Working as an entertainer ....

Working as an stage dancer/entertainer is harder then most people know. A person with multiple skills, talents and most of all " a can do will do anything" at tit ude, may find work. Dancing, acting and physical training is a must. Performer make work all their lives for just one show or performance. Vegas has so many long running shows, that each roll or position is played by several different people most of the time. Hotel owners and show directors want their shows to be larger then life. So the entertainers must come on stage and wow the crowd presents.
I started out as a model at the age of 14 not making any money at it. I did kids cloth ads for the local stores. My mother put me in dance and modeling classes which I enjoyed. Mom did want me to like what I was doing, unlike many girls and boys that were forced to go. I didn't go very many modeling compe tit ions. If I wanted to go Mom took me. At the age of 16 I had my first agent Tommy Reed, who is still my close friend. I didn't get alot of work and beside at 16 I decided boys were cute overnight ( I was a late bloomer with boys.) Mom let me decide if I would model more or not, which Tommy got upset over. At 18 I was getting alot of work, I guess my look is what they wanted. ( I say alot of work, but the pay was like a 75 dollars for 4 hours of photo shooting.) Then I got a call to model/ dance in Robert Palmers music video. After us girls saw the tape of us dancing and pretending to play those instrument, we thought the pubic wouldn't buy it at all. Well they did and we had a good gig for a couple of years. The down side was, we partied, drank and did drug s to often. We liked the lifestyle and the money was pretty good. I worked with the band off and on for 4 years and toured for 6 months. Mom knew I was getting into problem, so she help me and we moved to Las Vegas. We both got work in less than 2 months I was just 21. I got a bartending job, and they loved me. Mom worked for a hotel salon doing make-up. I went to casting calls that I read in the newpaper. It seem like in no time I started working in the hotel shows. My first show was Diva's of Playboy, I wasn't in the show, I was the seating bunny that wore the Playboy getup. As time went on I got my name out and got better work. The last big shows I did were Zumanity at New York – New York.,Jubilee Bally’s, O Cirque du Soleil at Bellagio, X Burlesque at the Flamingo, Crazy Girl at the Riviera, Folies Bergere , (I loved this one), Spamalot at the Wynn, Devil’s Diva’s
