Christmas thoughts Dec 4, 2008 10:17 am

I love Christmas music. Not so much the new fangled songs, although some are good.. I love hymns.. tears come to my eyes while singing Silent Night, and What Child is this?. I remember as a child singing Away in the Manger, in front of the church. I love going to the candle light service at my old church in Pa. when we go back for xmas. I cry every year. Im not sure why i get choked up hearing and singing them, I think to me it is the joy of knowing Jesus was born, and is in my life. It doesnt bother me whether others agree. I dont care whether someone gets upset if i say Merry Christmas instead of "happy holidays". To me Christmas will always mean the birth of Christ, not shopping, although i do that with glee too lol, it doesnt mean frosty the snowman, though i still love to make snow men with my kids and have good old snowball fights. To me there is joy in giving, there is a peace about this season, that nullifies the mean, desperate shoppers, trying to get that last x-box.. or big screen tv. I still sit in wonder at the first snow fall, especially at night when everything looks so pristine and glittery, when the trees ice over and turn everything into a crystal palace. I think it is more important to sit back and just enjoy the feeling that the season brings. To me there is nothing like sitting in a darkened room and looking at the lights on my Christmas tree, it brings me serenity and fills my heart. My kids are all in their mid teen to early 20's years, and this year we decided on one present this year for each.. and we r taking the rest of the money and adopting a family from my sons school, who cant afford xmas presents. Our family is a single mother with 3 kids. The little girl who is 4, wants a my little pony doll. I remember the 1st yr I left my ex, my kids were adopted by a family for Christmas too. It humbled me and gave me hope that there were people out in the world who cared. Who cared enuff that a little kid might wake up and not know a little happiness. As I reread this blog, i seem like i am rambling a bit, lol. but i am filled with the Christmas spirit so Merry Christmas to all of you, a few weeks early..be thankful for what you have, because there is always someone else out there with less than you. Pray for the kids of the world, if you can, spread as much joy and light as you are able huggles kellyc aka saucy

I was out Christmas shoppin today and stopped at Burger king to grab some lunch and took a meal home for my son. Has anyone ever figured out why they seem to give you 5 pounds of fries with that meal?? can anyone with a normal appetite actually eat all of these nasty things? im not a big fast food fan, but if im out and in a hurry i will grab a burger, but i end up giving the fries to my kids or dogs. today when i got home i saw that burger king actually turned their large fry into the king sized one.. that is crazy, no wonder kids are getting fatter now and some adults too.. nobody needs that much food! well i say nobody, lol but my 22 yr old gobbled em down with enthusiasm. kellyc aka saucy

my baby tank came home!!!!! Nov 19, 2008 9:47 am

I was awaken last night around 3 am, by a big slobbery baby dog jumping in my bed!!! My hubby and son had been watching a movie and heard my little dog Nacho whining, he thought maybe nacho had to go outside, and when he turned on the deck light, there was Tank looking in the window!! Scott opened the door and Tank came bounding into my bedroom and licking me on the face. He was very cold and had burs stuck to his belly, but other than being very hungry and thirsty, he is none the worse for wear. I had almost given up on him returning on his own, I thought maybe someone was going to keep him, or maybe the shelter would call. My kids and I put hundreds of fliers out yesterday with our address and phone number on, so we r not sure if someone put him back in the yard, ( if they did, they left the gate open again!) I was screaming and crying, I woke the rest of the kids up and we all hugged him and petted him and he just jumped from one of us to another, just pleased as punch, being loved on and petted. I hugged my kids and my hubby, and said that God does hear prayers, and told them how many of you had prayed for both Nookie and Tanks return. I was so afraid this was going to be a sad Thanksgiving, but I feel renewed!!! Nacho wouldnt leave tank out of his sight, he kept going over and smelling and licking him, them running back and forth as if to make sure he was still there, lol. The first thing I did this morning, was go to walmart and got locks for the gate. The policeman who came here suggested I do this, I thought it was against the law, since the meter readers have to come in the back, but he said since they r too dumb to close the gate, make em jump the fence lol. Nookie, just kinda gave Tank a lick and looked at him as if to say. "what took ya so long?" Thank you thank you thank you so much for all the prayers and for understanding, to me these are not just dogs, they are family, and I know your prayers helped bring them home. I cant ask for better people than all of you! My babies are home and safe!!!!

