I've had an amazing life; lived in some awesome places. And I'll admit straight up, I've no regrets. Life has handed me it's lessons in sometimes patient and beautiful ways, sometimes in challenging ways. It's said what doesn't kill you makes you stronger - well, hopefully with that comes wisdom. My profession is in the travel business so I'm fairly well traveled and firmly believe you get from travel what you never get from books. Having said that, I do love to read. I believe in making peace with myself and establishing a profound inner life - a spiritual life. The outside world throws so much our way that I have to have a peace inside me that allows me to navigate the world but not take it too seriously. I truly appreciate male energy and am hoping to develope a friend or two. I believe I am an ancient soul, with a young spirit and still have a rock and roll heart. I try to confront any fears that might pop up instead of running or ignoring them. They never really go away, you know, just dig in deeper if not addressed. I enjoy a bit of everything and try not to pass up opportunities that will enhance my life. I love to laugh and try not to take myself too seriously. My friends can count on me to maintain confidences, be there for them in times of need, share their joys, and keep my judgements at bay. This is what I receive in return.
I've been married two times; don't know if I'm interested in marriage again but then one never knows - I keep my options open. It's always fun to share philosphies, view points and impersonal debates without trying to change anothers mind. Just looking for a bit of companionship, a charming e-pal and buddy at the moment.
Would like to hear from international guys - must speak English, however. NOT interested in married men or men in committed relationships - even as friends. Even though I would like to form friendships at this point in time, they must start out uncomplicated.
My apologies up front, but I have to start sorting out here. I don't respond to the following: emails or winks w/o photos, anyone w/photo of anything other than their face, women and men in women's clothing. Yeah, go figure!
My Ideal Person:
I am drawn to people who show true confidence, not arrogance. What one "possesses" does not impress me. It's who you are, not what you DO that counts. I enjoy clever wit -but not at anyones expense. I enjoy talking with people who have fresh ideas and view points. I like clever banter. I really appreciate small kindnesses, thoughtfulness, humor, a fun-loving side. One who does not take themselves very seriously but can give sober attention to something when needed. It's important also that a person can take responsibility for their actions and the results of those actions. I've had my fill of blame-casters in my life. I enjoy adventuresome people who like to try new things, whether it's food, a place, an activity. Honesty ranks tops in qualities; as Stephen Colbert says "truthiness" weighs big in my esteem.
Unpredictability is important. If you have to eat every day at 8:01, 12:37 and 6:12, we'd not get on at all. I like to be surprised and caught off guard. Anything that is mechanical, be it conversation, habits, etc. - is a huge turn off to me. Where has everyone's creativity in life gone? And last, but one of most important barometers...if you're a conservative republican, please don't bother. I would make your life miserable with my politics alone.
