la times-$500,000,000 in Porkbarrel Earmarks to Donors Since 2001, Hillary Clinton has delivered $500 million worth of earmarks that have specifically benefited 59 corporations. 64% of those corporations provided funds to her campaigns through donations made by executives, board members, or lobbyists. Clinton has earmarked more than $2.3 billion in federal appropriations for projects.
NY times- In Charity and Politics, Clinton donors overlap. How to Legally Buy a President Last year, contributions reached $135 million, a 70 percent increase over the previous year. Two-thirds came from just 11 donors. For weeks, Clinton Foundation officials had suggested that the $31.3 million contribution listed on its tax return did not come from a single donor. They then said it came from a single source, but declined to identify the source. The New York Times examination found that while some $1 million contributors were longtime Clinton friends, others were seeking policy changes from the administration. Two pledged $1 million each while they or their companies were under investigation by the Justice Department
newsday- Clinton: "I Never Would Have Taken Us to War in Iraq" Clinton voted to give Bush authority to invade Iraq in Oct. 2002 and that she rejected withdrawal plans for years afterward.
NY times- Hillary's "Experience" Lie Clinton: "I am uniquely qualified at this moment in our history to be the president we need starting in 2009 … I think it is informed by my deep experience over the last 35 years, my firsthand knowledge of what goes on inside a White House." Thirty-five years takes you back to 1973, half of which Hillary spent in law school. Clinton: "Experience in foreign affairs is critical for ending the war in Iraq, averting war in Iran, negotiating a Middle East peace and dealing with North Korea." During her husband's two terms in office, Hillary Clinton did not hold a security clearance, did not attend meetings of the National Security Council, and was not given a copy of the president's daily intelligence briefing. During trips to Bosnia and Kosovo, she "acted as a spokeswoman for American interests rather than as a negotiator." On military affairs, most of her experience derives not from her White House years but from serving on the Senate armed services committee
yahoonews- Clinton lies about Obama's record "He was a part-time state senator for a few years, and then he came to the Senate and immediately started running for president," she says dismissively. But Obama's accomplishments are more substantial and varied than Clinton suggests. And he has a longer record in elected office than she does, as a second-term New York senator. Obama served eight years in the Illinois state Senate and is halfway through his first term in the U.S. Senate. Clinton is about to begin her eighth year in the U.S. Senate. Going by years spent as an elective official, Obama's 11 years exceeds Clinton's seven. Obama was a community organizer and led a voter-registration effort in Chicago that added tens of thousands of people to the rolls. He was a civil rights attorney and taught at one of the nation's premier universities. He helped pass complicated measures in the Illinois legislature on the death penalty, racial profiling, health care and more. In Washington, he has worked with Republicans on nuclear proliferation, government waste and global warming, amassing a record that speaks to a fast start while lacking the heft of years of service. Nobody else running for president, besides Obama, has jumped off the career track for three or four years to help other people
google news-Clinton Lies About Obama Abortion Record "Hillary Rodham Clinton criticizes rival Barack Obama's record on abortion rights in a mailing sent to New Hampshire voters. The mailer says that seven times during his time in the Illinois state Senate, Obama declined to take a position on abortion bills, while Clinton has been a defender of abortion rights. During his eight years in the legislature, Obama cast a number of votes on abortion and received a 100 percent rating from the Illinois Planned Parenthood Council for his support of abortion rights, family planning services and health insurance coverage for female contraceptives. He voted against requiring medical care for aborted fetuses who survive, a vote that especially riled abortion opponents
chicago tribune-The Clintons are lying about Obama's remarks on Reagan When the Clintons used "better" and "good" in alluding the Obama's remarks, they weren't paraphrasing, they weren't misremembering, they weren't distorting. They were simply lying
ABC news-ABC News Calls Out Clintons for Consistent Lies about Obama The ease with which a former President and former First Lady lie to the American people should disturb us. ABC News reviews the lies the Clintons have told voters recently about Senator Barack Obama.
CNN-Planted: Student claims she was fed question for Clinton The college student who was told what question to ask at one of New York Sen. Hillary Clinton's campaign events said "voters have the right to know what happened" and she wasn't the only one who was planted
washington post- Lobbyist for Pakistan Maxed Out Donations to Clinton "Like others in the race for the White House, Hillary Clinton has strong words for Pakistan, but has yet to propose the United States seriously consider limiting its aid to the country. But unlike the other leading Democratic presidential hopefuls, Edwards and Obama, she has accepted tens of thousands of dollars from Pakistan's lobbyists, Cassidy & Associates. Its founder, Gerald Cassidy, long ago maxed out his donations to her. While not prohibited by law, accepting such a donation necessarily raises questions about the effect this relationship--and similar ones--will have on her policies in the White House towards Pakistan should she win the 2008 contest, or in the US Senate should she not."
