COWS ON PAREDE IN LA JOLLA

A colorful herd of life-size fiberglass cows mysteriously appeared on the streets of La Jolla, as plucked there by gremlins. The bovines were decorated by local artists as a part of a Cow Parede art exhibit. Among the 36 beasts, there's a light blue cow with clouds, a cow masquerading as a tiger, a graffiti cow and many more. These darlings are going to grace us (sorry the pun) with their visit until June 15, lucky us...
Now wouldn't you know it, the whole town is in uproar, one has been stolen, Oh nooooooo, considering that these beauties are huge and bolted to steel platforms, it would take a lot of effort to commit this crime, but my question is, who the heck wants this thing??? Anyhow, this is a fund raiser event and they will be actioned off supposedly for good deeds, however at this time when our citizens are going without, people are living on the streets (yes, even in La Jolla) I think that we should put some more effort into our present problems, and spend our resources in a better way, considering that the city of San Diego is in a deficit of 80 mill, and have deleted teachers, fire fighters and police from their jobs....Beside I think the damn things are really ugly...

Glorieux, Flierty4U, Rosie and Ola 2006, thank you so much for the kind words, you had me all teary eyed, what a great way to start the weekend..thank you for the flower Glorieux.
I was thinking June, how about it girls, to get together, we all live within 30 miles distance....Sorry Rose, you are of course invited, just a little ways for you. Tennis Bud seams somewhat interested, not quite sure he will be around at that time, anybody else that would like to join in the SD crowd???? The more the merrier. Open to any date you have in mind... I am catering for PAWS Pedigree on the third of next month in RSF, you can find name there and give me a call....Have a great weekend...K

My old friend, my confidant, my computer bit the dust. He was seven years old and called Jorge. Jorge and I have spend many hours together, he knew my secrets, he read my mail he watched tv with me and shared my popcorn. Now Jorge sits in a corner and has been gutted, A new love is my life, I have called her Lizzie, however my thousand dollars Lizzie is not letting me read my e-mails, Jorge's guts were transfered into Lizzie, but like a real woman she is very stubborn.....Help!!!!!

THANK YOU NOTES

When I was young sending thank you notes for gifts, dinners that I had been invited to, or any caring attention that had been bestowed on me, was a must. Now I am lucky if I get an e-mail for my loving deeds. It seams that this small action of gratitude has all but disappeared. Writing this blog reminds me with laughter of a "snafu" that I did when I was about 17. I had been invited to a friends house for dinner, so I wrote a thank you note to the mother of my friend telling her how much I enjoyed the delicious dinner and would be honored if she would share her lovely recipes with me. I posted the note in the afternoon so I was sure she would get it the very next day. On our way to the dinner party that evening the car broke down, and we were stranded. She was much amused when she received the note needles to say this has been told many times over with great humor.

Maybe you are the first cousin of my date from last Saturday...I did get a kiss, checked the profile. the guy is married but would like to play!!!Then there is the little darling of 34 years from Ireland he sends me kisses at least once a week. I don't kiss and tell, but since I didn't kiss I can tell. This man has a higher education(I believe like in tennis, always play with someone that is better than you, it elevates your game) and has lived in this country for fifty years, so no excuse that we don't how we behave on this side this of the Pacific Ocean, well maybe things are different by the Indian Ocean, so we meet, to his benefit he was on time (seams to be a hard thing to do for some gentlemen)I had made reservations in a lovely restaurant with views across the Bay to San Diego. As I said he did show up on time, a little hard to recognize since he was waring a dirty baseball cap. Now I don't know about you, but I don't think that is a first date thing to wear for dinner. I leaned in to give a hug, the smell was pretty bad (maybe since I am a caterer and I am always sniffing to make sure the food is fresh that I buy) you know the smell, worn the same shirt 10 times with out laundering it, yes, that smell, when he smiled I could see bad oral HG, had plague on teeth surely not brushed, definitely not that day. Actually the conversation was really animated and we had lots of similar interests. After dinner I took him around the Island to show him the sites. we sat down to have a cup of coffee, that is when I told "mr highly educated" that I do not get close or intimate with anybody until I get to know them better,(if ever) that didn't seam to sink in, still trying to grab me and kiss,(Oh God, he must have octopuses in his family tree) finely I made the excuse I had a meeting in the morning. Getting to my car, "mr highly educated" leaned over and grabs my breast squeeze it and before I could even phantom what had happened he was in his car and driving off. So this man might have been a scholar but surely not a gentleman. PS. I saw today he was on the site chatting somebody else up. So girls, make sure he brushes his teeth before he meets with you.

So I took a look at the most popular woman members (just checking out the competition) a lot of T&A, some good, some really bad (please check the chick in red from the UK page two), starting of the age of 25, I wonder what these "sweet young things" want on a site for Seniors, I can just wonder . I guess brains don't count for much anymore.

Just finnish reading "Stolen Lives" by Malika Oufkir, it's a true story about a young woman born into privilege in Morocco, and spending 20 year in jail after her father was executed for the attempt to assassinate the king, very hunting and very well written. An Oprah book thing.
The second is very enlightening for us woman, this one is by the entertainer Steve Harvey, it's called " Act like a Lady- think like a Man" trust me girls, this guy has all the answer, very well worth the price of the book, Cotsco has for $13.00

A CATERER IN THE FAMILY

We just had soup this evening, actually four soups, we are having a soup tasting evening, you see, my adopted nephew is getting married, and we are sampling part of the menu for the wedding. He is actually my girlfriends son, but I have known him since grade school, and they call me "auntie", so with that comes obligations. My girlfriend first son got married about ten years ago, so "Auntie" sprung in for the bridal shower,then the wedding. Two children,baby showers and then baptism. Last fall was the PHD party, in two weeks the bridal shower and in June the wedding, I love my adopted nephews and their families, but as I came home this evening, I was thinking they got the better deal.
