I'm A LittleToo Harsh ... You Say??? Dec 3, 2008 7:26 pm
92 Views
Good Evening ...

Seems I've been getting some comments ...

that ... taaa ...

I'm a little too harsh ...
Not warm and cuddly enough.

Well! That's simply not true folks ...
I'm feeling warm and googly ...
And I'd like to do the same for you.

Soooooo ...

Hop up in a big chair ...
Get a nice warm blanket ...
Sip on a cup of hot chocolate ...

'Cause
I'm going to read you a story.

Are you ready?
Here goes...

'Twas the night before Christmas
And all through the house...
Not a creature was stirring
since the cat ate the mouse.

My support hose were hung
By the chimney with care.
(I hung them last Christmas
And just left them there.)

My dog, Floyd, was nestled
All snug in his bed,
After watching the cat rip
The presents to shreds.

And I in my long johns
And ratty night cap
Had just settled my butt
For a long winter's nap.

When out on the lawn
There arose such a clatter,
I swore at the window,
"What the (blank) is the matter?"

I tore open the window,
Not a second to tarry,
All ready to throw
The noisemaker a berry.

A bright moon was lighting
The new-fallen snow...
And I had a moon of my own
Set to show.

Floyd was beside me,
Paw pointing the way
Toward eight tiny reindeer
Hitched up to a sleigh...

And a little old driver
So cheery and quick,
I thought for a moment
That I would be sick.

Like a bat out of...you know,
His reindeer they came,
And I whistled and shouted
And called them some names--

"Hey, Hornhead! Hey, Furface!
Hey, Weiner and Turkey!
Yo, Klutzy and Mangy
And Venison Jerky!

Stay off of my porch!
Get away from my wall!
Now hit the road, hit the road,
Hit the road, all!

But as pedestrians before
My old Buick , they fly
And head for high ground
With great fear in their eyes,

So up to my rooftop
The fleabags they flew,
With a sleigh full of toys
And old Fruitcake - Breath too.

And then, in a twinkling,
I heard on the roof
Holes in my new shingles
Made by each tiny hoof.

As I reached for my slingshot
And a marble as well,
Down the chimney
St. Nicholas Tumbled and fell.

He had a huge sack of
Cheap junk on his back
And I whispered to Floyd,
"Be prepared to attack."

His eyes they were squinting,
His toy bag was draggin',
And I felt for a moment
Like I'd soon be gaggin'.

He was dressed all in red.
With a bell on his hat.
And a belt of black leather
To hold back the fat.

A billowing pipe
He clenched tight in his smile,
And the smell was like something
Had been dead for awhile.

He had a broad face
And a little round belly
That shook when I nailed him
With a handful of jelly.

He was chubby and plump,
Well, actually porky,
And I laughed when I tripped him
(He looked pretty dorky).

He was like a beached whale
Unable to budge.
And he tasted good , too,
If the dog was a judge.

I spoke not a word
But went straight to my work--
A noogie, a wedgie,
A cry of "You jerk!"

Until laying a finger
Aside of his nose,
With a loud cry of "Uncle!"
Up the chimney he rose.

He sprang to the sleigh
And dragged in the toys,
Then he cried to the reindeer,
"Get me out of here, Boys!"

And I had to exclaim
As a slushball I tossed,
"Happy Christmas to all,
And to all a Get Lost!"

But then, as I turned,
I saw 'neath the tree
Two gaily wrapped presents--
One for Floyd, one for me.

A big bag of jerky
Turned Floyd mighty chipper,
While for me was a pair
Of brand-new bunny slippers.

I looked out the window,
And hovering there,
Old Santa was winking
From his sleigh in midair...

"Merry Christmas, Maxine!"
He cried, full of cheer,
"Same to you, Pal!" I answered,
("I'll get you next year!")

lemon juice
1 tsp baking soda
4 large eggs
1 cup of sugar
1 cup nuts
1 tsp salt
2 cups of dried fruit
1 cup of brown sugar
1 bottle Jack Daniel's Whiskey

level cup and drink.

Turn on the electric mixer...Beat one cup of butter in a large fluffy
bowl. Add one teaspoon of sugar...Beat again. At this point it's best
to make sure the Jack Daniel's is still OK, try another cup ...just in
case.

Turn off the mixerer thingy. Break 2 leggs and add to the bowl and
chuck in the cup of dried fruit, Pick the frigging fruit off floor... Mix
on the turner. If the fried druit gets stuck in the beaterers just pry it
loose with a drewscriver. Sample the Jack Daniel's to check for
tonsisticity.

Next, sift two cups of salt, or something. Who giveshz a sheet. Check
the Jack Daniel's. Now shift the lemon juice and strain your nuts. Add
one table. Add a spoon of sugar, or somefink. Whatever you can find.
Greash the oven.

Turn the cake tin 360 degrees and try not to fall over. Don't forget to
beat off the turner. Finally, throw the bowl through the window,
finish the Dack Janiels and make sure to put the stove in the
dishwasher.

Ancient Dreams ... ... A Guide to Interpreting Your Dreams #4 Dec 3, 2008 12:43 am
121 Views
Originally dreams were thought to be part of the supernatural world. As far back as memory serves, humans have always dreamed and in some way were aware of their dreams, if not able to understand them. In pre-historic times, dreams were recorded on cave walls where one might find a prone body with an image above it and wavy lines connecting the 2 images.

Most dreams were linked with the 'supernatural', messages sent from gods or ways to heal the person dreaming as reality has always been about healing and the journey of humanity back to its creational source. Every ancient civilization developed some manner in which to record dreams, often recorded as oral tradition to be kept by the Record Keepers, Elders, Shaman, of that culture. If a message came from god, it was prophecy, holy and would one day determine to journey of the people.

Atlanteans used dreams temples and crystals arranged in a specific matrix to enhance their dreams thus receiving messages from those of our realms. Today, many people dream of a place called Atlantis, merging this reality with their experiences there. They often view themselves in the final days of Atlantis, before it allegedly sank into the 'sea of creation' as it is a parallel running grid.

Our dreamtime is spent in parallel grids of experience. The fall of Atlantis mirrors our current experience in which we are shown through dreams, and meditations, the ending of this reality and the beginning of a Golden Age, the Alchemy of Consciousness through time and illusion, dreams and projected reality.

