We are all human beings here in SFF and we all have our own opinions. Sometimes we voice them, sometimes we dont. I try to be truthful and as I admit i am not the brightest star in the sky, I sometimes feel its safer not to show up my sometimes immature but heartfelt and truthful opinions. There are many very different people here, some extremely funny, some a bit dramatic, some are highly intelligent or highly intellectual, some are just plain simple people who are not afraid to voice their opinion. Others are very poetic, good story tellers, some talk about their day or their troubles. This is what makes up SFF. I enjoy taking part.I know I annoy some people with my endless blogs, my domestic blogs, walking the doggies or playing with the grandies, posting pictures or being slightly "naive" I dont pretend I understand half of what people write here, sometimes I understand perfectly but If I see the responses are all going the one way and I would be the odd one out I keep my counsel to myself. However, I have learned, I join in and enjoy the jokes, if someone is highly intelligent and Im not quite sure where they are going, I say nothing. I try to avoid USA topics, religion or war. So you see folks, its quite easy to fit into SFF and go along with everything, stay out of trouble, say it if you enjoy a blog, like a pic, or have something add yourself. This is how I see a civilised society behaving. I have learned not to put all my feelings on paper, if others come into my blog and try to insult me, please learn from me now, that you dont do so any more. I think my Finishing School is one of the best on the market and doesnt cost enormous fees. Cheers all. Im off to bed.

Co.Clare, The place of my birth. its where my hear is still. I remember my happiest memories down there. I have called my present home after the house where I was born. (Tinerana) There is a lovely romantic song which some of you may know about Clare. Its called My Lovely Rose of Clare. Years ago when I was around 24/26 yrs old the man I thought was so handsome and romantic used to sing this song to me. I wont bore you with any more than the first verse!!
Oh my lovely rose of Clare, You're the sweetest girl I know, You're the queen of all the roses and the prettiest flower that grows, You are the sunshine of my life, so beautiful and fair, And I will always love you my lovely Rose of Clare.
I marriede him. I believed he loved me. Unfortunately he loved many others too. I amconvincedI in fact he really hated women. I had the marriage annulled and divorced. I dont think I could remember him as being anything that would fit into the normal men I know today . He was a type of psychopath/sociopath/sex addict/etc. I still cant figure him out nor do I want to. The song he sang to me was a load of shit. However, he didnt ruin my life or the life of my children. Today the song means just as much to me as it always did, because I have now taken it back as my own, as I come from Clare, and the song enhances the beauty of Clare. Hopefully I will return for a nice visit to Clare this year with Len.

GLENCREE RECONCILIATION CENTRE, CO.WICKLOW.

Glencree Reconciliation Centre in Co. Wicklow is one of the most beautiful places in the world. There is quite a long history to the Reconciliation Centre. During second World War, although Ireland was and still is a neutral country we did not entirely escape the direct effects of the war. There were isolated bombs dropped in isolated locations, the sinking of Irish ships,threats of invasion, and many European belligerence spilled over into the country mainly from Germany's air force.Some of the Germans killed in action over Ireland resulted from such causes as lost aircraft, getting lost in fourl weather or crashing as a result of damage over England.Also running out of fuel. These luftwaffe (Air Force) are all buried in glencree, co.wicklow.Some bodies were found washed up sometimes in remote local locations.The most unfortunate victims were 46 German civilian detainees who were being shipped from England to Canada for Internment and their ship "The Andora Star" was torpedoed by a German U Boat off Tory Island.These were buried in the military cemetery in glencree. In all, 134 people are buried in our German Military Cemetery in Glencree. I spent a long time going around the cemetery yesterdy. I found it both interesting and sad. Some people still visit as there were cards written "To Daddy" that were quite recent. The stream running along by the Cemetery would be a most peaceful sound for anyone. There are small little stones in the ground where the Germans are buried some have names, others dont, and one or two headstones, Many people visit here, it is very well kept, and holds great interest for the people coming to Glencree Reconciliation Centre. This Centre is run ro develop love and reconciliation among people who have almost been destroyed by hatred and bigotry. A lot of people come from Northern Ireland,but from all over the world. They can stay for several weeks until theyn are healed. German children were also housed here during the war having been brought over by the Irish Red Cross. some were adopted in ireland and some went back home when it was safe to do so. It was also a reformatory school, as well as a place of refuge. I enjoyed my day there with Len, we had coffee, tea and cheese cake and I ended up the day by frightening the life out of him !!!!! as Glencree goes up and up and never seems to come down. Roundwood, the highest village in Ireland, was the start of our downward trail.Len is seeing Ireland and has a good guide, as my Father was my guide and made sure we saw most parts of our own Country when we were young. We still have many places to visit.

