Living Out The Dream

You bring him cheer the atmosphere Electric as can be It's something new these thoughts of you That stir him constantly
While at your end he comprehends The very same applies He’s come to learn you also yearn With all that that implies
A thought or two on he and you And all that this could mean The universe now says in verse It's come to intervene
So there you are upon that star Your castles in the air For love you see has come to be The answer to your prayer
You’ve smiled before but now there's more To see those eyes agleam The way it goes the world now knows You're living out the dream

The Sunshine Of Your Love

Through an anxious night he’d awaited light Where the sun could spur him on But he heard the rain on his windowpane And he faced a different dawn
Came the sudden storm and it said conform And adjust to what’s at hand Thus his heart was chilled and his eyes were filled For the loss of what he’d planned
On that blessèd bed where you lay your head Came a cooing sound so soft That an angel spoke and it made a joke Of the birds that were aloft
And he understood as you knew he would There was silver up above While the cloud was dark there was yet that spark And its very name was love
Yes that spark was there he could see the flare Then the sun came shining through Gone the pounding rain from his windowpane It had stopped because of you

Hearing you sing an ode to yourself through words he has penned from the depths of his heart and soul he smiles to himself knowing that you've grasped the width and breadth of his loving
Adding lines to the lyric he perceives of a choir expanding no end till both heaven and earth have joined in the singing of a song that he's written to you as an homage

Descends the Dove upon the morn To tell him why this "angel" born The one he loves like none before Such wise in fact it says "adore"
The Realm has ruled he be fulfilled She's living proof of what It's willed Beside him then the while his days Whereas he kneels whereas he prays
Now made complete by such decree He'd shed his tears that it could be Who's grasped at last the reasons why This "angel" sent from heaven high

He touches her with love's own touch A feather light upon her cheek Sure heaven high that makes it such It takes her breath she cannot speak
He kisses her with love's own kiss A feather light upon her brow It's good for her to wake like this And feel the things she's feeling now
He whispers words by love assigned A feather light upon her soul And angels sing as intertwined Two lovers merge their hearts made whole

This Day In Spring

This day in spring let's choose to sing And sing with great delight Our voices heard with every word A bird that's taking flight
A bird that sings the while it wings Across those endless skies That all may see how it could be Should all our voices rise
Till all is peace within this lease The heavens have allowed Each single word as yet a bird That soars above the cloud
This day in spring let's choose to sing Like never once we've sung Our minds above the thought of love That's heard on every tongue

Song Sung Clear

When we lend an ear and the words are clear it's a cinch to get things right but if things we hear are but dark and drear it's a world in black and white
In the coloured scheme is the living dream as the rainbow's hues impart with a message plain that's a sweet refrain that resounds inside your heart
In the open field is the wine unsealed whence the toast that sates the tongue with the poet's word that the minstrel heard made the song that's being sung
In the clearest tone are such factors known none refutes nor takes to task while this song one sings is the hope one brings is there more that one could ask

When the urge appears you'll be tried to tears for the pull that's oh so strong that the body aches and the spirit breaks to be told you've got it wrong
As the thinker knows it's a need that grows and you're not to brush aside for the self on hold hurts a hundredfold for the pain that's then applied
It's a sweet embrace that will light your face when it's push that comes to shove for the comfort zone of that act alone is your life-sustaining love

A Woman’s Plea

She makes her plea to God above To give her peace and give her love Beside her then that special one Who brings to her the morning sun
She makes her plea to heaven high To make his love big as the sky His word his bond and made an art To keep intact her hopeful heart
She makes her plea to angels too To keep his love forever new To keep alive the things that are That they may dance upon a star
She makes her plea both night and day It’s never been before this way And this she knows for sure she does It’s nowhere now the way it was
She makes her plea both day and night To keep him safe and keep things right And so it goes she’s not denied Both heart and soul he’s at her side

The Severed Limb

The Elder saw a father unduly harsh to a young son, and he took that father aside, saying:
“Behold the forest, so rich in saplings, each one unique, complete, and whole. Now see a man, as might a thief, come to sever a limb from one of these.
In time, this tree is grown, moss a cover to its great wound, that this one should seem a tree, complete, and whole. And yet, in the great expanse of space and time, all secrets will be known, while this tree. in its aloneness, must surely be found troubled and weeping at the loss of that which indeed make it complete, and whole….”
That night, before retiring, that father held to his son like never before, seeing him to sleep with great songs of both promises, and praise.