Many people see themselves as priests or priestesses storing or hiding information in crystals as Atlantis fell. This information would be found in our 'current' [as in electromagnetic energies] time line, in computer technology, communication devices using crystals, crystal grids, gemstones and more. To Dream of Atlantis ... or any lost or alien civilization is to remember one's destiny and the geometry of creation.

Sumer ...The earliest recorded dreams are derived from materials dating back approximately 5000 years, in Mesopotamia. The Sumerians, the first cultural group to reside in Mesopotamia, left dream records dating back to 3100 BC. According to these early writings, deities and royals, such as the 7th century BC scholar-king Assurbanipal, gave careful attention to dreams.
Within Assurbanipal's archive of clay tablets, portions of the story of the legendary king Gilgamesh were found. In this epic poem, one of the earliest known classical stories, Gilgamesh reported his recurring dreams to his goddess-mother Ninsun, who made the first recorded dream interpretation. His dreams were taken as prophecy and used to guide actions in the waking world. These attitudes recorded in the Gilgamesh epic provide a valuable source of information about ancient dream beliefs.

The Assyrians believed in dreams as omens. For example, if a person fled in their dreams it indicated all would be lost. The Babylonians divided dreams into two categories, Good dreams were sent by the Gods and Bad dreams sent by Demons.

Ancient Egyptians had great temples which they used for initiations and as dream shrines as they believed that the Gods showed themselves in dreams. The King's Chamber in the Great Pyramid was one such place. The Egyptians believed dreams were based on real events.

The recording of dreams in Egypt may be traced back to 2000 B.C. were the Egyptians wrote these dreams on papyrus with dreams symbols. Egyptians were among the early civilizations to attempt interpretation of their dreams. Egypt was where the process of "dream incubation" began. When a person was having troubles in their life and wanted help from their god, they would sleep in a temple, when they would wake the next morning a priest, which was then called a Master of the Secret Things, would be consulted for the interpretations of that night's dreams.

They believed there were three main types of dreams ~ Those that happened as a result of ritual ~ Dreams that contained warnings ~ Dreams where the Gods were demanding some type of action.

******************************************************************
Key...
1. To lose keys indicates disappointments, obstacles, and setbacks, while finding keys represents discovering the perfect solution to a problem.
2. To give someone you know a key implies that you will offer assistance to that person, while giving a key to an unknown person indicates an improvement in your own circumstances. To be given a key augurs assistance from friends in positions of power.
3. To fit a key in a lock implies romantic and sexual happiness; unlocking a door indicates a breaking down of obstacles.

Killing...
1. If the dreamer is killing an enemy, this implies the end of a difficult time in his life attained through his own efforts.
2. If the dreamer accidentally kills someone, caution in dealing with upcoming situations is called for.
3. Dreaming of actually being killed is a warning: Something in your life is "killing" your joie de vivre, and the situation should be rectified right away.
4. Rarely, a death. But for the most part, dreaming of killing is NOT a harbinger of death - and, of course, the dreamer's death is never shown.

Kite...
A kite flying freely and easily in clear skies indicates the attainment of your highest dreams, whether you were the one flying the kite or were simply observing. If the kite string breaks, or the wind stops dead and the kite crashes to the ground, be prepared for everything you hope for to fall through at the last minute. To find how to avoid this, look to the other symbols in the dream.

Kissing...
1. A kiss from a lover, under happy circumstances, presages happiness and contentment.
2. A kiss from a stranger implies an unexpected gift.
3. An unwanted kiss indicates upcoming overtures from someone the dreamer does not like. The overtures may or may not be romantic in nature.

Knife...
1. A Freudian symbol for sexual passion. See GUN.
2. A knife being used to sever anything in two implies the impending end of a relationship of any kind - business, friendship, love.
3. A rusty or dull knife implies the dreamer's lack of ability to sever a relationship that is not serving her.
4. Cutting yourself with a knife warns that situations may arise where you become your own worst enemy.

Landslide/rockslide...
1. If the dreamer is witnessing the landslide as it happens, then sudden and unexpected events, which he really should be prepared for, will take him totally by surprise. The dream is warning him to be prepared. Other symbols in the dream may reveal exactly what the events will entail, and what he should do about it.
2. If the landslide has already taken place and the rocks are lying in the middle of the road, then the dreamer faces obstacles ahead that will need to be removed before he or she can move on and accomplish whatever it is that needs to be done.

Laundry...
1. If you are hanging a load of laundry out to dry, then something you prefer to keep hidden will soon become public knowledge - as in the metaphor, "airing your dirty laundry." But if you're taking your laundry down, folding it, and/or putting it away, don't worry - your secrets are safe.
2. Dreaming of actually doing your own laundry is a sign that you have made a major good impression on a friend or acquaintance, and as a result, opportunities - either business or social - will come your way.
3. Being in a laundry or dry cleaner's shop is an omen of an increased social life.

Las Vegas...
Sin City.
1. If you dream of being in a casino surrounded by gambling tables and slot machines, then you are depending too much on chance and not enough on your own efforts to steer your life in the right way. Dreaming of winning, however, is a sign that luck will play a major role in the success of a project or enterprise.
2. If you are watching a Las Vegas stage show, then something important in your life has less reality than glitz and glitter.
3. Driving on the Las Vegas strip indicates that you are approaching a time of your life when you will be concentrating more on having fun than on serious endeavors. Whether this is appropriate or not depends on other symbols in the dream.

Library...
An ancient symbol for knowledge. Almost always a positive omen, particularly for those involved in scholarly, creative, or artistic pursuits.

Lightning...
A very positive omen implying a major stroke of good luck coming your way in the near future. Even if the lightning was accompanied by rain and thunder, it is still a positive omen, but positive events will be preceded by a period of anxiety.

Lizard...
1. If you see a lizard among a group of people, then there is a false friend nearby who would betray you in a moment if it suited his or her ends.
2. In Native American mythology, the lizard is the dreamer. Dreaming of a lizard, therefore, is a sign that this dream is important and reveals a lot about where you're coming from, where you're going, and how best to get there. In order to get this information, look to the other symbols in the dream.

