I think it possible (if not probable) that virtually anything expressed by a person is susceptible of more than one interpretation. I also believe that no one is capable of viewing themselves "objectively" (semantically speaking [which implies that there is some other way to "speak", which there is not], the consideration of one's self is, necessarily, an exercise in subjectivity). Therefore, the reading and writing of, and/or responding to, personal ad.'s, is necessarily an exercise in futility, no?
Please have your answers (2,000 words or less) on my desk before class ends on Friday. Spelling WILL count, so be sure to dot your "p's" and "q's".
Extra Credit: Determine a methodology by which the inherent paradox of "singles ad.'s" (supra) may be resolved. (E.g., have a friend write it for you, or, for a potentially more "objective" appraisal, an enemy... Or, possibly, a musician.) Prove your answer. (And pay the musician, if any.) (Note: Due to the limitations of this computer format, Boolean symbology will not be accepted this time. If that is not available, then, it must be that Aristotelian logic would be acceptable, do ya think?)
Extra Extra Credit: Those noting that the writing and reading of, and/or responding to, a personal ad. which suggests the utter futility of reading, writing, and/or responding to personal ad.'s is a somewhat "reflexive" redundancy WILL BE SENT IMMEDIATELY to the principal's office! You need a good spanking, that's what you need.
