A Heat wave in Wisconsin!!!

Well according to the weather man...we are having our January Thaw..lol  O.K. it is going to be in the 30's today...lol. I could stand 40's..50's and even 60's But I will take what I can get My Pups are still shivering when we venture out. I hope to get used to the cold here and be able to not secretly wish for HOME!! My husband just doesn't know how many days I have sat here and said (TO MYSELF) "I am going Home to Tennessee!!!!" I hate this COLD!!!!! Well now I have had my PITY PARTY .. thanks for listening... Isn't it awful...I am still fussin about the cold and snow... I need to get a hobby don't I???
Thanks for listening one more time. Gosh I just don't know how I would make it if I couldn't come in here and tell ya'll my problems... Thanks for "Just bein there!!" While lying in bed this morning...wide awake at this early hour, I was thinking about my Children back home in Tennessee and the season. I have one child that I blessed with the name "THE HELPER". Her name is Julie Michelle, and she has since childhood been just that. I was thinking about her 8th grade class doing a food drive for Thanksgiving and the teacher asking them to bring in 2 cans of food the next day. She was excited...our class will win I just know it!! The next day only 4 cans showed up..two were hers! We by no means could afford to go out and buy the food so she asked me if we could go door to door and ask our neighbors if they would help. It was snowing and she was bundled up so off we went...we then moved to the car..the snow was mixed with freezing rain and to my surprise we got at least 2 cans or sacks of corn meal and sugar from nearly EVERYONE! So we ventured out further...at 10pm I said ENOUGH she wanted to keep going ..lol The back of my car was overloaded!! We had to open the trunk and the next day we were Early for school!!! We had plenty of Teachers and students to help us unload!! It was a tearful time for me...to see her so excited to help others.
Here she is December 2007, the same sweet girl... begging For food and clothing and TOYS for people in need... she got it too... down to the last family the Police department needed food for!! Christmas was good for some very needy people. People call her all the time... people in need...and she never says NO!! Could God have given me a special GIFT??? I think so... I have "My OWN ANGEL" right here on earth!! THANK YOU GOD for "MY HELPER" she is truly a Special child. She is my "GIFT" for 35 years, her birthday was December 27,2007 and as usual she asked for nothing...oh you know we had to baby her a little

I just got in from shoveling snow ..AGAIN!! So far I had one day of bed rest..Christmas Day...lol I have 3 Boys that have to go out to potty..sooooo! I have a trail dug out in the snow to the trees behind the house... that trail gets longer every time I have to dig it out..lol Well it feels that way . The two older boys still don't like the snow...but Roscoe loves it...lol. When we went to Tennessee they had 60 degree weather and a big yard to play in and boy did they!! I hated to have to bring them back to the frozen world..but they go where Mama goes..lol 
We had about 5 inches of snow last night and more coning tomorrow... a little flake or two falling now and then today. I have to say the snow is beautiful... but oh my aching back...lol !!! I hope you are having wonderful weather and Happy times with your Friends and Family through this Holiday season. God Bless Ya'll !!!! (And Bless this darn Snow!!!) Mary ♥

A Christmas to remember..lol

It's funny now... but at 6A.M. Christmas morning when I woke up and couldn't breathe ...it wasn't funny!!! We got back to Wisconsin about Midnight Christmas eve..and I had been feeling weird and sick...sore throat ..weak .. all that stuff but didn't want to worry Wilber. I went to bed about 1:30A.M. but couldn't sleep..just catnapped. At 6A.M. I woke up and couldn't swallow!! I mean not a drop...I looked in my throat and knew I was in trouble!! I tried to wait as long as possible to wake him...he drove all the way from Arkansas...soooo. But I kept feeling like I was gonna pass out so off to E.R. I went... I spent my Christmas Morning in E.R. with an allergic reaction!! So Steroids and Benadryl are my menu for 5 days. The reaction caused my Blood Pressure to spike...so I am on bed rest for 5 days...this is day 4. I am so much better...still can't figure out what got me ..I am allergic to Iodine and shell fish...but don't recall having anything like this!!
All and all we had a Good Vacation to Tennessee and then to Arkansas..It was so good to see my Girls and Grands. I got one cool thing from my Daughter...lol.. She got me a GPS .. SO I CAN FIND MY WAY HOME SHE SAYS. But we won't tell Wilber about that comment...lol I cried when I left them... but you know how we Moms are!!