today im not feelin political. they announced on the news this mornin that the little boy who was born prematurely i think 2 weeks ago, has been brought out of his drug induced coma, and that he is still in serious condition, but they r "optimistic" for his survival. last week at the age of 12 days, the nurse went to get him out of his oxygen tent, and for some reason it caught fire inside. he was burned over his head , cheek, shoulders and hands. i cant know how his parents are feeling, and so far they have no explaination on how the bed caught fire. all i can think of is his tiny body in constant pain, not understanding why he hurts. they r still undecided whether or not he shall receive skin grafts, the hospital is investigating the cause, and so far this is the first incident recorded of this happening. the good news is, his parents, who named him maverick, got to hold him today, for the fist time since the accident. i dont know his family, but im asking for prayers for this sweet little boy. kellyc aka saucy
ive learned thru the years that with the clintons, you either love em or hate em. i never hear an in between at all.. its always full throttle. so this isnt a debate as to whether we like them or not. hillary clinton is all for people, she is for helping people and making sure people have insurance and making sure the rich people dont step on the poorer people. i am left today wondering what she thinks of her hubby bill;s support of Canadian mining financier Frank Giustra, who with the help of bill clinton, came up a winner when his company signed preliminary agreements giving it the right to buy into three uranium projects controlled by Kazakhstan’s state-owned uranium agency, Kazatomprom
The monster deal stunned the mining industry, turning an unknown shell company into one of the world’s largest uranium producers in a transaction ultimately worth tens of millions of dollars to Mr. Giustra, analysts said.
Just months after the Kazakh pact was finalized, Mr. Clinton’s charitable foundation received its own windfall: a $31.3 million donation from Mr. Giustra that had remained a secret until he acknowledged it last month. The gift, combined with Mr. Giustra’s more recent and public pledge to give the William J. Clinton Foundation an additional $100 million, secured Mr. Giustra a place in Mr. Clinton’s inner circle, an exclusive club of wealthy entrepreneurs in which friendship with the former president has its privilegesup a winner when his company signed preliminary agreements giving it the right to buy into three uranium projects controlled by Kazakhstan’s state-owned uranium agency, Kazatomprom.
Mr. Nazarbayev walked away from the table with a propaganda coup, after Mr. Clinton expressed enthusiastic support for the Kazakh leader’s bid to head an international organization that monitors elections and supports democracy. Mr. Clinton’s public declaration undercut both American foreign policy and sharp criticism of Kazakhstan’s poor human rights record by, among others, Mr. Clinton’s wife, Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton of New York
how could hillary not know of this transaction? how can someone who stands for human rights and for the lil people, go along with this? to me it just shows , again, the ethics or lack there of, of these 2 people who want desperately to get back in the white house. sure there will be clinton enthusiasts flocking here, saying well what about bush this and bush that....but how can it not be apparent to people that they have their own agenda? and that the rules other people are supposed to follow, doesnt include them and their friends.
some of this content has come from the ny times report written by jo becker and don van natta jr.
why is it that politics are so volatile that people cant discuss it like peaceful human beings? i definitely have my own views and i like to debate or discuss politics with other people of the same or differing views. but someone always seem to think that discussing means attacking. it doesnt!! i know that sometimes there is a presumption because we cant hear the tone of voice in typing and that comments can be taken as anger when they really arent meant that way. many of us that are talking about things arent mad at all..we are just conversing. i respect peoples opinons that are different than mine..i never put down their views, not intentionally, and i hope it is never taken that way because i am passionate about my beliefs. but my passion isnt disdain for your beliefs. just because i dont like the clintons, doesnt mean i dislike everyone who is a democrat. i have always been taught that people can discuss things that arent always pleasant but are important. if we cant give our opinions why be there? is it ok for people to only agree with one side? just because someone doesnt..does it make it wrong.. or just different? i for one think there can be intelligent conversations with pros and cons on both sides, without it leading to a battle. but i guess i am in the minority. i also think that blogs can be controversial, not hurtful, because we as a society have differing views..we do not have to agree with everyone, and as long as the disagreeing happens in a respectful manner, it isnt hurting anyone. when did our country and lives become so politically correct that it is wrong to disagree? it just isnt real! conflicts in real life go on everyday, and if just for the sake of always looking "pleasant", we should never write a controversial blog that may upset someone else, what is the point of blogging at all? it is unrealistic to think that we r all the same. there is nothing wrong with having different points of view. there is something wrong with always looking at comments as personal attacks, when they arent such. life isnt always flowers and hearts and sweet, why should our blogs and chat have to be? kellyc aka saucy