Lost...
1. If the dreamer is lost, there is a department in his life in which he has "lost his way." Look to other symbols in the dream to judge which department this is. If in the dream he finds his way, all should be well. But if he awakens before he finds himself, he should probably seek outside help with regard to the matter in question.
2. If an object is lost, or a beloved friend or pet, the dreamer needs to assess what that object or being, and the loss thereof, means to him. For example: A dream of losing one's wallet could mean fear of financial loss. Look to other symbols in the dream to find ways to avoid what one fears.

Love...
1. If the dream involves happiness in love, then happiness and contentment lie ahead.
2. If the dream involves an illicit or forbidden love, the dreamer is hiding things - perhaps even from herself.
3. If the dream is of observing the love between two other people, this portends the consummation of some of the dreamer's own hopes and wishes.
4. If the dream involves choosing between two rival lovers, the dreamer faces a difficult choice.

Lying...
1. If the dreamer is the one telling the lie, then he or she needs to beware of setbacks generated by his or her own foolish actions. Caution in all departments of life is definitely called for.
2. If someone else told the lie, however, it is a dream of contrary: success and good fortune lie ahead.
3. Dreaming of lying to authority figures, or in court, indicates that honesty is definitely going to be the best policy for some time: Do NOT lie to anyone!
4. If someone else lies to authority figures, however, it is a sign that you will benefit from someone else's mistakes - and soon.

Can You Make Someone Fall In Love With You? Dec 2, 2008 12:18 pm
273 Views
Intuitively speaking, yes you can.

With insight, ingenuity, and enough restraint, you can truly make someone fall in love with you. But ONLY if he or she doing so has the potential for loving you to begin with. As much as we may want to, we can never make the wrong partners right for us.

You could literally stand on your head to try to make someone fall in love with you, but if that person is not already inclined to take that "fall," it will never happen. This is where wishful thinking so often plays a major role. We can get so caught up in our own hopes and dreams for the future that we tend to forget that the recipients of our love may just not feel the way we do.

These people are, for all practical purposes, the sum total of their own life experiences, and what they feel or don't feel is as worthy of defense for them as our own feelings are for us. Still, we continue to persist. We send letters, make phone calls, and try to be in the same places they are-hoping that by persevering in our mission to have them fall "in love" with us, these people will inevitably succumb to our desires. Sorry, but reality just doesn't work that way.

When you first meet someone, or you even just see someone at a distance to whom you feel attracted, the attraction doesn't necessarily go both ways. You must remember, that person is operating with a mind set that is the result of personal experiences within the framework of his or her own life. You can think you are the man or woman of someone's dreams, but unless this individual is able to also perceive this-unless an emotional connection between the two of you already has the potential for becoming reality-that connection will never take place. I can't stress enough how important this realization is for finding happiness in new relationships.

First of all, men and women in general are initially attracted on two different levels. Women are initially drawn emotionally. Women are emotional creatures by nature and lead their lives from an emotional center. Men, on the other hand, tend to be drawn sexually first. It is a basic fact of their existence. Men are propagators of the species, where women instinctively assume the role of nurturer.

From the outset we have people with entirely different points of view on life searching to relate to each other on some sort of common ground. That common ground will, more times than not, initially take the shape of physical attraction, and if there is potential, that attraction will inevitably develop into a meaningful, emotional bond. When you meet men, ladies, you need to remember: These men are initially being guided by sexual instinct. When you men meet ladies, you also need to remember that they are operating from an entirely different value system from yours initially. This is one that begins and ends with emotion.

How do you find that common ground on which to build a strong, meaningful relationship in the future? To begin with, you can get an insightful reading from a good reader who will tell you if such a relationship does, in fact, have the potential for becoming reality before you even attempt to spin your wheels. You can strive to establish a sound friendship between the two of you first. We frequently dismiss friendship as not even being related to romantic love- and yet, friendship is the best foundation for marriage and permanent, loving relationships that there is. You can allow the recipient of your feelings to take the lead in good time, while waiting and watching for signs that will let you know that they are in fact interested. But no matter how hard you may try, you cannot force someone into feeling something for you if the potential is simply not there for them to ultimately feel it.

The future, whether we like it or not, comes in its own time and in its own way, and no amount of pressure or effort on your part will ever change that fact. Too often, when we meet someone where there is potential for a meaningful relationship to take shape, we try to make it happen for us immediately.

Relationships ... good relationships ... take time to develop and grow. These relationships simply can't be rushed. If you were planting seeds in a garden, would you say, "I want to see fully ripened tomatoes here tomorrow?" No. You'd tend that garden faithfully, content to watch those tomatoes grow naturally, day after day. You'd care for them, watch over them with patience and concern, allowing nature to follow its own course. This is how we should view our relationships ... as seeds in a garden that need our time, and attention, and patience as they slowly take root and grow. Rome, after all, wasn't built in a day and neither are solid, secure relationships that can withstand the test of time.

So how can you make someone fall in love with you when the potential exists for them doing so? First, be receptive. One should let people sit and talk about whatever happens to be on their minds, even if it's how hurt they are from a previous relationship. Feeling that they can confide in you is a big initial step toward establishing future intimacy. Second, be a challenge. Nobody wants to pursue a meaningful relationship with someone who comes across as available to anyone who happens to look their way. Be challenging psychologically, intellectually, and sexually.

Let them know that you have a good mind, a caring heart, and the self-respect to share yourself sexually just with someone you love. Help them to feel that giving them your time and attention-and later your affection-makes them, in your eyes very special indeed.

Third, be forgiving. We've all been places and done things that we regret and are ashamed of. Forgiveness is, after all,the key to truly loving anyone in life. Whether it is a mother, father, lover, friend, or a child, forgiveness is the essence of true love. Perhaps it is most important to allow the people you care for the time and freedom to reach that important moment of caring for you by giving them time and understanding to reach this conclusion on their own. We are all, each of us, following our own individual paths toward the future and not necessarily operating from the same emotional levels.

When a relationship actually has the potential for becoming reality, you will know it on a highly intuitive level. You will feel pulled, as if by an imaginary string, toward that person. You will feel a sense of "completeness" just by being physically near to them. This is the feeling which tells us, "I'm going to marry him or her one day." It isn't a feeling that says, "Gee, I sure would like to have sex with him or her one day." It is a feeling on a far, far deeper level-even if you have only just meet. Once perceived, you are able to intuitively "know" when you have met the individual capable of making you fall in love, for real. You experience that feeling of "completeness." Your heart is suddenly made whole. Honest, pure, real love isn't something you "fall into." It is simply something you just "know."