This morning I went for the usual walk with my 3 doogs, down the valley which is pretty quiet and lonely. I kicked a football along for Jess and just as we were arriving home I met this nice couple with a little boy in the buggy. They were very friendly and started talking about the dog playing football. The man started to walk along with the child in the buggy and the lady stayed talking to me. The next thing I found her opening her briefcase and she said "I have some literature here if you would care to read it"? Well folks, out comes none other than the WATCHTOWER in all its glory. It couldnt happen to anyone else than me. She handed it to me and asked me if I would like to read it. I said the same thing as I had remarked to the two handsome men at the door, that I was too old now to change my religion etc etc. She kept smiling at me, and said "Well, maybe you would like to have a look through it" so I said yes,I'll take it and have a look. She said its always good to have an open mind and i agreed. I went on my way laughing away to myself and with the Watchtower in my hand, and i thought, if Im not caught one way Im caught another. (See my Blog on the Jehovah Witnesses)!!!!!

CHIT NOT ALLOWED IN KILLARNEY.

I've heard it all now, with hygiene gone to the dogs. Years ago when I was 17 or 18, a crowd of my Mothers relatives from the US came over to stay with us for a month. They also brought a friend of theirs that we werent expecting. However, my Mother always found room for everyone. We had a 3 bedroom house, there were 5 of us, and 3 of our visitors stayed in our house. The kitchen, where my Mother reigned supreme, was always full. My Mother hated people talking to her when she was preparing meals. In those days there was no such thing as going out to a grand lunch, or dinner, no shortcuts, my Mother got everything ready and we all washed up. Anyway, we showed them around Ireland, stayed in the Leap Inn in Cork, a great laugh for us as being only teenagers with our much older cousin staying in our room, some "admirer" came around to our window and started knocking on the window to be allowed in!!!! My American cousin shouted "Get the hell away from here" !!! At that time anything would set me off giggling and thats the way we were. We took them to Killarney and went around in the Jarvey's horse and traps, at that time we were in a side car, 3 people each side hanging on for dear life. If the horse did his "business" along the way, which he would as if he needed to go he needed to go, the horse, I mean, we would take a fit of the giggles again. I'll never forget the happiness of that holiday. Now I see that the Jarveys are not allowed into Killarney Park with their horses and traps unless they put a "nappy type device" on the horse, which they refuse to do as they say it would damage the horse!! Well, I believe in a certain amount of hygiene, I have to say I never minded the smell of horse chit and the steam rising off it as we sailed along hanging on for dear life as we did some of the Ring of Kerry. The Jarveys are on strike now and I dont blame them. Imagine putting a nappy on a horse!!!! Oh God, I have to laugh at the spectacle. Couldnt they stop along the way and get a spade or shovel and clean it up and throw it into the nearest field. Im sorry to be talking about all this sh.t but I find it so amusing and I feel you would have to experience the scene in Killarney to really understand why Im laughing. These jarveys have been there for "donkeys" years and the idea of them buying nappy type devices for their horses is beyond belief. When I was down there with Len I did wonder why they were all sitting together, horses parked in the square, and no customers. This is carrying hygiene too far. I know people will say there shouldnt be dung on the road, horse dung, cow dung, dog dung, its no wonder the whole world is suffering from incurable diseases, our immune systems are gone we as have become so hygienic.