Yes it's snowing AGAIN, but it's so darn pretty I can't fuss. Well I can but it won't do one bit of good...lol now in 3 more days when we head out for Tennessee (where it's 72 degrees) I will be fussin...lol. We are going to do our Christmas in Tennessee first then to Arkansas with his family. It's a long trip but I get to see my Grands and Girls so I will tough it out. I got the last of my Christmas done today..Harry Potter movie that 3 of our Grands wanted came out today. Now to finish wrapping!
I hope everyone (Especially our friend Gets) has a wonderful, Happy and MERRY CHRISTMAS this year. I will be thinking of all my SFF friends, I am so Blessed to have all of you...how would I have made it without "The SFF Family"??? I am sure many of us wonder the same thing. When we are lonely, tired, confused, sad, happy, excited, just need a friend...we can always come home to SFF and share with our little family. We can laugh and cry...or just sit and read...say Hello... Hmmmm glad we found each other..

My what a beautiful morning it is... walked "The Boys" at 7am and my thermometer says -8 it's up to 0 (zero) now...heat wave..lol Actually the sun has come out and it's NOT snowing  maybe I won't have to shovel today!!
What are you gonna do today?? I am going out this afternoon and finish my Christmas shopping!! This is it...!! I am going home for a week next weekend and we will have our Christmas dinner at My daughters first then travel to Arkansas to have Christmas with my Husbands Family...then Home to Wisconsin. Back to the snow and brrrrrr ..lol
I know "The Boys" will love running around in their big yard in Tennessee. Wonder what they think when we go home to Tennessee, probably "Are we home for good this time Mama???" I wish!!!!!

What am I gettin good at???...lol.. Shoveling Snow of course. It seems I have to shovel and sweep every day now!! I don't even mind that I can't feel my fingers while I'm out there anymore..lol
I will have to say my youngest Pup..Roscoe has really taken to the snow. By the time I can get him to come in his little foot pads are sooo Red!! But I have to chase him down to get him in..he thinks it's a game I guess . Now Bentley and Bruiser are not so happy with this COLD and WET stuff..lol They beat me back to the door to get in. My southern Boys are havin a real new experience!!
Truthfully I think I am enjoying this almost as much as Roscoe. It's been a long time since I played in the snow! I have always said "There's a child lurkin in me" and I seem to be right.

Yep, it is that here...lol We got out and shoveled a path across the back yard to the trees so "The Boys" could go potty...lol.. Guess what had to re-shovel this morning!! Out of the three I only had one that wanted to cooperate!! Remember these are Tennessee dogs...lol.. Snow...what's snow...lol. They will learn..lol.
I laughed so hard at the youngest one...Roscoe...he loves the snow!! He chased birds and ate birdseed and had a large time. I had to make him come in. Then it was right to his chair with the heated blanket and sound asleep...lol
I hope everyone that got "THE SNOW STORM" has enjoyed the first real signs of Christmas...or at least you are good and warm...lol. Have a happy weekend... (((HUGS))) Mary ♥

Got up this morning to a cold blustery morning...after 4pm the whole thing changed!!! We have at least a foot of snow...probably more!! Wind is really blowing and as fast as you shovel..ya gotta start all over...lol. We knew it was coming, it's been on t.v. all day. The boys are really unhappy now!! The youngest one, Roscoe will run out in it for a second and run back...lol.. it's too funny. So how's your weather?? Wanna help me build a snowman?? LOL
The snow sure brings back memories of my childhood. My brother and I built snow forts and had snowball fights galore. It was a fun time for us ...way back when. Just sharing my snow with my friends...lol Take care and stay warm...Mary ♥

OMG!!!! I got up to wind howling and a couple inches of SNOW!!! Brrrr it's cold here in Wisconsin. I was a good wife this morning, I went out and swept a path to my Honey's truck and even cleaned off his windshield...lol For some strange reason he works days on Fridays now.
Let me tell you who REALLY doesn't like this snow...lol. I then took my youngest Boy out for his morning walk. Roscoe will be 1 year old on December 12 and he had no real idea what that stuff out there was!! OMG!!! I laughed so hard at him. He really loved it for a few minutes, pulling me down the street, running and sticking his nose in the snow....THEN cold set in and he was freezin!! Holding his little paws up  I picked him up and put him in my coat and home we went...he changed his mind about snow I think!! Then it was time for the 2 Big Boys Bentley and Bruiser. They each did their thing Quickly and pulled for the house...but Bruiser only made it a few feet and he just laid down in the snow and cried and howled...I have never seen this before...of course I picked him up...Hmmmm wonder if I will get them back out????
But my morning wasn't over yet...lol.. I then got out the snow shovel and cleared the drive way...I was then Froze!! I couldn't feel my fingers...lol.. Bbbbrrrrrr Yep winter is here!!!! I may spend alot more time at this computer if this keeps up..lol I hope where ever you are you are having wonderful weather.... I'm fine with snow... it's pretty... I might actually build me a snow man when we get a little more...lol OH!! did I mention my brain froze too...lol...lol ((((((HUGS)))))) to all... Mary ♥