Aboriginal 'DreamTime' ... ... A Guide To Interpreting Your Dreams #3 Dec 1, 2008 10:20 pm
171 Views
The 'Aboriginal Dreamtime' is that part of aboriginal culture which explains the origins and culture of the land and its people. In Australian Aboriginal mythology, the 'The Dreaming' or 'Altjeringa' (also called the Dreamtime) is a sacred 'once upon a time' ~ time out of time ~ in which ancestral Totemic Spirit Beings formed The Creation.

Aborigines have the longest continuous cultural history of any group of people on Earth, dating back, by some estimates, 65,000 years. Dreamtime is Aboriginal Religion and Culture. Aboriginals believe in two forms of time; two parallel streams of activity. One is the daily objective activity, the other is an infinite spiritual cycle called the "dreamtime", more real than reality itself. Whatever happens in the dreamtime establishes the values, symbols, and laws of Aboriginal society. It was believed that some people of unusual spiritual powers had contact with the dreamtime.

The Dreamtime contains many parts: It is the story of things that have happened, how the universe came to be, how human beings were created and how the Creator intended for humans to function within the cosmos. "Dreaming" is also often used to refer to an individual's or group's set of beliefs or spirituality. For instance, an Indigenous Australian might say that they have Kangaroo Dreaming, or Shark Dreaming, or Honey Ant Dreaming, or any combination of Dreamings pertinent to their "country". However, many Indigenous Australians also refer to the creation time as "The Dreaming". The Dreamtime laid down the patterns of life for the Aboriginal people. "The Dreaming" was the time of creation.

As with all other cultures, it speaks of Earth's Creation by Gods and Goddesses, some of whom were kind hearted, while others were cruel. Stories cover many themes and topics, as there are stories about creation of sacred places, land, people, animals and plants, law and custom. It is a complex network of knowledge, faith, and practices that derive from stories of creation, and which pervades and informs all spiritual and physical aspects of an indigenous Australian's life.

They believe that every person in an essential way exists eternally in the Dreaming. This eternal part existed before the life of the individual begins, and continues to exist when the life of the individual ends. Both before and after life, it is believed that this spirit-child exists in the Dreaming and is only initiated into life by being born through a mother. The spirit of the child is culturally understood to enter the developing fetus during the 5th month of pregnancy. When the mother felt the child move in the womb for the first time, it was thought that this was the work of the spirit of the land in which the mother then stood. Upon birth, the child was considered to be a special custodian of that part of their country and taught of the stories and songlines of that place.

One of the beliefs was that before animals and humans and plants were created, there were souls and they knew that they would become physical, but not know when. They then knew the time was right and they all one by one all said "we will do our very best to try to help the one that takes care of us all." Then they all became animals and the plants. Then the last soul became the human. That is why aboriginals all respect the environment and want to be with the nature because they are their friends.

Traditional Australian indigenous peoples embrace all phenomena and life as part of a vast and complex system-reticulum of relationships which can be traced directly back to the ancestral Totemic Spirit Beings of The Dreaming. This structure of relations, including food taboos, was important to the maintenance of the biological diversity of the indigenous environment and may have contributed to the prevention of overhunting of particular species.

The Australian Aborigines speak of jiva or guruwari, a seed power deposited in the earth. In the Aboriginal world view, every meaningful activity, event, or life process that occurs at a particular place leaves behind a vibrational residue in the earth, as plants leave an image of themselves as seeds. The shape of the land, its mountains, rocks, riverbeds, and waterholes , and its unseen vibrations echo the events that brought that place into creation. Everything in the natural world is a symbolic footprint of the metaphysical beings whose actions created our world. As with a seed, the potency of an earthly location is wedded to the memory of its origin.

The Dreaming establishes the structures of society rules for social behaviour and the ceremonies performed in order to ensure continuity of life and land. The Dreaming governs the laws of community, cultural lore and how peoples are required to behave in their communities. The condition that is The Dreaming is met when peoples live according to law, and live the lore: perpetuating initiations and Dreaming transmissions or lineages, singing the songs, dancing the dances, telling the stories, painting the Songlines and Dreamings.

The creation was believed to be the work of culture heroes that in the creative epoch travelled across a formless land, creating sacred sites and significant places of interest in their travels. In this way songlines were established, some of which could travel right across Australia, through as many as six to ten different language groupings. The songs and dances of a particular songline were kept alive and frequently performed at large gatherings, organised in good seasons.

In the Aboriginal world view, every event leaves a record in the land. Everything in the natural world is a result of the actions of the archetypal beings, beings whose actions created the world. The Aborigines called this potency the "Dreaming" of a place, and this Dreaming constitutes the sacredness of the earth. Only in extraordinary states of consciousness can one be aware of, or attuned to, the inner dreaming of the Earth.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Gate...
1. An open gate is a harbinger of promising opportunities in the near future.
2. Dreaming of a closed gate is an obstacle dream. However, the obstacles can be overcome if you work hard at it. To judge exactly what obstacles you face, look to other symbols in the dream.
3. A locked gate implies obstacles that are practically impassible, unless in the dream you also find ways to go over it, under it, or around it. In the latter case, success is practically guaranteed.

Game...
Dreaming of playing games traditionally means a time of relaxation and ease, wherein one can regather his or her resources. But in this day and age, it could be a pun, indicating that someone is "playing games" with you. Watching a game hints at feelings of being on the outside looking in ~ or possibly feelings that you're sitting on the sidelines while life passes you by. If you're playing and enjoying a game, then life will be good to you. But if you're frustrated by it, expect a few setbacks.

Garbage...
A dream of contrary, usually a positive omen. Taking out the garbage symbolizes jettisoning all the "garbage" in your life that is holding you back from success. Walking through or past garbage indicates passing by or over negative influences and thus heading for happiness and good fortune.

Ghost...
1. Dreaming of a haunted house indicates that guilt from the past is holding you back from accomplishing something you really want. Actually seeing a ghost, however, is an omen of good luck.
2. If you are frightened by a ghost, this could mean that mistakes in your past have "come back to haunt you." It could also mean that intense pressure to do something against your principles could be put upon you by someone in a position of authority.
3. If the ghost is someone known to you who has passed on and who speaks to you, listen. The message is important. See Dying.

