I am educated, intelligent, very fit and would most of all enjoy good conversation and life companionship with a well-spoken and attractive lady. I have lived a very quiet and private life for many years as my wife's health failed; devoted mainly to gardening ( very large garden), and pets and earlier other animals. Now I have just two very companionable little papillons who travel with me everywhere. I am eager to do more I love music, theatre, would like to know more about the arts. I have lived and travelled abroad for many many years (Africa, and Spain mainly), and if I went abroad again it would have to be to do something of mutual interest ie do something - not laze around with a pina colada! I'm a pretty good cook, and do not need mothering! I am a great believer in live and let live, and owning one's personal space - especially women who often get a raw deal (perhaps not so much the younger generations, thank goodness.). I am tactile and romantic and would love to meet a lady interested in sharing our lives fully together. Finally, I am not interested in a date's financial situation. I live carefully but comfortably, and am financially secure. I would happily consider relocation if the right person wanted it, and travellng is by no means excluded.

Inclined towards enjoying all the senses in a romantic and spiritual, though non religious relationship - a close and private relationship which supercedes all other demands from the wider family (including my three lovely daughters and seven grandchildren - I love them but they have their place!)
