What do you consider "Really Living!!"? Jan 25, 2008 12:21 am
696 Views
I've been working really hard this month. I don't consider working this hard 'really living'.
It's like being in a bubble.

I think traveling is 'really living'. Spending money. Gathering with friends or family. Eating fine food. Biking or walking somewhere pretty. And the big one is loving and being loved back!

What do you think 'really living' is? Are you 'really living' now? Have you in the past? Are you hoping to in the future?

My HOT PANTS memory. Jan 8, 2008 6:25 pm

Maybe 15 years ago I was going to take a hike in our local (so called) 'wilderness'. I had invited several people to join up with me at the trail head.

While getting ready I put my pepper spray in my shorts pocket. I dropped my keys and bent down to pick them up. The pepper spray went off and sprayed my lower abdomin and upper thigh. I dashed into the house and grabbed a wash cloth and applied water to the area. Then I went out to my car.

As I was driving, the affected area was getting hotter, and hotter. I was down right 'on fire!' when I got to the trail head. No one was there to meet me. I thought I would walk a little way, but cut it short because I was in so much pain.

I drove home and tried soap and water. I tried ICE. But it kept on BURNING. I called the police and ask them what I could do to stop it. The operator put me on hold while she ask someone. They were laughing and did not have an answer for me.

The burn lasted for a couple of days.

Sometimes the most terrible incidents are so funny when you look back on them.

The moral of the story: Always put your safty lock on the pepper spray before you put it in your pocket!

I committed a crime today. Jan 8, 2008 7:58 am

I made buttermilk pancakes with WHITE flour (Kaching!!). I FRIED (Kaching!!) an EGG (Kaching!!) in a little BUTTER (Kaching!!) and ate it with TWO (Kaching!!!) pancakes instead of one. With a little SYRUP (Kaching!!) that was not low calorie (KACHING, KACHING! KACHING!!!)

I get SOOO tired of restrictions. I always have a multi-grain cereal with low fat milk. But today I committed a crime, and tried not to listen to the chastising voice in my head.

Why to manufactures make it so hard for us to open their products? Jan 4, 2008 7:58 am

Why are we forced to use scissors, knives, or teeth, and fingernails (sometimes all four) to open a new bottle or box of something?

I understand they want to protect us from poisoned pills, etc., First you have to chew your way through the outside plastic strip around the bottle. Then you have to claw your way through that glued down cover after removing the cap. Then you have to pull out the cotton.

I shop at Costco. They have encased most things in plastic. You have to get the scissors to cut the gizmo out of the HARD plastic 'prison'.

If you buy their toilet paper, they have individually wrapped rolls put inside another plastic wrap that you have to cut through.

I called Costco and complained. In this world of
going 'green', why does toilet paper have to be double wrapped???

After watchint the documentary "Iraq for Sale" I had the following dream: Dec 30, 2007 3:52 am

I dreamt that I was in Ontario, Calif. There was a bad earthquake. I was with my 15-year-old grandaughter. She started running and I ran after her and found her. We were 10 miles away from her home.

There were police with guns. They made us get on a bus. There were mostly spanish speaking people on the bus. We were being driven away, and I ask why. I was told we were being quarentined.

Why? The earth shook, thats all. We didn't drink any bad water. I said, "Please let me take my grandaughter home". They would not.

I awoke with the message, that we are all the same to 'our' government. Whether legal, or illegal, we can be gathered up and forced to go somewhere. Look at Katrina. America is in trouble. (Continued in my next post.)

Why being an American citizen means nothing in this country. Dec 30, 2007 3:44 am

Every red-blooded American should rent the documentary "Iraq for Sale". Then substitute the word "America" for Iraq.

There is definitely a THEM and a us. THEY are the 'government' that runs this country. Our government is supposed to be of the people and by the people. But it is not. Our government is run by the corporations and politicians.

Why would Pres. bush say: "I will not let the people influence me'! ??

Why would our government let a bunch of illegal immigrants enter this country, demand goods and services, and do nothing?

Why will they not verify that a voter is a citizen?

Because, there is no difference to THEM between a citizen and an illegal alien. We have lost our collective power as citizens of the U.S.

Our citizenship means something to a foreign government, when we travel. But it means nothing to our government, because THEY have separated from us.

We have a puppet congress, and a puppet president. God help the USA. We all need to take time out of our busy schedules, and learn the truth about the grab for power that has taken place.

Watch the documentary. There needs to be impeachment and arrests made at Halliburton, etc., I want my money back from those thieves.

Was Christmas more fun? Work? Depressing? for you Dec 26, 2007 9:51 am

I worked hard for 2 days cooking. Homemade Gateau de Crepes a la Florientine, Cream puffs, buttermilk bread, ham, etc., I was exausted at the end of the day. But when my kids walked in the door, it all changed into joy.

My sisters ordered their dinners prepared from Albertson's. Next year I'm going to leave off the Gateau. I'm going do cut it back. I'm feeling my age.

How about you? What was your Christmas like?
Lots of work, decorating, cooking, cleaning, buying, wrapping?
Fun, fun, fun. I didn't work real hard.
Depressing.

Congressmen and Senators have assumed the role of Royalty in America. Dec 22, 2007 11:40 pm

I wrote an earlier blog today about congressmen and senators writing their own retirement benefit plan that will pay their salaries until they die. Nothing like what we all receive.

Then I started thinking. These people are our servants. They should not be getting better medical or retirement benefits than WE receive. They have voted themselves a kings ransome. They appear to be royalty. Its all paid for by you and me. We don't want kings and queens here in America. Time to take away their special medical and retirement benefits and put them in line with the rest of us!!!

All together now: Push for a bill to place all politicians on Social Security. Dec 22, 2007 9:08 am

Currently senators and congressmen do not pay into social security, and they do not collect from it.

You see Social Security benefits were not suitable for persons of their rare elevation in society. They have a Special plan for themselves that they voted in.

When they retire, they continue to draw the same pay until they die. For example, Senator Byrd and Congressman White and their wives may expect to draw $7,800,000 (Seven Million Eight hundred thousand) during the last years of their lives.

Younger digintaries who retire early, will receive much more. Their cost for this excellent plan is $0.00. Nada! Zilch!

Lets JERK the Golden Fleece Retirement Plan from under the Senators and Congressmen. Put them into the social security plan with the rest of us. Then sit back..and see how fast they would fix it.

If enough people read this and will not vote for any politician if he does not sponsor and support legislation that will make this change, we will have PEOPLE POWER.

Pass this on and lets show the 'leaders' in Washington that we are Mad as Hell, and we won't take it anymore!

Thanks for reading and pass it on, and take action.