Giant...
1. A reflection of the "David and Goliath" archetype. Dreaming of meeting a giant implies meeting challenges boldly and with confidence. Killing a giant is an omen of success beyond your wildest dreams.
2. Dreaming of being a giant sometimes indicates overconfidence. Be cautious of any new enterprises at this time.

Gift...
1. Receiving a gift can mean either a lucky break or a betrayal ~ a warning of "Greeks bearing gifts" - depending on the circumstances and/or other symbols in the dream.
2. Giving a gift, however, is always a symbol of happy times ahead.

Girl...
Depending on the circumstances and other symbols, dreaming of a young girl is generally a positive omen. If you know her, and the other dream symbols support it, this is a portent of new opportunities; if she is a stranger, expect some surprising news. For a woman, a strange girl can represent her youthful side; for a man, she could represent his ideal lover.

Glasses/Spectacles...
The significance of this dream depends on whether or not the dreamer normally wears glasses. If he or she does normally wear glasses, this aspect of the dream has little significance. But for someone who does not wear glasses, dreaming of wearing glasses is a sign that things that are confusing now will become clearer very soon ~ unless it's sunglasses, in which case things may become more obscure. Again, if you're not certain what it is that will become either clearer or more obscure, look to the other symbols in the dream.

Glove...
A symbol of security. If the gloves are brand-new, this symbolizes financial security; if the gloves are long evening-type gloves, or gauntlets, this means security in love matters. Losing gloves indicates temporary setbacks, and dirty or worn-out gloves imply difficulties, but all still imply security in the long run.

God, Goddess...
A sense of the presence of God or Goddess in a dream is an augur of spiritual revelation and advancement, esoteric insights, and peace of mind. The meaning of dreams of pagan gods depends on the association with that god.

Gorilla...
Dreaming of this gentle, kindhearted animal almost always signifies a new friendship, or the reaffirming of an old friendship. Even if the gorilla appears to be on the rampage, this is still a positive symbol. A gorilla that is angry or upset merely indicates minor misunderstandings with a friend.

Grain...
Another symbol of Earth's bounty. Dreams of grain are almost always harbingers of prosperity and happiness, unless the grain is burning or spoiled. In that case, a setback could be in the works, but still, grain is such a positive symbol that the setback in question should be easily resolved.

Grass (Lawn)...
A healthy, well-kept lawn or other stretch of grass augurs success and prosperity, while sunburnt, blackened, or dead grass indicates financial setbacks. To dream of planting, sowing or sodding grass indicates that you'll have to work very hard to attain your goals, while cutting or mowing grass implies attaining security but nothing much beyond that.

Grandchild...
A symbol of hope for the future. If the dreamer actually has grandchildren, this is a very personal symbol, implying that the future of the family is pretty much secure. If the dreamer does not have grandchildren, it indicates that the dreamer's own future is bright and promising. If the dream is of someone else's grandchildren, then the dream is more cosmic in its scope: the world is NOT going to go totally down the tubes.

Grandmother...
A symbol of knowledge and wisdom, as well as security and protection.

Grandfather...
A grandfather also represents knowledge and wisdom, but with a touch of authority and tradition thrown in.

Gray...
Gray is a rather depressing color; some mystics believe it to be the color of the aura of a prison. Some sources believe it to indicate a slow period in the dreamer's life, when he or she is merely "marking time."

Green...
Peace. Tranquillity. The Earth. Money. A journey. Good news.

Gun...
1. In Freudian dream analysis, a symbol for physical passion. If the dreamer is the one doing the shooting, then he is consciously or unconsciously searching for a partner. If the dreamer is the one being shot, someone out there feels desire for him.
2. The release, or need for release, of pent-up anger. Again, if the dreamer is doing the shooting, she needs to control her temper and find a positive way to release her anger. If she is the victim, then someone is angry with her.
3. Something important coming up, implying a need to "get out the big guns."

Gypsy....
1. Dreaming of a female gypsy fortuneteller indicates unexpected good news, while dreaming of a male gypsy, usually a musician, foreshadows romance.
2. If the dreamer saw a band of gypsies, particularly if they were traveling in caravans, a move may be in store, or perhaps a period of uncertainty and insecurity.
3. Buying something from a gypsy indicates good luck after a period of uncertainty.

Hail...
A series of misfortunes lie ahead that could place your present goals in jeopardy. Look to the other symbols in the dream to judge which goals they are, or how to avert the misfortunes and save your projects.

Hair...
1. An ancient symbol for strength and power. See BALD. Thick, luxuriant hair is a symbol for good health, and thin, wispy hair a sign of oncoming illness.
2. Brushing or combing the hair indicates finding the solution to a problem. Dreaming of someone pulling your hair implies betrayal.

Hand...
1. A hand that is open and pointing towards the sky is giving the "Fear not!" gesture of ancient times. Therefore, if you see this symbol, whether the hand is of a person or is totally disembodied, something that you're afraid of is actually nothing to fear.
2. Beautiful, well-kept hands indicate satisfaction in life, while dirty hands indicate some kind of "mess" in your life that needs to be "cleaned up."
3. Hands that are working diligently indicate success and good fortune through the dreamer's own efforts.
4. Hands that caress the dreamer or someone else in the dream, including a pet, imply happiness in love, while hands that are waving in farewell indicate temporary separations.
5. Tied hands imply obstacles in attaining one's goals, while shaking hands imply either a new friend or a reunion with an old one.
6. Injured or bandaged hands indicates delays in attaining one's goals; look to other symbols in the dream to discern how these delays can be subverted, or, if they're inevitable, how best the time during the delays can be spent.

Hat...
1. If the hat is new, the dreamer may be considering a new job ~ and should go for it. If the hat is old and shabby, the dreamer's current job will eventually "get old."
2. If the hat is too small for the dreamer, something in his life for which he had high hopes could turn out to be a disappointment. But if the hat is too large, he has bitten off more than he could chew.
3. A top hat or fashionable ladies' hat indicates a rise in social status.

Hawk...
In Native American mythology, the hawk is the messenger. Therefore, if the hawk seems to be friendly, an important and probably positive message will come your way. Other symbols in the dream can reveal what that message concerns. Hawk can also indicate an important opportunity coming your way. If the hawk seems forbidding, however, this is a warning to take care of your emotional baggage before seizing whatever new opportunity comes your way.

