RESPONDING TO BLOGS HERE IN SFF.

I have always tried to respond to most of the blogs here in SFF since i arrived. I prefer to respond to some than others. Im not sure why I go into other peoples blogs that I hardly know at all and try to add something positive or helpful. Over the years I have noticed that a huge number of participants here never come in to my blogs or make any comments. It doesnt bother me, but as I have always made the effort to respond to most, I no longer am going to make the effort. I never hear from them dont really know them from adam, and wonder why I feel its good manners to reply. Something to do with my upbringing I suppose. Its not really good manners at all, except to me. It usually makes no difference to the person I respond to as they dont ever ever get in touch with me in any way. What a relief this is to me. Now I just have a few people to comment on so my life will be easier, and my time here less frequent. I now feel I have other things to occupy my day. Sometimes this site can be very depressing, hurtful if you allow it to be, and thoroughly stupid, especially the blogs page. I have never been a people pleaser but I do like to be a person with an open mind. There are many here I have come to like in cyperworld. Sometimes I think Im good friends with an individual, and for some unknown reason they cease to get in touch with me and dont talk to me at all again, ever. Their loss I tell myself, but Im not very forgiving and dont go back there ever again. It takes time to find your way around SFF. I has taken me around a yr and a half, A lot of members meet up in SFF bashes etc. I rarely get to meet people from this site. I did write to some Irish but they never replied. Ignorance is biss!!!!! I have been to the school of hard knocks before coming here, and now I am in the Finishing School which also can produce some hard knocks. As we get older we get wiser. Cheers folks.

My sister has cancer.

My sister was diagnosed with colon cancer and today and tomorrow she is going into hospital for blood tests, then home again until tomorrow when she is going for chemotherapy from 8.30 am until 5.30 pm. Its a long day and I believe the treatment is quite hard to take. She doesnt realize this but she will eventually. A few weeks ago I was advised by members here who suggested sincerely and were concerned that I go in to a colonoscopy which I should have had last May. Len told me he wasnt going to laugh with me this time, (I always laugh through my troubles) so I made an appointment for 2nd November and I hate hate hate hate it from the bottom of my heart. Not the procedure, but the results. With my history of inheriting my parents various problems, I realize this wasnt one of them so I might escape. My sister is the first one in our family to be diagnosed with cancer. She will have to have 12 treatments, one everty fortnight for 6 months. What a horrible thought. I am keeping myself occupied today with blogs, reading blogs, doing my mail and minding my two grandkids who are a bit on the tired side. We are praying that things will be positive. She had a stroke 8 or 9 yrs ago. We are extremely close. My other sister, my older sister, seems to have the onset of Alzheimers, plus Parkinsons. What a life, eh!!!

Hi girls, Well, I told you I would let you know of any handsome beaus that might appear on my front page for all to see, hahahaha, I have just found a gorgeous big body, dressed in ...........white lace sort of thong thing, Im never sure about mens underwear past the ordinary shorts or jocks, I even recognise a speedo, but this is made of white lace, hahahaha, and the other pic he looks as if he is in a lady's pink briefs. You can see the cheeks of his azzzzzzzzzzzzz, Im going out for air now with the dogs, Im getting a slight temp. probably from a virus, or menopausal flushes!!!! I think he is 62, name Rushd62 or something like that. He may cross your paths, lovely bod tho'. Dont ever think I will let you down where these great matches are concerned. Maybe Rosie might see him and advertise him in a blog. He sure is looking for attention of some sort. Not the quiet ladylike types, maybe the bolder ladies who are out for a bit of you know what. UNREAL WEATHER IN IRELAND.

I feel grateful for each day I can get up and see the changing seasons. Spring/ Summer, were always my favourite times, but now I have come to realize that the beauty of Autumn is special. We have so much to look forward to, the beautiful colours of the changing leaves, green to rust, yellow and then no leaves at all. We are expecting gales and wet weather in Ireland next week but up to now, and for the past few months, we have had no rain at all. Imagine watering the plants in Autumn. I have just been out for a walk with my daughter and the 3 dogs. Well, the dogs had a ball, they met all their "pals" of different shapes and sizes, they all greeted each other, and I met a neighbour who stood chatting for awhile. I had a chance to share some things with my daughter and she with me. We spotted a little long tailed tit having a bath in the stream, we stood watching this procedure for awhile but unfortunately hadnt got the camera. The trees are beautiful, the ground is beginning to be covered with leaves, and we have Halloween and Christmas around the corner. As the recession has effected Ireland as a whole, except for the wealthy politicians!!!! the mad rat race will not take place this year, and for that I am grateful. My Christmas shopping will be done in the Two Euro Shop, where everything costs around Two Euro or a little more, but no exorbitant prices. Our local town has been badly effected by the recession and we have been told we wont be having any Christmas lights this year. All these things are really unimportant. To be grateful for where Im at, the simple things in life are the most important, and gratitude for my life as it is now, is a nice place to be today.

