I am happy with the simple things in life. I love; the beach and boardwalk (like a little ), music and film (with a passion), good food and drink (in moderation) and quiet, intimate time with the right person (most of all). I once shared life and true-love with my very best friend. I would like to have that again in my life. But, true-love can’t exist without friendship and friendship takes time and trust to build. So, I am not in a hurry, I'd like to take things slowly and simply correspond with a nice, well-adjusted woman and hopefully develop an acquaintance that will allow us both to feel comfortable if-and-when we agree it is time to meet. Ultimately I would like to be with someone who is a fun and easygoing companion that enjoys the simple things in life as much as I do. Hopefully that companionship will become a strong and trusted friendship...and that friendship will become true love and devotion. I am a sympathetic friend and a good listener, but I do like as little drama as possible. I see the beauty in everything and have learned to allow the negatives in life to wash over me and away...I don't dwell on pain and heartache and would like be with someone who shares those characteristics. On the more practical side; I enjoy doubles tennis, I like camping, concerts, Rhythm and Blues, Southern Rock, watching sports whether it’s the little leagues or the pros (especially during playoffs). I like to cook and I like to be cooked for, I love to laugh and make others laugh. I like to write (can you tell?).; I'm about a third of the way through writing a romance novel and I think it’s pretty good (my few trusted reviewers agree). I raised two daughters and I've seen just about every chick-flick with them, so I know a little bit about the romance-genre and enjoy it thoroughly, not by myself mind you, but when I am with someone I can talk to about what was good and bad about the film, the characters and the relationships involved. When I'm with someone I truly care for, I enjoy intimacy and touching. I am in no hurry there either, I luxuriate in the closeness and never want it to end. When I wake in the night I marvel at her presence beside me and I love seeing her in the morning light, watching her wake and waiting to hear her first sleepy words. When I'm with someone who delights me, I can be happy just watching her go about her day. I believe my love is a good and spiritual thing; the few woman I've loved still love me and think of me fondly...I feel the same way about them. I cannot un-love anyone I've loved, even when the end was painful. So there it is. I cannot promise a glamorous lifestyle, but if we are right for each other I can promise; dedication and caring, understanding and passion, laughter and truth (even when it's hard). If you are looking for a kind, patient, gentle, funny and simple (yet in some ways, complex) man...and you don't mind taking things slow with me, then I would like you to write. I want a partner who is going to try to bring my spirits up when I am down and out. I am very protective of my son /family. I would say that my personality is never dominating and I don't get jealous.