i have a disease. i now know it is hereditary, my grandmother had it, my mom has it..several of my aunts have it too. i never thought that i would get it. i used to joke with my mom about her battle with this disease. this illness goes across age lines, race lines, and in some case gender lines. as far as i know there is not a cure, and in some cases it gets worse as we age. i really fear as i watch my daughter that she already has symptoms. it really can be embarrassing in public places and parties, at home the other unstricken relatives just kinda laff, and say shes just like gramma lizzy. the technical name of my disease is "canteatadamnmealwithoutsloppingsomethingonmyshirtusitis.im already feeling much better, bringing this to light with my sff friends. and im thinking of starting a support group, for anyone with the same affliction. im sitting here as we speak with ketchup on my blouse, and a spot of mustard on my pants. it doesnt matter if i wear black white or purple clothes..it doesnt matter if im eating a burger chicken or a chocolate chip cookie,.,something will end up a stain before im thru. sometimes i must confess i drop things down the front of my shirt and into my bra..nothing i own is sacred. if there is only one piece of steak on my plate that has sauce on it, be assured that is the one that will land on my lap. ty for listening. im on my way out the door now to buy another stain stick. kellyc aka saucy
in my opinion if we the republican party, nominate john mccain, we are nominating a liberal, not a true conservative. McCain’s willingness to take stands even many Democrats are afraid of, show this. He voted against Bush’s tax cut, the centerpiece of the new president’s agenda. Along with John Kerry, he sponsored legislation to raise automobile emissions standards, and he paired with Joe Lieberman to try to force Bush to reduce greenhouse gases in compliance with the Kyoto accord. Also with Lieberman, McCain has proposed forcing people who buy firearms at gun shows to undergo background checks–closing the “gun-show loophole”–even as most Democrats shy away from any form of gun control. He has infuriated the gambling industry by proposing to ban wagering on college sports. And along with Carl Levin, he has co-sponsored a bill to force companies that deduct executive stock options from their taxes to disclose the cost on their financial statements–another effort few Democrats have been willing to join. the amnesty bill which failed, also proves that he will not be tough on illegal immigration as we need. i think the best way to see that he is a liberal, is to watch all the liberal newspapers lining up to endorse him!! do you really believe that any of those democrats that are pushing him for prez, will vote out of their party to put mccain in office?? no wayyy!! i actually do not see a leader so far in this mudslinging bitchfest. we the people are gonna be in much worse circumstances in the following years if we do NOT start taking back control. none of our candidates are what they seem. we need some new choices!!!!kellyc aka saucy
some informational parts of this blog were taken from townhall by patric ruffini.
ive heard so much about what the rest of the world thinks of the united states and bush...but i was interested to find this article on what some brtish people think of bill and hill... it is a c&p that i found on the net while i was researching hillarys wealth.(just wondering how many of HER millions will be used to fund the proposed manditory health care)
On 14 August, you're invited to
"an audience" with Bill Clinton in London
You can attend the "breakfast and speech"
or the "brunch buffet and speech",
taking place in the Millennium Dome
A 'hot' seat in the "Kings' Row"
will cost you £799 [$1,600]
Clinton is able to make a shedload a money
because he is contrasted with the despised Bush
as the flawed good guy who did his best for the world
and brought economic boom to the US
– the fabled American dream no less
Both notions are finely spun lies
What Clinton and Blair have most in common
is that they are the most violent leaders
of their countries in the modern era
These days, you see Good Ol' Bill, or the Comeback Kid, as he is variously known, wiggling his head on the TV news.
It's that man again, campaigning for his wife, Hillary, among Americans who, terminally naive, still believe the Democratic Party is theirs and that "it's time to vote a woman into the White House".
Together, the Clintons are known as "Billary" and rightly so.
The more sardonic among us refer to them as the Hillbillies. Redneck hucksters and hustlers who have grifted their way to the top.
Like Good Ol' Bill, his wife has no plans to address the divisions of a society that allows 130,000 Americans to claim the wealth of millions of their fellow citizens.
Like GOB, she wants to continue Iraq's torment for perhaps a decade. And she has not "ruled out" attacking Iran.
Those settling down in the Kings' Row at the Millennium Dome on 14 August for breakfast or brunch with GOB, having transferred another swag to the Clinton bank account, are unlikely to reflect on the blood spilt and the epic suffering caused, or on the moral corruption of the liberal ideology that courted and acclaimed Clinton, along with the criminal Blair.
But we should.
Good Ol' Bill, The Liberal Hero
On 14 August, you are invited to "an audience" with Bill Clinton in London. You have a choice. You can attend the "breakfast and speech" or the "brunch buffet and speech".
These will take place in the white elephantine Millennium Dome, where a place in the "Kings' Row" will cost you £799. Last year, Clinton made more than £5m granting "audiences".
