Dancing In The Street

You're known to care for others far and wide and some respond with validating verve and God knows well it's good, you're gratified, if not for this the reason that you serve.
You've come to grips with giving, that's the key, the push for peace that orchestrates the move, the choice that's yours to live that liberty with never once a single thing to prove.
You're quite at ease with going deep within (whereat the prompt that always spells the start), let some exclaim that there you go again the way it works it's always from your heart.
A precious soul perceived in all you meet explained in this your dancing in the street.

Off To See The Wizard

When it's birthday time we will turn to rhyme For a message filled with cheer And we'll keep it light for the bloody bite That amounts to yet a year With a tick and tock moves ahead that clock With the chimes it will engage While we're apt to yell it's a hound from hell That would turn so quick the page But the poet knows how the story goes Worked his flesh upon that floor And his mind is sharp as he hears that harp On his mile of metaphor So with practised pen he now writes again Of the Wizard straight from Oz And he keeps it light for the bloody bite Of those universal laws -Richard for anyone with a birthday

The Lack Of Love

When it's love that lacks it's to fall through cracks Of a kind that's hard to bear For the hurts return every time you yearn For that thing that's just not there And it's pointless too when it's said to you It's a phase and nothing more And it's made a game that you cannot name As you'd hardly know the score You've the wherewithal to address it all If it's awkward now and then But the truth be told it's a hard old hold And it's bruising you again -Richard

Hence The Hope

On that glorious morn when a child is born There's a circle forming round With a promise heard every single word For our stand on hallowed ground
But the years amass and the visions pass As to think they never were While that child is lost on a river tossed And it's waters that we stir
But the scene repeats as the morning greets Yet a child that brings a tear And while brief the bliss it is hard to miss It's the reason that we're here
In the loving lease there's a spark of peace With potential for a blaze For it's hallowed ground where that child is found Hence the hope for better days

The Waves Of Change

Tradition traps a person from the start – as much as said corruption rules the day –: the way it's done while seeming from the heart it's nothing more than yesterday at play. Accepting change demands revisions made with waves awash upon the shore of thought: dramatic drafts propose our dues be paid, absurd the rule insisting that they're not. Where shadows lurk collisions will occur, therefore it holds that sunshine must be queued: replaced the past with all the wants that were till grasped at last our change of attitude. The open mind in time's the saving grace, the lease on love not loathe to show its face. -Richard

The Gordian Knot Intact

The stage long set the play is now the thing the players primed to give it all they’ve got each part rehearsed emotions now in swing conveyed to each what language will allot.
Inside the “hall” a stranger’s found his way an entrance made that sees him good and late but quick and sure he’d take apart this play dissecting lines he’d choose to punctuate.
The fact he’s missed some scenes an act as well deters him not pronouncements that are made convincing calls that make things show and tell with verdicts in on every role that’s played.
Dimensions deep the Gordian knot intact the cast now reels to take in such an act.

Let us send regards with our fancy cards And those roses all a-bloom There's a point we miss if it comes to this And we're nowhere in that room. It's the human touch that is needed much And the voice that sooths no end With our love displayed in the visit made And that numbers us a friend. Let our teardrops flow if it needs be so Not to fear the shame of it. It's to sense the feel of a rush that's real And to know the name of it. When the reaper's come and the frames are numb That's the time to come on side: In our actions shown that they're not alone And that love has far from died -Richard

The Sun Setting The Scene

When the day is done there's the setting sun With its colours and its hues And it calls our names with those fiery flames While we're kicking off our shoes.
There's a message read in that scene o'erhead And the writing's good and clear That to rise and shine we're to draw the line When the nighttime makes it here.
Whence the scape so grand we're to understand There's a reason for our rest And to drive that home we've the dark a dome Closed that window to the west.

One Loving Word

One loving word erases years of pain replaced the grief with feelings good and warm a gift that’s there forever we’ll retain the same to share and take the world by storm.
Examples are the teachers that we need beyond which point the call to duplicate the soul the thing not egos that we’d feed addressed the lot of things we’d celebrate.
We will be blessed beyond our wildest dream and not because of fortunes we’ll amass but more because of love that reigns supreme and that’s one gift that nothing will surpass.
Of all the words we’ll ever come to hear that one resound with love the rest grows clear.

Upon the wings of time we fly no end To things both known, unknown we must attend Each puzzle solved the way that we alight Each flap of wing a draft we can defend Arrives the dawn to chase away the night The shadows gone the lot of them to light A lesson learned the universe decrees No need to pause and question that it's right No need to fret nor else be ill at ease The Grand Design forever guarantees The job gets done somewhere along the line No arguments whence laws the likes of these -Richard