please send prayers if you will.... Nov 17, 2008 7:12 pm

i know there are alot of you who wont understand this.. but alot of you will. this afternoon i let 2 of my dogs out to piddle in my fenced back yard, we always keep the gates tightly latched, when i checked on the dogs about 10-15 minutes later, they were gone. the gate is open and no dogs to be found. my son and i searched for hours, and when my kids got home from school they looked too. we called the police and the animal hospital, and the area pounds. nookie is an eskimo dog, he can survive in the cold, but tank is a 7 month old pit and they have very short fur. it is supposed to get to 14 degrees tonight and i am sick with worry. the police said that it was probably a meter reader or a construction worker who are working with the electric and gas lines who opened the gate and didnt shut it. i am feeling so guilty right now because i didnt check the gate b4 i let them out. they r like my babies, my kids. and right now all i can picture is tank lying down in the cold to sleep and freezing to death. we left our number with all of the neighbors.. and we went to almost 90 houses and still havent heard a thing. this is the first time ive seen my 22 year old son break down. tank is his dog. please please pray for them, to keep them safe over night or to let someone find them and turn them in. this is breaking my heart. kellyc aka saucy

1st grade field trip Oct 24, 2008 9:34 am

A teacher in California recently took her 1st grade class on a field trip to see her get married to her lesbian lover. The school gave her permission and she had permission slips signed by the parents of the children. do you think this was appropriate for the ages of the kids or even that it should have been used as a school event? i am not an anti gay person, but i feel that if she wanted to do this and have the kids there, why not plan a small wedding and have it on a Saturday.. then invite the kids to participate? I definitely do not think this should have been a school filed trip! so.. do you...
see no problem with it as a field trip
think there isnt really a problem, but shouldnt have been a field trip
im completely opposed because gays shouldnt marry at all
think it is no one elses business what they do with their wedding.
think im a total bigot just for brining this up!

Aregntina just nationalized $30 billion dollars in private pensions. THe measure, confirmed in a speech in Buenos Aires late Tuesday by Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, Argentina’s president, was criticized by political opponents and analysts as a move to shore up government coffers to try to head off a fiscal crisis in 2009, when Argentina might be struggling to make billions of dollars in debt payments.

The announcement sent the Buenos Aires stock market, the Merval, down nearly 11 percent, and led analysts to question whether the nationalization, which is subject to approval by the Argentine legislature, puts property rights at risk and threatens the rule of law in the country.

It may be the first time a Latin American government has expropriated cash. The move is expected to give the government breathing room as falling commodity prices drive down tax revenue from agriculture by as much as $6 billion next year, according to some estimates. Commodity prices have fallen as fears of a global slowdown have grown.

Dear barrack obama Oct 22, 2008 7:05 pm

dear barrack obama, why do you lie about you associates and say only the things that you think people want to hear? why would you appoint a man who ruined fanny mae and freddie mac as an advisor to your campaign? why would you vow to be in favor of campaign finance reform and then change your mind when the millions come pourin in? What else will you change your mind about if elected? why if you are so open and honest wont your release those 200$ campaign contributions list.. even if you dont have to? why did you accept foreign money and then have to return it? Why did you say you wanted to spread the wealth around when you didnt have a speech writer there to tell you what to say, then proceed to try to dig anything you could to discredit the man who asked the question of you? why did you lie about your association of ayers, and say he is a guy in the neighborhood when you served on committees with him? how can you sit in a church for 20 yrs and deny that you heard your pastor spout off anti American and racist remarks? and then think it is ok to say, ooops i didnt know and think we should forget...why did you support tony rezco, owner of slum apartments in the city that you are so in favor of helping the poor, you vow to want to help the poor people of the united states, but accepted money from rezco, when he vowed not to be able to afford to heat his apt buildings and left the residents suffer, while he could make a 1000$ contribution to your campaign. you obama, had worked as a lawyer and a legislator to improve living conditions for the poor, took campaign donations from Rezko even as Rezko's low-income housing empire was collapsing, leaving many African-American families in buildings riddled with problems -- including squalid living conditions, vacant apartments, lack of heat, squatters and drug dealers.