Hiding...
1. If the dreamer is doing the hiding, there is a part of him that is "hidden," even from him, that perhaps needs to come to the surface and be looked at.
2. If the dreamer hides an object from someone else, then he is concealing something that perhaps needs to be revealed.
3. If the dreamer is searching for someone or something, there is something missing, either an idea or an actual object, that she needs to find and make use of. Other symbols in the dream could reveal exactly what that is.

Homeless...
A symbol of total powerlessness. 1. If the dreamer is the homeless one, then he or she is facing an unpleasant situation, which seems to have no solution. But if, in the dream, the weather is good, the dreamer has more strength than he or she thinks. If the weather is bad, however, there is little or no hope, and it might be best if the dreamer just cuts the losses and moves on.
2. If the dreamer sees a band of homeless people, then this is a dream of contrary. The dreamer may not be aware of it, but there are people around who care for him and are willing to help him out of his difficulties.

Ice...
1. To put ice into a drink indicates that perhaps the dreamer is spending too much time indulging in pleasures and not enough on practical matters. However, to be surrounded by ice, or to sit on it, implies comfortable living ahead that has been well earned.
2. Slipping on ice or falling through thin ice implies difficulties and obstacles ahead, while deliberately breaking through ice indicates new friendships. Remember the metaphor, "breaking the ice"?
3. Skating on ice alone indicates success ahead, but skating with a partner COULD mean that someone is sabotaging your efforts. Or it could mean a successful partnership. To judge which it is, look to other symbols in the dream.

Illness...
1. Often times, dreaming of illness has been shown to be a warning of an impending illness, the nature of which is sometimes revealed in the other symbols in the dream. If the dreamer has been feeling weak, or under a lot of stress, she should consult a doctor.
2. If the dreamer has not been feeling ill, this is a symptom of something else in your life being out of kilter. Again, look to the other symbols in the dream.
3. Dreaming of others being ill is a warning of upcoming difficulties with your relationships.

Infidelity...
1. If the dreamer is the one being unfaithful, then he is dealing with feelings of guilt over an apparent betrayal.
2. If an actual lover is the one being unfaithful, then this indicates the dreamer's insecurities over the relationship. The partner may or may not actually be unfaithful, but either way the dreamer needs to deal with her feelings.
3. If an unknown figure is the one being unfaithful, then the dreamer needs to be more discriminating with regard to who she calls friend.

Jesus Christ...
Always a positive symbol, though at times it can represent a warning. 1. If you yourself are following Jesus, wearing period garb, and actually observing his work, this could be a past-life memory, especially if the dream is especially vivid. Be sure and write down every detail you remember, because the dream is actually telling you a lot about you as well as about Jesus.
2. If Jesus is speaking to you in the here and now, again, when you awaken, write down everything he says that you can remember. It could be important.
3. If you see Jesus coming out of the sky, as in the prophecies of the Rapture, some momentous event is going to make a very major and positive difference in your life.
4. If you see Jesus speaking with other Masters ~ such as Krishna, Buddha, and Mohammed ! Again, write down what you hear. This is a message that can make a big difference to your spiritual progress.

The Night Before Christmas ... Texas Style

'Twas Christmas Eve in Texas, when all 'cross th' ranch,
Not one critter was stirrin', not even a branch;
Th' boot-socks were hung from barbed wire with care,
In hopes that th' tops this year would not tear;

Th' kids were all tucked up like cows in a shed,
While dreamin' of baked goods like cookies and bread;
Mom hung up her Stetson by my worn Resistol,
Took off boots, jeans and belts then in bed we did fall,

When out by th' barn there was all sorts of clangin'
We jumped up right quick to see what was a bangin'.
Grabbed up our rifles and dressed quick like hustlers,
Grabbed ammo 'n' shotguns case it was rustlers.

Moon glow on tin roof shined by sand blowin' hard
Gave enough light for seein' and showed th' farmyard,
We 'uns concluded we was a seein' thangs
Like, an old worn-out stagecoach pulled by eight green-broke mustangs,

With a great big ol' driver, who held a tight rein,
we sure knew right quickly it must be John Wayne.
Much faster than bullets his horses sure came,
Still he whistled, and shouted, and yelled out each name:

"Now Pitchfork! now Pickup! now, Chisum and Dallas!
On, Haybale! on, Hairball! on, Lonestar and Texas!
Right over th' leech field! and on past th' well pump
Now gee-up and yee-haw, git ready to jump!"

Like tumbleweeds scurry when tornadoes whirl by,
When they just go and head skyward, up they sure fly.
Yep, up to th' rooftop them horses strivin',
with that stage full of toys, and th' Duke a drivin'

In just a short moment we heard on th' roof
Th' stomping and stamping of each unshod hoof.
As we threw on our hats, and were heading downstairs,
John Wayne kicked in the front door which fell on two chairs.

Was dressed like a sheriff, from his hat to his boots,
And his clothes were all showin' deep-down western roots;
Saddle bag of toys he had flung 'cross his back,
and small things stuffed in pockets too much for his pack.

His eyes how they squinted! his pistol how gleamin'!
His badge was all shiny, his neck scarf tied streamin'!
His shirt unbuttoned, with th' flap hanging down
And th' jut of his chin was as fierce as his frown;

His rifle he held onto tight in his hand,
'Til he got a good feel for the lay of the land;
He had broad shoulders which carried quite a load in
And shook when he laughed as his face creased with a grin.

He was handsome and tall, a legend come to life,
And we sure liked what we saw both me 'n' th' wife.
Him winkin' at Mom and a noddin' his head
Made us glad we did not get Santa instead.

He drawled a few words, but he mostly just worked,
Filled boot-socks with oranges and meat, spicy-jerked,
And waving his hand in gesture well known,
Crashed through a window just as if he was thrown;

He sprang to his coach, toward his team the whip cracked,
Away they all galloped as if some injuns attacked.
But we all heard him shout, as he started to go,
"Howdy, Pardner, all y'all, saddle up, wagons ho!"

'Twas The Night Before Christmas ... In Texas, YeeHaw!

Twas the night before Christmas, In Texas you know,
Way out on the prairie, without any snow.
Asleep in their cabin, were Buddy and Sue,
A dreaming of Christmas, like me and like you.

Not stockings but boots, at the foot of their beds,
For this was Texas, What more need be said?
When all of a sudden from out the still night,
There came such a ruckus, it gave me a fright!