CHEEKY CHICK

 I had to share this with you folks. It was in yesterdays newspaper. The lady in the pic is Irish, and she virtually raised this chick as her own child - after it fell fowl of its henpecking mum!!! The woman in the pic, Sheila, has trained this little six week old chick to perch and tweet on the dashboard of her van as she drives along. The cheeky chick is also fond of climbing up on Sheila's shoe and if she gets tired, nesting in her hair. The chick was slow to hatch and was rejected by her mother. Cheeky Chick has bonded with Sheila and likes to drink tea in the morning before breakfast of garden worms!!! She's has become a bit of a celebrity where she lives. The picture isnt very good but you can just about see Cheeky and she certainly looks very happy and comfy.

MY FIRST TRIP TO MEET LEN, BY TRAIN;

I was reminded of this over the week-end. I was so excited about going to meet Len for the very first time, that I had everything ready for a week before I went. Now that I have my Free Travel Pass, I can travel the length and breath of Ireland and that day was the first day I had used it. I queued for the train, was half way down the queue, and when I reached the TicketMan he told me I would need a bloody ticket, so I had to sprint!!! yes, sprint back down to the end of the queue and around the corner, into the ticket office, WHERE THERE WAS ANOTHER QUEUE, and as I had only a few minutes and knew the train left on time, I was sorry I had treated myself to a lovely big fry-up in the Restaurant in the station. However,enough about that, I sprinted back, thought my heart was going to burst open, but did manage to get on the train and threw myself into a seat opposite an elderly couple who looked as if they would start talking. I like to travel "alone" with my thoughts and I had a lot to think about that day, ie my handsome man who said he would be standing at the end of the steps to the bridge over the railway. I avoided the eyes of the couple opposite and glued them instead on the fields flying by. There was nothing else to look at!!!! In the end the woman took out a big packet of sandwiches, and a flask of tea, and I couldnt take my eyes off her and what she was doing. She started to talk to me then, my solitary trip was over and we werent even half way there. She offered me some sandwiches, and insisted I take them. Then I got some tea and cakes. God, I was stuffed to the gills with food. Having packed away all her stuff, she then proceeded to have a good chin wag (Irish for a conversation/gossip) and I had the misfortune of telling her my husband had died 6 yrs ago. I vaguely remember she had lost her husband. The man beside her was only laughing and smiling and seemed to be used to the idea that he wasnt really going to get a chance to talk. I addressed him a few times and found out he could speak!!!! In the end she seemed to get it out of me, by devious means Im sure!!! that I was going to meet my new friend, who might or might not be a romantic liason sort of friend and she sat back satisfied that she had found out. Suddenly she sat up straight with a right glint in her eye and said "Well, now, I have to tell you, that this man is not really my husband but we just pretend he is as we have been living together for years but we never got married".I said "so you are living in sin" !!! After that we had a good laugh, and the journey was certainly much shorter. She gave me her phone number and said if we ever travelled again, not to bother bringing any snacks as she would have enough for us all. Thats Ireland of the welcomes, you can take it positively or negatively, depending on whether you want to talk or not. However, I must warn you, you will probably end up TALKING, and the person you are talking to will find out your entire life history.

Yes, Im lonely for my love who has just gone back to Co.Kerry after having a few lovely days together. Every time he comes to stay the sun comes out and shines on us for the few days we have together. We are developing such a strong bond, and its harder to say goodbye. As the evenings are shorter now we dont have the long summer days, but we did manage to sit in the sun and had some nice meals out, visited my sister and her husband, and spent some time on Bray seafront. If I didnt come to SFF I dont know what I would be doing with myself. I would encourage anyone who is still her and on the look out for a nice partner, dont give up. There are always new people joining SFF and there are some really nice people here. I never thought I could be this happy and content and now Im looking forward to my next visit. Happy hunting guys and girls.

This Autumn in the Glen of the Downs in Co.Wicklow. It covers a huge area, completely closed off from the road with a beautiful stream running through it. You can climb for miles, I havent climed to the top for a long time, nature trails and dog walks. Its in the scenic area of the Glen of the Downs, all that valley is surrounded by trees. My daughter had her wedding in the local hotel called the Glenview.
