I live in a small apartment with my elementary school aged daughter, my dog and my cat. I have a small business selling jewelry online that I make myself. I'm big into DIY. I'll listen to just about any kind of music, as long as it's not the same thing all the time. I enjoy television-Nip/Tuck, Rescue Me, and anything independently made. I don't do the bar scene (been there, done that) but I like to entertain at home. I was a chef for almost 20 years, so cooking is a passion for me. I enjoy walking my dog, usually early mornings by the river, and she's not afraid of the rain, so we walk in the rain when we get the chance. I'm not a big shopper, material things don't matter to me frankly. I guess I'm just an old hippy...looking for someone to spend the rest of my life with. I don't want to be alone anymore, but I don't date, so all this is very new to me. I've lived in a shell of my own making for a while, but I see the sun rising on the end of my days, and I want someone to share the best years with.
My Ideal Person:
I'm looking for a man with character. Someone with a good heart that's willing to risk showing his emotions under the condition that I'll never take advantage of that gift. It would be great if he were good with his hands (alright, guys...that's NOT what I meant!)  and liked to make things. I'm in search of a man that can be what and who he truly is instead of wearing the mask that so many situations and experiences require. He will know that nothing I expect of him is anything less than I will give. Trust, honesty, respect...all the usual catch phrases apply...but the bottom line is I'm looking for someone that is willing to work toward a partnership where we both feel safe, cherished and above all, loved. We all have baggage, that's true. What's important is how you carry it. Be open with me, and I'll return the same. Now...are you out there?