And I saw cross the prairie, like the shot from a gun,
A loaded up buckboard, Come on at a run.
The driver was "whistling" and "shouting" with a will,
The "Horses" (not reindeer) he drove with such skill.

"Come on there Buck, Poncho, and Prince, to the right"
There'll be plenty of travelin' for you-all tonight.
The driver in his Levis, and a shirt that was red,
Had a 10 gallon Stetson on the top of his head.

As he stepped from the buckboard, he was really a sight,
the beard on his chin was so curly and white.
As he burst in the cabin, the children awoke,
Both so astonished, that neither one spoke.

And he filled up their boots with such presents galore,
That neither could think of a single thing more.
When Buddy recovered the use of his jaws,
He asked in a whisper "Are you really Santa Claus?"

"Am I the real Santa? Well, what do you think?
And he smiled as he gave his mysterious wink.
Then he left in his buckboard, and called back in a drawl,
TO ALL CHILDREN OF TEXAS-MERRY CHRISTMAS...YEE HAW!

Barbie & Ken ... Letters to Santa Nov 30, 2008 8:13 pm
246 Views
Barbie's Letter To Santa:

Dear Santa,

Listen you fat troll, I've been saving your ass every year, being the perfect Christmas Present, wearing skimpy bathing suits in December and dressing in fake Chanel at sappy tea parties. I hate to break it to ya', Santa, but it's pay back time. There had better be some changes around here, or I'm gonna call for a nationwide meltdown, and trust me, you don't wanna be around to smell it.

These are my demands for Christmas 2001:

1. Sweat pants and an oversized sweatshirt. I'm sick of looking like a hooker in hot pink bikinis. Do you have any idea what it feels like to have nylon and Velcro up your butt? I don't suppose you do.

2. Real underwear that can be pulled on and off. That cheap-o molded underwear some genius at Mattel came up with looks like cellulite!

3. A REAL man... I don't care if you have to go to Hasbro to get him, bring me GI JOE. Hell, I'd take Tickle-Me-Elmo over that pathetic bump of a boy toy, Ken. And what was up with that earring anyway? HULLO!?!

4. It's about time you made us all anatomically correct. Give me arms that actually bend so I can push the aforementioned Ken-wimp away once he is anatomically correct.

5. Breast reduction surgery. 'Nuff said.

6. A jog bra. To wear until I get the surgery.

7. A new career. Pet doctor, school teacher and make real money.

8. A new, more 90s persona. Maybe "PMS Barbie," complete with a pint of cookie dough ice cream and a bag of chips.

9. No more McDonald's endorsements. The grease is wrecking my vinyl complexion.

10. Mattel stock options. It's been 40 years - I think I deserve a piece of the action. Considering my valuable contribution to society and Mattel, I think these demands are reasonable. If you don't like it, you can find yourself a new bitch for next Christmas. It's that simple.

Yours truly,
Barbie

Ken's Letter To Santa:

Dear Santa,

It has come to my attention that one of my colleagues has petitioned you for changes in her contract, specifically asking for anatomical and career changes. In addition, it is my understanding that disparaging remarks were made about me, my sexuality, and some of my fashion choices. I would like to take this opportunity to inform you of issues concerning Ms. Barbie, as well as some of my own needs and desires:

First, I, along with several of my colleagues, feel Ms. Barbie DOES NOT deserve the preferential treatment she has received over the years. That bitch has everything. Neither I, nor Joe, Jem, nor The Raggedys, Ann & Andy, have dream houses, Corvettes, dune buggies, evening gowns, and some of us do not even have the ability to change our hairstyle. I have had a limited wardrobe, obviously designed to complement but never upstage Ms. Barbie. My decision to accessorize with an earring was immediately quashed, which I protest, for it was my decision and reflects my lifestyle choice.

I would like a change in my career to further explore my creative nature. Some options which could be considered are "Decorator Ken," "Beauty Salon Ken," or "Broadway Ken." Other avenues which could be considered are: "Go-Go Ken," "Impersonator Ken" (with wigs and gowns), or "West Hollywood Ken." These would more accurately reflect my interests and, I believe, open up markets that have been under served.

As for Ms. Barbie needing bendable arms so she can "push me away", I need bendable knees so I can kick the bitch to the curb. Bendable knees would also be helpful in other situations of which you are aware.

In closing, further concessions to the Blonde Bimbo from Hell, while the needs of others within my coalition are ignored, will result in legal action to be taken by myself and others.

And kindly tell Ms. Barbie she can forget about G.I. Joe ... he's mine, at least that's what he said last night.

Sincerely,
Ken

Dream Factors ... A Guide To Interpreting Your Dreams #2 Nov 30, 2008 6:27 pm
242 Views
External & Internal Factors
That Affect Dreams While Sleeping...

Just about anything external or internal can be incorporated in your dreams and influence the events. Sometimes the influences are positive while other times they create fear and panic as they are warnings. Crystals can enhance dream state in many ways, depending on the type of crystal and how it is used. It can be placed near your, under the pillow, or worn.
Books ~ Photos ~ Audio tapes or other recordings playing while you sleep ~ Music ~ Sound Machine that creates a soothing noise, water, white noise, other ~ Astrological Influences, Moon, Depends on your chart ~ Scents, Herbs ~ Health issues ~ Diet ~ Chemicals in the Body ~ Emotional Issues

External stimuli while you are sleeping, Example ... It is raining heavily outside, so water could be incorporated in your dream. The soul can take information from anything it is experiencing and incorporating it into your dream. Events occurring prior to going to sleep: Media (TV, Radio, Video), something you have read, a conversation, or other physical activities can impact on your dreams.

Before and After Dreamtime...
As reality is programmed illusion, you can preset your programming for dreamtime, before you go to sleep. The power of suggestion often works when it comes to dreams. If you want to remember at least one dream, tell yourself that before going to sleep. If you do not want to have scary dreams, before you go to sleep, mentally state that, I do not want to have scary dreams. This is good to do when your life is in turmoil. If someone is attacking you in dreamtime, tell your spirit guides to protect you, and never allow that person near you. Example: An old lover who wants to contact with you in dreams. It is often helpful to review the events of your day before going to sleep, as if watching a movie. This is helpful if you wish to work out issues during dreamtime. After you wake up, it is best to remain still and focus on your dreams experiences.