ORANGEMANS DAY IN THE NORTH OF IRELAND.

Today is the 13th July. Usually the 12th July is the day of the marching Orangemen through the length and breadth of Northern Ireland but as yesterday was Sunday they waited until today. They used to start it off, until last year, by building a large bonfire and before they set off the fire, someone would go up to the top and place the Irish tricolour flag on top and burn it. I honestly did feel upset over this, the burning of my Irish flag in my own country, but these people didnt consider themselves Irish. yet, last night I heard one orangeman state on TV Im just like them in the Free State, Im Irish, but Im also British. How can a person be Irish and British at the same time? watching my flag burning away and the drunken cheering louts going wild used to annoy me, but it seems to have eased off at last. With a bit of sense and the Peace Process in place, the marching started today and so far has gone off peacefully. They are still celebrating the Battle of the Boyne and King William, who is now a bag of bones. Im holding my breath because tonight the march will go through a "no go" area and as there will be lots of alcohol consumed and the perpetrators of all this trouble are all young hooligans who are only out for a bit of excitement, to improve the monotony of their lives there could be trouble. It has nothing to do with patriotism or a United Ireland, (which most of us in the South dont want, as we can barely support ourselves). This marching will go on for the month of July, the Catholics come down to the South to avoid the trouble but as it seems to be calming down at last, I hope they will feel safe enough to stay at home this year.

JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES;

Recently we have had a spate of Jehovah's Witnesses coming to our door, and sometimes I open the door and sometimes I dont. Recently I went out to these two lovely well dressed young men. I said "Good Evening" in a very polite tone, and they said Good Evening back. I said "What is it you want"? and they said we want to talk to you about Jesus Christ. I said I know about him, that at my stage in life I know as much as I want to know, and thats enough for me. I like to live a simple life, and keep my day as simple as possible, and I dont need to complicate it studing anything else about Jesus.The leader of the two said "Well, can you just spare a few minutes" I said I have many minutes to spare, but I am now 68 years old, I have lived with my own Jesus Christ for that many years, and I dont really want to know what your opinion is. I havent a closed mind about religions. I was raised a Catholic and Im quite happy to be a Catholic. Still they persisted and didnt seem to be able to just accept what I said and leave me in peace at the end of my busy and stressful day. After a few more minutes of trying to convert me, or even to get me to listen, I said "Did you hear anything at all that I said"?? One of them said yes, he did. Well, I said why cant you just accept it and go on your way and leave me alone. They said thank you very much and I said Thank You, and off they went on their merry way. I wonder why Jehovahs Witnesses feel they have to go from door to door to spread their beliefs. They are usually quite young men and seem to be inspired. Other religions dont call to my door, Catholics dont go around from door to door to spread their beliefs. Now, I know some people might say, "Well, they did go to the African countries and spread their religion there" which is quite true, but they also provided housing and education and a decent way of life. Now the African Priests are coming back to convert us.I have enough trouble trying to understand what has been preached for years without listening to two young men, who truly seem to believe what they are saying, have all the answers, but dont seem to be able to understand "No"

BUMS AND BOOBS!!!!!!!

I came here for friendship and lo and behold, every time I open my profile page, or somebody elses, down along the right hand side of the page I find these pictures/videos of young nubile ladies showing off their bums under short skirts, (they may be wearing a thong but theres no sign of it) or else a display of beautiful boobs the likes of which I havent seen for a long time now, as my own are, MY OWN!!!!!! I dont really want these young ladies with their boobs and bums on my page, so how can i get rid of them. Why are they there in the first place. Im not looking for a woman partner, in fact Im not looking for anyone, and Im not a lesbian. Any of you men who might wish to have them on their page, write to SFF and ask for them to be removed from my page and placed in yours, if they are not already there. They have no names, no clothes (at least not many) and wouldnt really turn me on at all. Im tired looking at big bums and big boobs every morning when I log in and wish they would find somewhere else to park themselves.
