| One year Anniversary |
Jul 14, 2008 2:39 pm 312 Views | | As most people here know, i am fast coming up on the first anniversary of my wife's passing. I have already made plans, to spend July 24th-26th with my beloved step-daughters. I couldnt have better kids if they were my own. I know that if I werent with them, I wouold probably spend that time, just curled up in the fetal postion. As it already is, I cant stand, to think, that she has been out of my life, for almost a year. As most people will say, what my wife and I had was very rare. I miss her more than ever, every day. Sometimes, i dont know how I able to wake up without her day after day. She brought true meaning to the word Love...when she came into my life. I just want this annivesary to go by quickly, as I dont know if I can take it.

May 5, 2008 1:01 am 1623 Views | | For those of you, who have read my last blog, you know that things have been kind of rocky for me lately. So I decided to give my self a bosster shot, to help lift my spirits. I just wanted to see, which ladies here on SFF, would consider going out on a date with me, if we were to meet. Also what would be that factor, that would consider saying yes.

| Another milestone |
Apr 23, 2008 11:21 pm 1586 Views | | Well, its after midnight here, so it is now officially April 24th 0f 2008. That means, that it has been 9 months today, that my beloved wife Danita has left this world behind, for a place where there is no more pain and suffering.Since she has been gone, I feel like I am adjusting pretty well I guess. I feel like I should be a big mess still, but I am not. I guess its because, I know the kind of woman my wife was, and I know, that she would not want me to be miserable. As the saying goes, Life Goes On. It sounds so hard and cruel. Not long after my wife died, I decide, that I am going to find a way, to raise money for The Crohn's and Colitis Foundation, as it was Crohn's disease, which had afflicted it self upon my lovely wife. if anyone has any suggestions please let me know.

| Humor in Uniform. |
Apr 13, 2008 4:24 am 1130 Views | My wife, always enjoyed reading Reader's Digest. Of course, our favorite section was "Humor In Uniform". These came from the most recent issue.
"I was stationed on a ship in the mediterranean, and the 18-20 hour workdays passed very slowly. My wife,a psychologist, decided to send me a relaxation tape to ease the stress of sea duty. Its title: Sounds of the Sea.
When I wear my Air Force uniform, strangers come up to me to thank me for my service to my country. Once I was in the parking lot of a county jail, waiting to take custody of a military inmate. A prisoner walked by, carrying a bag of garbage to the Dumpster, escorted by a Corrections oficer. As he passed me, the inmate turned and_quite sencerely-said "Thanks for my freedom!" before being taken back inside.
A Navy man gave his son the 'birds and the bees' talk before leaving for his first deployment, but he later realized the boy hadnt fully understood. Three months into his tour of duty, the Lieutentnant recieved a letter that asked, 'Will you come home if Mommy gets pregnant?'
Last but not least:
The new ensign was trying to impress everybody with what he'd learned in Submarine School when the MAster Chief cut him off. 'Listen Sir, its simple', he said. 'Add the number of times we dive to the number of times we surface. If it doesnt come out even, dont open then hatch.'
I hoope these will get you a chucle, and help you to start you day on a good note. Semper Fi and Ohrah!!!

Oh I wish I was in Dixie, away, away, in Dixieland I'll take my stand, to live and die in Dixie, for in DIxieland, thats where i was born, early on one frosty morn, look away, look away, look away Dixieland,
Glory Glory Hallelujah, glory glory Hallelujah, glory glory Hallelujah, His truth is marching on........
So hush little baby don't you cry, you know your daddy's... bound to die, for all my trials Lord, will soon be over......

| Remarkable marine |
Apr 10, 2008 6:36 am 1430 Views | | Sometimes when we think about the "hardships" in our lives, we need to think about this marine. A Marine Gunnery Sargaent was serving a tour of duty in Iraq, when he took a sniper bullet to his knee. It was completely shattered. He had a full leg amputation. After going through rehab, with a new computerized leg, he was able to convince the marines, that he could still do his duty, and is back in Iraq. To me, he is an inspiration, not just as a marine, but also as a man. We should all look to him as an example. Semper Fidelis!!!!! OHRAH!!!!
