have a start in the right direction. :-)
My Ideal Person:
I think my profile gave some good hints as to the type of person I am looking for such as has varied interests, strives to be healthy, and not a game player. Someone who is good at communication, sense of humor and would be a best friend as well as a partner. I don't think people need to be joined at the hip in life. A close relationship can include independence too.

On the pratical side...a person's approach to life as in responsiblity, energy levels, interests and committment to communication, and how you live need to be considered such as do you like neatness or clutter for example?
