I'm pretty easy going & there's not much in life that fazes me at this point in life. I'm moderately active - but prefer REAL exercise - hiking, gardening and, yes... mowing the lawn, raking leaves, shoveling snow. I also like movies - comedy and drama - NJ industrial history, photography, all sorts of pets and I'm pretty computer literate. I'm Jersey born and raised - college elsewhere! - and want to stay here in the mountains of the Highlands if the property taxes don't drive me out - I own my own house. I still work and love my job but spend much of my free time on historic preservation and related activates. My philosophy is... live life deliberately, share it with a soul mate, have fun, laugh, harm no one and give back to all I can. What a mix!!
My Ideal Person:
I'm looking for someone who I can share life with - and at this point in our lives... our pasts, our present, and our hopes and dreams for the future. Share is the key word.. from the everyday living "chores" ( please cook now and then and eat vegetables!) to the joys and sorrows that we face every day. Let's not move too fast - but not too slow either!! in getting to know each other. I'd like to meet someone who has an open mind and is flexible on positions who I can talk to about ideas and events, etc. A good sense of humor is a must and a romantic/ affectionate bent would hurt either! I'm looking forward to an independent retirement and someone to share those glorious, hard-earned days of freedom with.
