I was checking off all my interests and for some reason I guess I can only choose one when I really have many. I paint, garden, read, cook, dance, exercise, travel, love music and theater...some movies, learning about computers, photography, finance...There are lots of interesting things. I can't do everything at once so I have to pick and choose. I used to love to ride horses and fly fish. I am never bored. I like quiet time, too. I have a pretty positive attitude. I've always thought that most things are possible and at least it is a good idea to give it a try. My friends laugh with me, say I'm friendly, and work hard. Religion is important to me but private and I think each person has a right to their own beliefs as long as they don't hurt someone else.
My Ideal Person:
I'm looking for a friend first with a good sense of humor who is interested in different things. I realize that "things" is pretty vague. Most of all I am not interested in men who are much younger and no couples. I noticed that there were several who had looked at me. I've traveled Europe, Africa, Asia, Central America, and the US. I sometimes like to go to sophisticated places but not all the time. I like to meet the people and I'm not great on spending my whole time being herded from one place and on to the next. I'm fairly flexible and don't get upset if plans change. It often works out for the best. My Japanese friend and I sat and laughed at the tourists rushing by while we were eating a quiet lunch. At home I feel the same way. I like to learn how to do things and I don't enjoy situations where everyone is trying to impress someone else. There are too many other things to think about.
