I have recently retired and am enjoying the freedom to garden, cook, read, and travel. I have two sons who are grown and on their own. Most recently my younger son and I took a first ever trip to Las Vegas--the highlight being a day trip to the Grand Canyon. My most favorite trip ever was backpacking in Europe when I was 22. I went back again two years later and enjoyed it as much the second time. I plan to do it again. I like to read, nonfiction as well as fiction. Just finished Ghost Solders,Berlin Diaries, and Kite Runner. I play MahJongg and walk for fun.
My Ideal Person:
I am looking for interesting dialog mixed with quiet moments. Friends of mine tend to be involved with life and current events. I usually need time to develop a relationship so I am looking for someone who isn't in a hurry to find bliss. Much better when it sneaks up on you. I like a person with passion but not with a quick temper: someone quick to appreciate and slow to criticize. Finally I guess Honesty should be a given--but I will add it just in case it isn't.