Not only the usual corporate types attend. A few years ago, I watched a conga line of writers, journalists, publishers and others of liberal reputation shuffling towards his grotesquely paid presence at the Guardian Hay Festival.
The Clinton scam is symptomatic of the death of liberalism – not its narcissistic, war-loving wing ("humanitarian intervention"), which is ascendant, but the liberalism that speaks against crimes committed in its name, while extending rungs of the economic ladder to those below.
It was Clinton's promotion of the former and crushing of the latter that so inspired new Labour's "project".
Clinton, not Bush, was Cool Britannia's true Mafia godfather. Keen observers of Tony Blair will recall that during one of his many farewell speeches, the sociopath did a weird impersonation of Clinton's head wiggle.
Clinton is able to make a shedload a money because he is contrasted with the despised Bush as the flawed good guy who did his best for the world and brought economic boom to the US – the fabled American dream no less.
Both notions are finely spun lies. What Clinton and Blair have most in common is that they are the most violent leaders of their countries in the modern era; that includes Bush. Consider Clinton's true record.
In 1993, he pursued George H W Bush's invasion of Somalia. He invaded Haiti in 1994. He bombed Bosnia in 1995 and Serbia in 1999.
In 1998, he bombed Afghanistan; and, at the height of his Monica Lewinsky troubles, he momentarily diverted the headline writers to a major "terrorist target" in Sudan that he ordered destroyed with an onslaught of missiles.
It turned out to be sub-Saharan Africa's largest pharmaceutical plant, the only source of chloroquine, the treatment for malaria, and other drugs that were lifelines to hundreds of thousands.
As a result, wrote Jonathan Belke, then of the Near East Foundation, "tens of thousands of people – many of them children – have suffered and died from malaria, tuberculosis and other treatable diseases".
Long before Shock and Awe, Clinton was destroying and killing in Iraq. Under the lawless pretence of a "no-fly zone", he oversaw the longest allied aerial bombardment since the Second World War.
This was hardly reported. At the same time, he imposed and tightened a Washington-led economic siege estimated to have killed a million civilians. "We think the price is worth it," said his secretary of state, Madeleine Albright, in an exquisite moment of honesty.
Clinton's economic "legacy" – like Blair's – is the most unequal society Americans have known.
In his last presidential year, 1999, I walked along the ocean front at Santa Monica in California and was struck by the number of middle-class homeless, "bag gents" who had lost executive jobs and families thanks largely to Clinton's North American Free Trade treaty.
As for working Americans, the boasted high employment figures concealed a reversion to real wage levels of the 1970s.
It was Clinton, not Bush, who wiped out the last of Roosevelt's New Deal. Back in Santa Monica the other day, I noted the bag gents had multiplied.
These days, you see Good Ol' Bill, or the Comeback Kid, as he is variously known, wiggling his head on the TV news, campaigning for his wife, Hillary, among Americans who, terminally naive, still believe the Democratic Party is theirs and that "it's time to vote a woman into the White House".

i saw a video today of johnny cash's last recorded song. it showed pictures of his life with june, and it just resonates with regret, but the words are so powerful i felt the need to share. it is a song written by nine inch nails.
I hurt myself today To see if I still feel I focus on the pain The only thing that's real The needle tears a hole The old familiar sting Try to kill it all away But I remember everything
What have I become? My sweetest friend Everyone I know Goes away in the end You could have it all My empire of dirt I will let you down I will make you hurt
I wear this crown of thorns Upon my liar's chair Full of broken thoughts I cannot repair Beneath the stain of time The feeling disappears You are someone else I am still right here
What have I become? My sweetest friend Everyone I know Goes away in the end You could have it all My empire of dirt I will let you down I will make you hurt
If I could start again A million miles away I would keep myself I would find a way
some time ago i had a blog about my taking over a restaurant. i did for awhile but when the time came to sign a contract, the owners changed too much for me to be comfortable signing. the one partner i had decided to hire people and stay in it with an inferior contract. they had asked and then pressured me to come back and give it a try, but with great thought and alot of chattin with dallas, i held my ground. i have been lunch catering and enjoying it a great deal. now i have been told that the place i was offered has been shut down! the owners never had a liquor license, and have now racked up thousands of dollars in fines. my "ex" partner has never been completely paid and has lost a few thousand dollars on his deposit. what gets me is the people who OWN the bar are supposed to be upstanding business people and had so many write ups about them in the papers. i am so thankful i had dallas to talk to about this, when i was tempted to cave in and just do it. she made me know that i could do this on my own and not need any partners. dallas, i luv ya lots and ty for being my rock when i wanted crumble under the pressure kellyc aka saucy
