Looking For:
Men for friendship or a serious relationship
|

|
Tall, intelligent, attractive, slim artist/herbalist with eclectic tastes but traditional values seeking an intelligent attractive man with character and humor. I'm interested in men who've experienced the same time frame that formed my sensibilities about the world, especially growing up in the Viet Nam era, and am not interested in married men or purely physical relationships as have been offered. I am an envrironmental teacher in workshops and after school programs around the Providence area. I also forage wild plants in the rain and can come home and jump into a dress to go out to dinner with you. Jazz, blues, and classical music are favorites, but supporting the alternative band of my college daughter's boyfriend is fine too (once in a while!). Rather than support dogma of any one religion, I find spirituality in nature and actually encourage weeds like dandelions to grow around the edges of my yard (they sometimes find their way into my culinary art). The last books I've read are: Be Cool by Elmore Leaonard; The Hidden Messages in Water by Masaru Emoto; Concerning the Spiritual in Art by Wassily Kandinsky. I like to travel, and have more time to do it now that i finally graduated in April 2007- yippee! My preference for the future is to live near the ocean and/or live on some acreage large enough for both woods and garden, like I do now. Friends are an important part of the equation, but the most important part is my companion- a man who shares some of my interests but has his own, is my friend as well as lover, and knows that the richest ingredient for both the palette and palate is humor sprinkled through everything. (Photos taken before the new year, and in June 2008- except for the 2007 grad photo- the first one taken outside at night in the rain at my b-day party at the end of May 2006, with a bad hair night in progress!)
My Ideal Person:
Unique is an overused word...l'll just say I'm looking for someone who has both a sense of who and what he's looking for too. Life experience and education has prepared you to feel comfortable in any situation. You are flexible in talking to either a celebrity or a homeless person because you see the common denominator. You enjoy the arts but can hold your own around a campfire. You know you look damn good in that suit, but like toasting marshmallows on a stick (even though you don't like them). You remember catching fireflies in a jar (before letting them go). You're willing to test my wildfood dinners, and then hop over to enjoy dessert at Cafe Nuovo. You are articulate and would enjoy talking about anything with me, your captivated "partner in crime".
