HORNY SENIORS IN SAN DIEGO

I have been reading with envy about all the bashes the SFF are having around the country, so surely there must be something fun happening here in San Diego too. You bet:
As I viewed San Diego and vicinity groups I found the only active croups (and lots of them) were were the Horny Senior groups, there had been a single Cristian group with one member, he went under the name of Sexy Studd, so I guess we are back to the same old thing. I don't know about you, but somehow this really doesn't appeal to me.
How about it San Diegans, can we start a gourmet, theater or book club??? Something a little more interesting than hanging from the chandeliers.

I have deleted my blog that seamed to cause so much anger.
I was wondering, as that the truth came out, and some of the the members with fake handles were identified, how much is to much. At what point is it alright to get personal without restriction of any sort? Is it OK to go into a blog and involve the bloggers family, intelligence, gender, education, race, sexual preference, age, background, nationality, and the legal right to live in this country? Does the blogger have to back down and apologize for what she/he perceives as what is the truth, how does one defend oneself from the pack mentality and the people who's only pleasure is to be venomous and unhappy. I am lucky enough to be able to stand up and defend myself, but not so for some other members.

Just took a looksy at my new matches, you know, the ones that Cupid sets you up with. In my profile I stated that I was looking for a man between 65-75, I will go out with a guy a year younger, surely that is no robbing the cradle. This is the treasure that was delivered:
seven were between 53-58 with pic eight were between 52-59 no pic six were between 77-79 no pic one was right age no pic And ONE with pic and right age but married (did check that profile)
Needles to say I haven't dared to read their profiles, I think old cupid must be tired and sleeping after all the hard work he did on Valentine

I am a 66 year old heterosexual female, 5'4" size ten and 150 pounds (should loose some weight) I adore my girlfriends, and think men are one of God's little gifts to us women. I speak five languages and have an IQ of 115, not enough for Mensa to come calling, but not stupid either. I have six years of college with a degree. I have four children all with an advanced degrees, my youngest is finishing up at Cornell (soon I hope) I have two sweet little grandchildren two and four. I have walked for AIDS, Breast Cancer and next month for Parkinson's, I donate blood four times a year for Children's Hospital. I also donate funds for the youth symphony and PAWS. I play tennis and ski (can't afford golf) I love the symphony and the opera, last evening I went to the theater. At the age of 57 I decided to make a career change and start a catering a company, putting to good use years of entraining and hosting guests in my home, the employees that I hired at the beginning are still with me, but for one , she went back East to be married. I am a good friend to my friends, I have several gay and lesbian friends, I believe they should be able to marry, why should only the heterosexual go through a hellish marriage. My favorite colors are yellow and green. Never meet cat/dog I didn't like. I stand up for what I believe to be honest and right, I feel and have compassion for my fellow man. Oh yes I almost forgot, The pictures posted are of me (see,me girl) and taken last year in March. So there Shertj (the profile with no picture) that is why I think that other members should bother with me, I am what is called an interesting person, beside that I have a great sense of humor.

A couple evenings ago I was watching the "Oscars" I usually have not seen any of the pictures that are nominated,or pay little attention since I can get them a couple months later from Netflix. I like to watch the fashions and the colors that are in season, and of course to see how the movie stars has weathered. To my surprise I didn't know any but for two, who where the other "sweet young things"? With a shock I realized that my "Stars" were most properly either to old to go to the event or dead, well, I guess I am going in the same direction, were did time go? was it really forty year ago since Marlon Brando, Toni Curtis and Sophia Loren were the "it Stars"? Sophia Loren was there, or was it somebody in drag?

Shrove Tuesday (fat Tuesday) is celebrated every year downtown San Diego, they expect about 30.000 participants, streets are closed to accommodate this very New Orleans carnival, with the economic state of affairs, the restaurants are most probably in for a disappointment.

MY FIRST YEAR AT SFF

It has been an interesting year, made some really nice and helpful friends and it seams quite a few enemies. I joined SFF with the thought that this was a friendly site for middle aged people, maybe it was the name that gave me that idea. Some members have voiced their opinion that I should not bother to write blogs since my English was poor and the contends was uninteresting. I have been called unintelligent, arrogant and uninformed among other things, only four days ago one of the members wrote "you really disappoint me, I gave you credit for more insight" On the other hand I have been so lucky to have formed friendships with quite a few members that are caring, supportive and very informative, I have got great advise and cooking tips, I have cried, and felt compassion, I have laughed at the jokes and loved the stories from other countrys. I have had some great dates, and some not so great. All in all, I am here to stay, at least for a little longer.

ADVENTURE LEFT IN THE "OLD BOYS"

As I was strapping my snickers on today in the parking lot for my daily walk, a truck moved slowly pass me, an elderly man smiled (most properly he was my age )I nodded. Then he said: "I don't want to be forward or rude, but would you have lunch with me, if not today maybe another day?" I told him that was very sweet of him, but I was married (not true)... As I was walking I started thinking, where has my spirit of adventure gone? Who knows what it could have been? A start of something new? A good friend or something more? Now I will never know, what I do know is that the "Old Boys still have it, and if I am not careful life will go me by.

A REALLY GREAT SAVORY CHEESE CAKE

We all have had more than our share of Thanksgiving and Christmas food, so here I thought that I would share a recipe from my catering kitchen (it's on my website too) that you can use all year around, easy to make and transport. This is a savory Cheesecake. Enjoy
SOUTHWEST CHEESECAKE
16OZ CREAM CHEESE (room temperature) 2 CUPS SHREDDED SHARP CHEDDAR CHEESE 2 CUPS SOUR CREAM(divided in half) 1 1/2 PACKAGES(1.25oz each) TACO SEASONING 3 EGGS 4 OZ CHOPPED GREEN CHILES 2/3 CUP SALSA TORTILLA CHIPS OR CRACKERS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Combine cream cheese and cheddar cheese in a large mixing bowl. Beat mixture until fluffy. Stir in 1 cup of sour cream and all the taco seasoning. Beat eggs in one at the time. Fold in the chillies. Pour the mixture into a spring form pan. Bake for 40-45 minutes.
Remove cheesecake from oven and let cool for 10 minutes. Spread the remaining sour cream on the top. Bake for 5 minutes. Remove cheesecake from oven and let cool until it has reached room temperature, then refrigerate for at least six hour or overnight.
Remove from refrigerator and spread salsa over cheesecake. Let the cake sit for 10 minutes.
Serve with tortilla chips or crackers.
