When I first came here, most of the families worked for the railroads. Sparks was a major hub for the SPRR and the UPRR. I remember the round-house! The Mapes Hotel was a new building, just completed the year before we arrived. I went to school here, married, had 4 children, divorced, worked and supported my family and retired, all right here. I like to paint landscapes, mostly, watch TV and movies. I like to spend time outside, especially when it's quiet, in the; mornings and I can listen to the birds. I spend a lot of time in the mountains with my children, but also like trips to the ocean. There is nothing quite like a Nevada sunset! There is also, nothing like having a companion who can share in the joy of these simple things. I am an easy going type of person. You don't have to impress me, just be honest. I'm not looking for a committed relationship! Just someone, a gentleman, with similar interests to share quality time with. Update: Since I first signed up I had LapBand surgery and have lost over 50 lbs. Hopefully I will keep loosing until I reach my goal. I'm a work in progress...knowing this, I hope to meet someone who will be supportive in my journey to the new me.
My Ideal Person:
I'm looking for someone who is gentle and kind. A man who knows himself and doesn't have to inflate his image to feel good about himself. I'm looking for someone who like simple things, walks, concerts in the park, movies, but most of all family. Also, he must love dogs! If you love the sound and smell of the ocean, the view from a mountain, or the aroma of good coffee...I'd like to get to know you.