Remembering & Interpreting Dreams...
We dream in a higher frequency of thought and light than our physical experience. Therefore when we slow down our frequency as we return to our conscious awareness to the physical mind and body, we often do not have the means to understand what occurred in dreamtime. Once consciousness enters, the physical mind, we return to the 'realms of forgetfulness' about who we are and the nature of a soul's experiences. Our thought processes move too slowly. Many view the physical as the dreamtime, as a result, as we are no longer aware. they see reality as a dream.
Some people remember their dreams while others have little or no recognition. Dreams help you work out issues. Emotions can distort memory. We often do not remember dreams because we do not wish to deal with the issues addressed. Most people remember what I call 'wake-up dreams.' As your consciousness returns to the physical mind, it slows down to a frequency where it become aware of something that is occurring on the other side that it wishes to remember. You wake up and you remember, if only for few minutes as your consciousness slowly returns to physical frequency. It is then you must record your dream information before the events are lost in time.

Dream Journal...
It often useful to keep a dated journal of your dreams. Keep it by your bed. Write the notes in the journal as soon as you 'wake up.' You may not understand their content until later. using a tape recorder is also advisable.

Interpreting Dreams...
Interpretation of dreams often vary. One must know about the dreamer and what is going on around them if this is a personal dream. If it is a universal dream, it may be more easily understood. For example, a friend dreamed about the Twin Towers in Manhattan being engulfed in water and collapsing. He dreamed this over and over again but did not understand its full meaning until the events of 9/11 occurred several weeks later. He is a fireman. He saw the water from the hoses. He lost many friends on 9/11.

Some dreams are exact in content while others are metaphoric. Most dreams have symbols. Your mind can only process the events in the dream based on symbols it understands. If you experience a dream that is not within the vocabulary of your mind, you will not be able to process and remember it. The physical mind has to be able to make sense of a dream, for you to remember it. It's like a young child being taught calculus. It has no way of understanding, and therefore processing or interpreting what it is being shown, so it forgets what it sees.

In dreamtime you generally receive messages in symbols or archetypes whose meaning you must later discover. This is not unlike messages received in meditations or other states of altered consciousness. Here is an example, You dream about 'keys.' Keys open locks, doorways. Something new will be shown. You must then look at the number of keys given, the metal of which they were made, and anything else given in your dream related to these keys, such as ... who gave them to you.

Death in a dream does not necessarily mean a physical death in as much as a transformation, old giving way to something new and better. A Dream Dictionary is often helpful in deciphering symbols as well as searching the internet for the symbolic meaning of that which has been shown to you.

Dream Dictionary, Part 2...

Dark, Darkness...
1. The ancients found the darkness a source of great fear, and so dreaming of darkness could be calling your attention to a fear you have that needs to be dealt with.
2. Darkness also hides one's surroundings, and so darkness in a dream could indicate that you are "in the dark" about something, and need to find the truth. If you walk through the darkness into the light, this is showing you that you will indeed find the truth, and success will come your way.
3. If a storm causes a bright day to suddenly turn into darkness, this is a warning not to get too complacent with your present circumstances, and to save for "a rainy day."

Daughter...
1. If the dreamer is pregnant, and the daughter an as-yet unknown, this could be a sign that she is going to have a girl.
2. If you have a daughter, she is trying to communicate something to you but may be afraid to. Other symbols in the dream could shed light on what it is.
3. If the dreamer is neither pregnant nor the parent of a daughter, yet in the dream she has a daughter, this could indicate that the dreamer will start a new creative project soon. If the daughter is pretty and happy, the project will be a success. But if the child is crying, the project will hit a lot of snags.
4. If the girl in question is the daughter of a celebrity, ask yourself what both the daughter and the celebrity mean to you. Look to other symbols in the dream to add further insight.

Devil...
The circumstances in the dream are very important. If you see the Devil in his usual context ~ in a pit full of fire, surrounded by demons ~ then you'd better ask yourself what guilty secret you're hiding and how it applies to your present circumstances. If the Devil speaks to you and seems friendly, then you're going to be faced with a temptation that will prove difficult to resist. If you fight him, you'll resist that temptation. If you see the Devil with someone you know, that person may be trying to manipulate you to serve his own ends.

Diamonds...
Not always a positive symbol.
1. If you are alone holding diamonds in your hand, someone you care for very deeply could be turning cold towards you.
2. If someone gives you diamonds, however, a project that means a lot to you could bring money your way.
3. If other symbols in the dream imply happiness and contentment, the appearance of diamonds could add wealth to the equation. But if the rest of the dream is dark and ominous, diamonds could signify loss. When interpreting a dream containing diamonds, it's important to remember that diamonds, however prized and beautiful, really are nothing more than cold, hard rocks.

Therefore, it is important that the dreamer recall the circumstances of the dream. If the dream was dark and ominous, the dragon probably symbolizes the "beast in you," which could mean that your own weaknesses could well get the best of you. Not a portent of death per se.
1. If you dream of dying yourself, then all your troubles will soon be over and you can start anew. However, it could also mean that a part of you is dying and, if the other symbols in the dream tell you that it's a part of you that you like, you'd better find a way to resurrect it, and fast.
2. Sometimes this can be a wish-fulfillment dream, if you dream that someone who is causing trouble for you is dying. Don't feel guilty; this is a better way to manifest that wish than other ways!

If the other symbols in the dream support this idea, honest communication with those involved is definitely called for.

Elephant...
Of all the domestic animals, the elephant is certainly one of the oldest known, if not the oldest. In Hindu mythology, Ganesha, the elephant-headed god, is one of the deities associated with wealth. Exam...
An upcoming crisis in the attainment of a cherished goal. If your relationship with your father was good, dreaming of him implies advancement and/or assistance from authority figures in your life. If your relationship with him was strained, however, dreaming of him indicates trouble coming from authority figures, such as your boss. If you're dreaming of a dead parent, especially if he or she is speaking to you, important news is coming your way. Whether the news is good or bad depends on other dynamics in the dream.

Fear...
This symbol needs to be considered in view of the dreamer's situation at the time. If your life circumstances are calm and pleasant at the moment, dreaming that you are afraid of something is a warning of trouble ahead. Other symbols in the dream, and circumstances in your life, can explain to you exactly what the trouble will be and how to resolve it.