The building in Englewood was one of 30 Rezmar rehabbed in a series of troubled deals largely financed by taxpayers. Every project ran into financial difficulty. More than half went into foreclosure, a Chicago Sun-Times investigation has found.

"Their buildings were falling apart,'' said a former city official. "They just didn't pay attention to the condition of these buildings.''

Eleven of Rezko's buildings were in your state Senate district.
But your ties with Rezko go beyond those two real estate sales and the political support, the Sun-Times found. you were an attorney with a small Chicago law firm -- Davis Miner Barnhill & Galland -- that helped Rezmar get more than $43 million in government funding to rehab 15 of their 30 apartment buildings for the poor.
why would you deny your ties to the voter fraud group ACORN? did you think there are no records of you working for them? why downplay your role with them?
Not surprisingly it turns out that Reverend Jeremiah Wright and Father Michael Pfleger - two radical clergy closely associated with Obama - have extensive ties to ACORN . Their views fit nicely within the ACORN anti-capitalist agenda that they have been pushing for years.

what associations do you have with louis farrakhan, who recently gave a speech which said..

,

"You are the instruments that God is going to use to bring about universal change, and that is why Barack has captured the youth. And he has involved young people in a political process that they didn't care anything about. That's a sign. When the Messiah speaks, the youth will hear, and the Messiah is absolutely speaking."

he also went on to say

"Brothers and sisters," Farrakhan said, "Barack Obama to me, is a herald of the Messiah. Barack Obama is like the trumpet that alerts you something new, something better is on the way."

Farrakhan points out that the man Nation of Islam followers refer to as "the Savior," Fard Muhammad, had a black father and a white mother, just as Obama did.

"A black man with a white mother became a savior to us," he said. "A black man with a white mother could turn out to be one who can lift America from her fall.

"Would God allow Barack to be president of a country that has been so racist, so evil in its treatment of Hispanics, native Americans, blacks?" he asked. "Would God do something like that? Yeah. Of course he would. That's to show you that the stone that the builders rejected has become the headstone of the corner. This is a sign to you. It's the time of our rise. It's the time that we should take our place. The future is all about you."

the reverend (and i use that word loosley) has been heard saying that all white people are of the devil..

how many of these people do you need to keep renouncing.. birds of a feather flock together... and you my dear sir, have one hell of a flock around you.. and to me.. its startin to smell...

so does anyone doubt that this will happen if the whole country adopts this program?? people quit paying for healthcare cause its "free"

Hawaii pulls out of nation's only universal child health care program just months after launch

By MARK NIESSE | Associated Press Writer

HONOLULU (AP) _ Hawaii is dropping the only state universal child health care program in the country just seven months after it launched.

Gov. Linda Lingle's administration cited budget shortfalls and other available health care options for eliminating funding for the program. A state official said families were dropping private coverage so their children would be eligible for the subsidized plan.

"People who were already able to afford health care began to stop paying for it so they could get it for free," said Dr. Kenny Fink, the administrator for Med-QUEST at the Department of Human Services. "I don't believe that was the intent of the program."

State officials said Thursday they will stop giving health coverage to the 2,000 children enrolled by Nov. 1, but private partner Hawaii Medical Service Association will pay to extend their coverage through the end of the year without government support.
