Looking For:
Men for friendship
|

I am a people person and am friendly. I was born and raised in Great Falls, Montana and graduated from MSU in Bozeman. The Big Sky hospitality has stayed in me even though I moved to the Seattle area about 24 years ago by choice. I am a retired elementary teacher. I am searching for change in my life. One new thing that I've done for a change was to join a hiking club and am now hiking in the mountains and the beaches. Getting sore and loving it. I have three adult children. I love to spoil my grandchildren, but don't babysit too much. I've done my tour. I like challenges. I have completed my manuscript about life after stroke. And to think 12 years ago I scribbled when trying to write, and I certainly wasn't on the web. I believe in hard work and I challenge myself to do my best. My next goal is to get my manuscript published. Update: My manuscript about my stroke has been accepted and is now in the process of being published. I'm not one to give up easily. I like to travel. Just this last summer, I visited my penpal friends in England and Scotland and went to Ireland to kiss the Blarney Stone. Now I really have the "gift of gab". Besides traveling and writing a book, I like to write poetry, write children's stories (one story was published), garden, hike, dance, volunteer, relax in a hot tub, obviously love to try new things, exercise, and have walked a half marathon in Jamaica where it is hot-hot and have walked a full marathon in Vancouver, Canada. I joined Toastmaster's Club and received my CTM (Competent Toastmaster) pin after my stroke, and now do some public speaking for the American Stroke Association. I am spiritual, I forgive easily, and had a near-death experience. I appreciate what I have and love my moments. I think there is nothing more satisfying than helping others and meeting new people.
My Ideal Person:
Someone who believes in Dreams! Lives in Moments! Enjoys Living!
