Hi! My name is Karen and I am 5 feet 4 inches tall and 110 pounds. Although I am small I am by no means weak! I refer to myself as being an industrial strength woman. In other words when I get an idea I will go through fire to make sure it comes to life. After all what good are dreams if they just remain in your imagination? Obviously I tend to live out all my dreams and see them through to bear the fruits of my labor.
I have not dated since my relationship ended in June of 2006. I wanted to allow myself enough time to feel positive about meeting someone special again. I am now ready to entertain the idea with a clear heart and a clear mind.

I love to eat healthy and keep myself in physically good shape. I enjoy distance swimming, and walking. I am also very disciplined and schedule my time so I can fit in all my various activities without feeling stressed by them.
I must tell you that I have a very zany side to me. I can make you laugh until your sides hurt!!! Not to worry it is good exercise for your stomach muscles, and you will have no need to do crunches?
One of my favorite hobbies is showing and breeding Persian cats. I show in various CFA shows on both sides of the border. There are no holidays and the life of a breeder is a demanding one. Obviously if you are allergic to cats or do not love love love animals I would not be the person you are looking for.
I am also currently working on 3 different recipe books that will eventually become available. I have helped many people to lose unwanted pounds through the years. It has been very rewarding endeavor and in fact was the reason that gave birth to me writing these books. People wanted to know how to cook healthy meals from soup to dessert and not gain weight.
I adore country music and in fact I am very much a country girl at heart. I happen to have a second home on 10 acres of land in The Adirondack Mountains. I spent over a decade living there in seclusion while I worked. I still visit and love my time spent in the United States but decided to retire back home.
I love being in the mountains, swimming in lakes and generally speaking just being one with nature. It is calm and tranquil the way I like my life to be. I do not like drama and will do just about anything to maintain a peaceful atmosphere.
I am a true Cancer being born on the 10th of July. Yes a real nester properly describes me. My home is my little getaway retreat from the hustle and bustle of the outside world.
My Ideal Person:
Not interested in an instant relationship. In fact my interest lies in developing a friendship first.. I believe those that are so quick into a relationship are just as quick on the way out of one. So a man that is cautious about his heart tells me he has one. He is also just as cautious with who he might chose to share his body with for the very same reasons. That type of man would be willing to take things slow and understand that trust is something that is earned over time. After don't we all teach our children not to trust strangers for their own protection? So as the saying goes practice what you preach!
An exceptional relationship would be finding a partner who is my best friend, my lover and my confidant. No, I'm not looking for someone to be 'my everything'. People in our age bracket already have lives, existing interests and relationships. I would be wary of someone willing to put everything aside just to accommodate me. Put another way, someone who would be my 'first among equals'.
