Some things to think about and maybe consider if you need to make changes in your life... ********************************************
1. Life isn't fair, but it's still good.
2. When in doubt, just take the next small step.
3. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.
4. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.
5. Pay off your credit cards every month.
6. You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.
7. Cry with someone. It's more healing than crying alone.
8. It's OK to get angry with God. He can take it.
9. Save for retirement starting with your first paycheck.
10. When it comes to chocolate, resistance is futile.
11. Make peace with your past so it won't screw up the present.
12. It's OK to let your children see you cry.
13. Don't compare your life to others'. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
14. If a relationship has to be a secret, you shouldn't be in it.
15. Everything can change in the blink of an eye. But don't worry; God never blinks.
16. Life is too short for long pity parties. Get busy living, or get busy dying.
17. You can get through anything if you stay put in today.
18. A writer writes. If you want to be a writer, write.
19. It's never too late to have a happy childhood. But the second one is up to you and
no one else.
20. When it comes to going after what you love in life, don't take no for an answer. **
21. Burn the candles, use the nice sheets, wear the fancy lingerie. Don't save it for a
special occasion. Today is special.
22. Over-prepare, then go with the flow.
23. Be eccentric now. Don't wait for old age to wear purple.
24. The most important \bsexo?\b organ is the brain.
25. No one is in charge of your happiness except you.
26. Frame every so-called disaster with these words: "In five years, will this matter?"
27. Always choose life.
28. Forgive everyone everything.
29. What other people think of you is none of your business.
30. Time heals almost everything. Give time time.
31. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.
32. Your job won't take care of you when you are sick. Your friends will. Stay in touch.
33. Believe in miracles.
34. God loves you because of who God is, not because of anything you did or didn't do.
35. Whatever doesn't kill you really does make you stronger.
36. Growing old beats the alternative -- dying young.
37. Your children get only one childhood. Make it memorable.
38. Read some good books. They cover every human emotion.
39. Get outside every day Miracles are waiting everywhere.
40. If we all threw our problems in a pile and saw everyone else's, we'd grab ours back.
41. Don't audit life. Show up and make the most of it now.
42. Get rid of anything that isn't useful, beautiful or joyful.
43. All that truly matters in the end is that you loved.
44. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.
45. The best is yet to come.
46. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.
47. Take a deep breath. It calms the mind.
48. If you don't ask, you don't get.
49. Yield.
50. Life isn't tied with a bow, but it's still a gift.

 SILK PAJAMAS
A man calls home to his wife and says, "Honey I have been asked to go fishing up in Canada with my boss & several of his friends. We'll be gone for a week. This is a good opportunity for me to get that promotion I've been wanting so could you please pack enough clothes for a week and set out my rod and tackle box? We're leaving from the office & I will swing by the house to pick my things up." "Oh! Please pack my new blue silk pajamas."
The wife thinks this sounds a bit fishy, but, being the good wife, she does exactly what her husband asked.
The following weekend he came home a little tired, but, otherwise, looking good. The wife welcomes him home and asks if he caught many fish?
He says, "Yes! lots of Walleye' some Blue gill, and a few Pike. But why didn't you pack my new blue silk pajamas like I asked you to do?
You'll love the answer...
The wife replies, "I did, they're in your tackle box."

I would like to ask for prayers for my daughter. As some might know already, she is a diabetic, has heart problems, high blood pressure, migraine headaches and also has Addison's Disease...Most of these things are related to the diabetics...
She is in hosp. (ICU) again... Her blood sugar started out at 492 and this morning has dropped to 86...both high and low b/s comes with the Addison's...
Please pray for the doctors to treat her in such a way to bring her back to better health...
Thank you so much...God bless you all for your prayers...

