With Christmas fast approaching . . .watch out for this...

Be alert.

The newest virus circulating is the UPS Delivery Failure. You will receive an email from UPS Packet Service along with a packet number.

NOTE: The word packet is mis-spelled on this line. It will say that they were un-able to deliver a package sent to you on such and such a date. It then asks you to print out the invoice copy attached.

DON'T TRY TO PRINT THIS. IT LAUNCHES THE VIRUS!

Pass this warning on to all your PC operators at work and home. This virus has caused Millions of dollars in damage in the past few days.

Snopes confirms that it is real.

to all ya'll ole farts! Dec 2, 2008 1:17 am
Mood: amused, 28 Views
hi ya'll! remember santa's coming and we hope everyone's being naughty AND nice. just a quick message to ya'll! {{HUGZ}}

~~~~~~~~~~~
A fart it is a pleasant thing,
It gives the belly ease,
It warms the bed in winter,
And suffocates the fleas.
A fart can be quiet,
A fart can be loud,
Some leave a powerful,
Poisonous cloud
A fart can be short,
Or a fart can be long,
Some farts have been known
To sound like a song......
A fart can create
A most curious medley,
A fart can be harmless,
Or silent , and deadly.
A fart might not smell,
While others are vile,
A fart may pass quickly,
Or linger a while......
A fart can occur
In a number of places,
And leave everyone there,
With strange looks on their faces.
From wide-open prairie,
To small elevators,
A fart will find all of
Us sooner or later.
But farts are all bad,
Is simply not true-
We must never forget.......
Sweet old farts like you!
Kinda brings a tear to your eye - doesn't it?
Over the past months I have forwarded funny pictures and jokes to friends who I thought shared the same sense of humour.
Unfortunately this wasn't the case and I seem to have upset quite a few people who have accused me of being sexist and shallow. If you were one of these people, please accept my humblest apologies.
From now on I will only send emails with a cultural or educational
Content such as old monuments, nature and other interesting structures.
Below, ya'll find the pic of the Pont Neuf Bridge in Paris.
For those of you who are interested, Pont Neuf is the oldest bridge in Paris and took 26 years to build. Construction began in 1578 and ended in 1604. 'Le Pont Neuf' is actually made of 2 independent bridges, one with seven arches and the other with five arches.
Fascinating.
A lot of folks can't understand how we came to have an oil shortage here in our country.
~~~
Well, there's a very simple answer.
~~~
Nobody bothered to check the oil.
~~~
We just didn't know we were getting low.
~~~
The reason for that is purely geographical.
~~~
Our OIL is located in :
~~~
ALASKA
California
~~~
Coastal Florida

Coastal Louisiana

Wyoming

Where Is It That We Go When We Die? Nov 11, 2008 6:43 pm
Mood: curious, 370 Views
I just watched a tv series about a psychic who could speak to spirits of the dead. his name is George Anderson who has made several books on the subject of the afterlife such as "We Don't Die", "We Are Not Forgotten", "Our Children Forever", and "Love Beyond Life". he demonstrates his amazing abilities in Long Island and in the New York metropolitan area and is considered one of the greatest psychic mediums of the century*. some of the people attested to his credibility despite being originally skeptics and so I got curious and googled him and this is what he has to say about the afterlife. would ya'll go for a reading then? has anyone seen the light at the end of the tunnel?

*Patty Romanowski Bashe, MSEd.

The following is a question and answer session between Joel Martin and George Anderson:

Where is it that we go when we die? Does the other side tell you where we're going?

Well, according to what they say, go through the different levels of consciousness. We're working our way up. It's like, to go up to the twelfth grade, you've got to pass the first through the eleventh. When we pass on, we do go into the tunnel, we can go through these little darker levels, which can represent a form of hell or purgatory, because these are the two negative levels, or the darker ones. But if we've been a good person, we generally just seem to pass through them very quickly and then we go on through the third and fourth levels of consciousness, where average people such as ourselves go - not everybody can be a Mother Teresa, who would probably go higher up. When we go through these levels we meet our relatives and friends greeting us at the end of the tunnel, much as in the movie Resurrection, where they're waiting and they lead us into the light. And there's like a form of spiritual rejuvenation, like a reunion, like a party, 'Hey, it's great to see you again.' We recognize each other by personality. As we all have individual, unique fingerprints, we each have a very singular personality. There's no physical body, but there's a spiritual body that may take on a physical form, but to tell you the truth, I think that's only during a reading, so I can see and describe what the person being read can understand.

conceding defeat.... Nov 5, 2008 1:02 pm
Mood: contemplative, 492 Views
here you see the true nature of man. there are those who will accept defeat graciously, and there are those who rant and rave till they are hoarse and probably have a stroke (God forbid!).

if Sen. John McCain was able to concede defeat graciously, why can't ya'll who were rooting for him? he would have been your president...would ya'll not follow him?

I think the better option would be to wait and see. as John Lennon sang....give peace a chance.

peace ya'll!

Before hundreds of Republican activists, the Republican nominee refused to play to partisan passions or score political points. In blunt terms, he praised the historic significance of Barack Obama's victory and embraced the pain of his own defeat. "Though we fell short, the failure is mine, not yours," he told the crowd, earning jeers along with cheers.

He pledged to help Obama lead the nation through the dangers ahead, and praised his victory as a civil rights breakthrough of particular significance for black Americans. "Let there be no reason now for any American to fail to cherish their citizenship in this the greatest nation on earth," he told the crowd, flanked by his wife, Cindy, his running mate, Sarah Palin, and her husband, Todd.

How to Break Up with Someone Nov 4, 2008 3:25 pm
Mood: contemplative, 399 Views
finding closure after a relationship is deemed over is hard to do for both "injured" parties. talk about love ending in a blown up (cold) war! well here's some tips on how to do it the mature way...and go on to your next relationship!

and hopefully next time....successfully! be nice ya'll! {{HUGZ}}

~~~~~~~~~~~
Breaking up is rarely easy. You both had feelings for each other at one point, and maybe you still do. The key is to do it maturely, without deliberate pain, so that you can both move on with your lives and find someone better suited for you. A relationship really needs two fully committed people, so if one of you doesn't want to be in the relationship any more, it's best for BOTH of you to end it. That's the key message to get across.
Don't get into lots of blame-finding. There is always fault on both sides in a relationship that fails. Make sure you sit down face to face somewhere quiet. Never break up over the phone or via email, that's completely unfair (however cyber relationships have nothing to offer except a phone or email breakup!). A relationship is based on trust and dependability - don't prove you're unworthy of that in the final hour. Sit down and explain it's not going to work. If your partner has questions, answer them as fairly as you can, but without going into lots of back-stabbing. Breaking up isn't about finding fault. It's about you both being able to find "closure" to this relationship so you are able to then move on to a new one.
It's really in both of your best interests to end this cleanly. If you don't, it will come back to haunt you in many ways. If you can both accept that this was simply not meant to be, and that somewhere out there a new person awaits which IS perfect for each of you, you might even be able to stay friends. Or if not, you can look back on your time together as an enjoyable experiment which just didn't work out the way you'd originally hoped.
