I have family coming for the holidays so I won't have much time until Jan.
I'm an independent lady who has been living on my own since my husband died 12 years ago. Six years ago I moved to the Florida Gulf and bought a house which I renovated, re-landscaped, etc. I absolutely love it here. It would be lovely to have someone with whom to share it.
I am interested in what is going on in the world and keep up with current events. I love history, good music, fishing boating, gardening nature and animals. I prefer scenic beauty to amusement parks but I do enjoy art, opera, concerts and theater.
I have dated a number of guys, all "Mr Wrong," and I'm wary. I am looking for a man with whom I have some common values views and interests who wants to share a mutually beneficial, mutually gratifying, mutually caring monogamous relationship.
I have had two long term marriages. I have been very selective. Both men were good choices and I have no regrets.
My Ideal Person:
So far, every guy I have met in the last 10 years has had his own agenda and was looking for a woman to "fit" into his lifestyle, fulfill his needs, go along with his plans, goals etc., like so much baggage, a satellite, a servant. I have a life guys. It's not cast in stone but I would like to find someone to share life not define it. I am a person. And...I am so tied of guys wanting me who have no interest in knowing me. That's not a relationship guys. That's servitude. That's all about your gratification. Do you understand the difference beween "I" and "we?"
Do you have anything between your EARS? If not, I can't possibly be attracted to you. I have to be attracted mentally before I am attracted physically. Do you have a personality in there somewhere?
I am not interested in a fling or a bunch of dates with different guys, so I will want to know a bit about your habits and views before we meet. I have spent a life-time reading, researching, thinking, (even though I'm blond). I have strong views and opinions. If you are a liberal or a red-neck I am not remotely. interested.
A man I can love will be playful, will smile at me a lot, tease me; make me laugh. We will have stimulating conversation, stroll on the beach, go fishing, boating, dancing, do lots of little things to spoil each other; enjoy good music from R&R to Beethoven, explore Florida or maybe the whole US. He will be capable of expressing his emotions, passion and intimacy. He will have a sweet disposition, a great sense of humor, will be slim, healthy and self supporting.
If you are looking for someone with whom to roller-blade and climb Mt Everest, keep looking. I'm not that energetic. Sorry, I can't share your love for your truck. Your dog or your horse, maybe.
If you like to watch sports that's fine. I have 2 TVs. If however, you are into boxing, wrestling and/or NASCAR, there is a sportsbar a few blocks away. I watch Fox news, Law and Order, CSI Las Vegas, The History Channel, Movies etc....too much TV.... because I am alone. But I am not addicted to anything.