About Social Security Program

Here is a story I received today regarding the Social Security Program . I Hope you will read this and think about it.
Franklin Roosevelt, a Democrat, introduced the Social Security (FICA)
Program He promised:
1.) That participation in the Program would be completely voluntary,
2.) That the participants would only have to pay 1% of the first $1,400 of their annual incomes into the Program,
3.) That the money the participants elected to put into the Program would be deductible from their income for tax purposes each year,
4.) That the money the participants put into the independent "Trust Fund"
rather than into the General operating fund, and therefore, would only be used to fund the Social Security Retirement Program, and no other Government program, and,
5.) That the annuity payments to the retirees would never be taxed as income.
Since many of us have paid into FICA for years and are now receiving a Social Security check every month --you may be interested in the following:
Q: Which Political Party took Social Security from the independent "Trust Fund" and put it into the General fund so that Congress could spend it?
A: It was Lyndon Johnson and the democratically controlled House and Senate.
Q: Which Political Party eliminated the income tax deduction for Social Security (FICA) withholding?
A: The Democratic Party.
Q: Which Political Party started taxing Social Security annuities?
A: The Democratic! Party, with Al Gore casting the "tie-breaking" deciding vote as President of the Senate, while he was Vice President of the US .
Q: Which Political Party decided to start giving annuity payments to immigrants?
A: That's right! Jimmy Carter and the Democratic Party. Immigrants moved into this country, and at age 65, began to receive Social Security payments! The Democratic Party gave these payments to them, even though they never paid a dime into it!
Then, after doing all this lying and thieving and violating of the original contract (FICA), the Democrats turn around and tell you that the Republicans want to take your Social Security away!
And the worst part about it is being uninformed
If enough people read this, maybe a seed of awareness will be planted and maybe changes will evolve. Maybe not.

Something shared after 40 years...

When I was married 40 years, I took a look at my wife one day and said, "Honey, 40 years ago, we had a cheap apartment, a cheap car, slept on a sofa bed and watched a 10 inch black and white TV, but I got to sleep every night with a hot 20 year old blonde.
Now, we have a nice house, nice car, big bed and plasma screen TV, but I'm sleeping with a 60 year old woman. It seems to me that you are not holding up your side of Things."
My wife is a very reasonable woman. She told me to go out and find a hot 20 year old blonde, and she would make darn sure that I would once again be living in a cheap apartment, driving a cheap car, sleeping on a sofa bed and watching a 10 inch black and white TV .
Aren't older women great!!!! They really know how to solve your mid-life crises.

Christmas Poem for Us Old Folks

One to bring a smile to your face... ******************************************
'Twas the night before Christmas at Rock-Away Rest, And all of us seniors were looking our best.
Our glasses, how sparkly, our wrinkles, how merry; Our punch bowl held prune juice plus three drops of sherry.
A bed sock was taped to each walker in hope, That Santa would bring us soft candy and soap.
We surely were lucky to be there with friends, Secure in this residence and in our Depends.
Our grandkids had sent us some Christmasy crafts, Like angels in snowsuits and penguins on rafts.
The dental assistant had borrowed our teeth, And from them she'd crafted a holiday wreath.
The bed pans, so shiny, all stood in a row, Reflecting our candle's magnificent glow.
Our supper, so festive (the joy wouldn't stop), Was creamy warm oatmeal with sprinkles on top.
Our salad was Jell-O, so jiggly and great; Then puree of fruitcake was spooned on each plate.
The social director then had us play games, Like "Where Are You Living?" and "What Are Your Names?"
Old Grandfather Looper was feeling his oats, Proclaiming that reindeer were nothing but goats.
Our resident wanderer was tied to her chair, In hopes that at bedtime she still would be there.
Security lights on the new fallen snow Made outdoors seem noon to the old folks below.
Then out on the porch there arose quite a clatter (But we are so deaf that it just didn't matter).
A strange little fellow flew in through the door, Then tripped on the sill and fell flat on the floor.
'Twas just our director, all togged out in red. He jiggled and chuckled and patted each head.
We knew from the way that he strutted and jived Our Social Security checks had arrived.
We sang -- how we sang -- in our monotone croak, Till the clock tinkled out its soft eight-p.m. stroke.
And soon we were snuggling deep in our beds. While nurses distributed nocturnal meds.
And so ends our Christmas at Rock-Away Rest. 'fore long you'll be with us. We wish you the best.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

God gives the gift of a child to parents so that they can take care of them....In some cases the child is given who possesses the love and tenderness needed to care for the parents when their needs demand it...The child is blessed with a mind and body to care for those he loves and becomes stronger in spirit because of all he does for others...This child will always be a favorite with those who know of his kind deeds for his family...
Find joy in knowing he is a member of your family...
