I'm a retired computer geek of eclectic intellectual pursuits. Physically fit, emotionally balanced, and financially secure.
I was born in Poland, spent the first six years of my life in refugee camps in the US sector of Germany. Came to Canada at age six, first to a small town in Ontario 120 km north of Toronto. Grew up in Montreal.
Have lived in Alberta in western Canada since 1979.
I have two children, a son born in 1967 in Vancouver BC, and a daughter born in 1970 in Edmonton Alberta. The latter has two sons.
I spent 7 years in the Canadian air force in the 60's when I didn't know any better. I don't regret that part of my life, but I was happy to leave it.
Musical tastes run to the classics, folk music, and 60's rock'n'roll. Favourite composer is Handel. Favourite opera is The Barber of Seville.
Love bicycles, hate cars.
My politics are slightly left of centre in a Canadian sense. That makes me a raving Commie Socialist in a US context.
My Ideal Person:
I'm interested in meeting intelligent, thoughtful people in my age group who are open to discussing a wide range of topics. People who don't take disagreement on an issue as a personal attack.
