Love come softly, brush against my heart
Yearning for its closeness, not ever to depart
In God’s Infinite Wisdom, I place my life,
And trust for tomorrow, what be, what might
Whatever path this love may go
It carries with it the willingness,
to let it go

I love the sound of kids playing. I'm sitting here with my bedroom window open and I can hear some kids off in the distance. It's getting dusk and I'm sure they will soon be called in for bed soon.

It made me think of my childhood and the many evenings we would go outside to play after dinner. My memories are strongest of the times when my cousins would come to visit. We had several games we liked to play, in addition to the make-believe games of cowboys and Indians, or cops and robbers. There was hide and seek, Red Rover, and freeze tag to name a few.

It seemed that we would have our most fun after the sun went down and it was beginning to get dark. When Mom would call out to us "kids, its time to come in" we'd all shout in unison "oh, Mom, just a little bit longer, please?" She would usually give in.

I don't hear the kids anymore. I guess their Mom has called them in for the night.

What a wonderful time that was.
