we are having a uk get together on the 18th june, at hickorys smokehouse, that used to be called the groves in chester, it is located by the river post code is CH1 1SD, we meeting around 2pm, everyone is welcome, the more the merrier  , i believe some people may stay overnight at a local hotel, but dont know the details on that yet, but will update when i know, and just a thought maybe we could wear name badges so we know who is who, hope to see you there x

if anyone is interested we are having a meet for when spottheaussie is over in the uk in york, on the 15th oct, unsure where we meeting at just yet , but will post nearer the time

was sent this today thought i would like to share with you as im sure there are many g/parents on here, made me smile
what is a grandparent
(taken from papers written by a class of 8 year olds)
grandparents Are a lady and a man who have no of her own they like other peoples
a randfather is a man and a grandmother is a lady
grandparents dont have to do anything except be there, when we come to see them, they are so old they shoudnt play hard or run, it is good if they drive us to the shops and give us money
they dont say hurry up
they wear glasses and funny underwear
they take their teeth out and gums out
grandparents dont have to be smart
when they read to us they dont skip, they dont mind if we ask for the same story over again
a 6 year old was asked where his grandma lived, oh he said she lives at the airport and when we want her, we just go and get her, then when we are done having her visit, we take her back to the airport

well after such a good get together last week we all agreed on another one before xmas a tinsel and turkey w/end maybe, but the trouble is where to have it, i think the fairest way is to go with the favourite place, so please feel free to say where you would like it to be, i have an idea myself which is the grand hotel in wales, which has some great entertainment and is value for money i have been many times , but the have them also in blackpool scarborough,brighton and folkstone,sorry should of said before this is in the uk, lol but everyone welcome the more the merrier, it was great at our last meet we met spottheaussie, spot if you reading this was lovely to meet you and of course not forgetting lothringa it was great meeting you at long last huggs to you both

meetup in chester

we are having a meet up in chester in the uk, for anyone that would like to come along, its a great way of meeting people in person, it is on the 27th of september and we are meeting by the riverside, there is a large pub there where we can have a meal or a drink and maybe even a boat ride if its a nice day, it used to be called orleans but the name has changed now, bit its the only one there, as far as i know, when i get to know the name i will post it on here, look forward to seeing you all, know set time has been arranged as yet, and for those of you know who spottheaussie is she will be there,cant wait to meet you spot, so will arrange a time nearer the date
