Back in September I felt the need to go to the Hospital emergency room. I didn't feel that I was having a heart attack, but I knew something was wrong with my heart. Turns out I had an irregular beat. It had been going on so long that the blood had gotten 'Stale' in the upper chamber, causing blood clots to form. I can't remember the name of the medicine, but it was administered by injection into my stomach. This was to protect me in case a clot decided to break free and go to my brain, or lungs. I was put on 'Coumadin', which is a blood thinner (it's basically refined rat poison). I had to take the coumadin and wait for about two months for the clots to dissipate, before I could get my heart shocked back into rhythm. I went to the St Pete Bash during that time. The only bad part about that was the doctor had told me not to get my heart rate over 85 beats per minute. Try keeping up with all those people at the bash and keep your heart rate under 85 beats per minute....LOL That was a challenge. I went into the hospital on Wednesday before Thanksgiving and it only took one low grade shock to put me back into the proper rhythm. I was checked for blood clots before they did it, and they were all gone....Yipppeee
During the first two weeks the coumadin was making me hurt all over. I felt so bad that I started to cry when I told the doctor how I felt. So he gave me some samples of a medication called 'Cymbalta'. If you've never heard of it, it's prescribed for depression, generalized anxiety disorder, Kemo, Radiation treatments, diabetic peripheral neurophathic pain, and fibromyalgia. What it did for me was take away my "Bitch Button". It is believed that cymbalta increases serotonin and nor-epinephrine in the brain. They also regulate and reduce feelings of pain. Since then I have been virtually pain free, and I feel fantastic.
But the main thing I have noticed is "I DON"T HAVE A BITCH BUTTON ANYMORE". No one can make me angry. Thing that would send me into a mad fit before, I just laugh at now. It's amazing.....

P.S. I got my Bitchy Daughter-in-law to start taking it too... My Son came over to Thank me.....LOL

The picture I have right now is the one I had for the contest at St Pete. I didn't have one for the sixties, so I used this one made either in 1978 or 79. I was middle aged then with children in high school.
Anyway since I started using it I have been getting lots more e-mails from men wanting to meet me. I guess I better take it off. Seems they just look at the picture, but don't read my profile. If they did, surely they would know the picture is not of a 63 year old.
I will take it off, I promise...LOL Barbara

My first bash was quite an experience. My Roomies Winkay & builderwoman treated me like an old friend. We didn't have any conflicts, even with the bathroom. Builderwoman said I snored, but I think she was just trying to embarrass me. Bob and jihg, 60minman & cjc, Ed & Shirley, and another couple I can't remember their names, Thanks for letting me tag along to the Thai Restaurant with you. Thanks to Belle and the others who taught me how to play Mexican Train Domino's. Even though builderwoman sabotaged my every move. I think she was peeking at my domino's. Thanks to 1honestinjun for laughing when you realized I had hugged you goodbye at least a dozen times, and was no where near ready to leave. Thanks to Over for buying my dinner at the Steak House. (Prime Rib) I apologize again to Zantoo for leaving him behind. It was a terrible misunderstanding. I feel bad that Electroman had an accident, and hope he is healing and feels better soon. Thanks to bluedragon for sharing his green balls with us. (They were very tasty) Hang on to that Cookie, she's a treasure. Thanks to Tony for keeping me company for most of the events, as well as all the meals we shared together, and picking up my bar tabs every night. You're a great Guy. Thanks to Michianared, Belle, yellowduck, and everyone who worked so hard before during and after to make this bash a success.
Thanks to Everyone at the bash for treating me like a Friend. I would Love to name you all, but it would take to much room. Just know that I enjoyed meeting you all, and hope to see you all again.
P.S. A Special Thanks to MeMe (You know what I'm talking about GF) I haven't had so much fun in a long long time.

unduplicated wrote a nice blog about visiting my hometown Dade City. I was commenting on it and it got to long, so I decided to blog instead.
About 1 o'clock yesterday (Saturday) I was about to leave my house to go to the Scarecrow Festival when my Friend and business partner stopped be for a visit. I told him I was about to leave, but he could come in just for a minute for a cup of coffee. Coffee turned into lunch. I had planned on having lunch in town. Before we finished he got involved in a Movie, and didn't want to miss the ending. But he did because he fell asleep. I didn't want to wake him and chase him out of the house so I let him sleep. It was about 4:30 when he woke-up, and went to the restroom. I was cleaning the kitchen and he asked if I had some cookies. I said "yes, but I need to make more Tea". He said "that's ok take your time". I said "Well I still want to go into town, and I wanted to go to the Flute Festival, but it's to late for that now. The flute festival is over at 5 ". No response from him, so I said, "so eat your cookies and go". He laughed. While eating the cookies, he offered to clean my carpets. We talked about that and up coming jobs for awhile, and I started a pot of soup for supper. Now it's almost 6 o'clock, and my day is pretty much shot. He's apologizing for ruining my plans, so I say " That's OK next time I just won't invite you in". And I won't... He left about 7:30.

Every Piece of this is man's Bullshit. They call this war a cloud over the land. But they made the weather, then they stand in the rain and say "Shit it's raining".
Makes you stop and think doesn't it?

I have deleted my post asking for someone to share a room with me at the St Pete get together. Although most of the comments I got were positive and everyone was trying to be helpful, I got ONE that made me decide to delete the whole thing.
I have spoken at length with my Friends that were going to join me, and they both know that I am not angry, just disappointed that I will not get to meet them, and spend time together. I understand completely, and there are and never will be any hard feelings, that would be absurd. It would take a small minded person to get upset over something like that.
Some of you might know that last year I planned to attend, but had a change of heart. I was bombarded with e-mails stemming from the argument that has been going on for several years. At the time, I was planning to room with someone. I feel that I gave her plenty of time to find someone else to room with. I never expected that she would be angry. Maybe disappointed, but not angry. For the past year nothing has been said, until I wrote my blog asking for a room mate. I don't know what she told others, but whatever it was, it seems there are some that think I am getting my 'Just Deserts'.
Well here's how it is Fiends, I can bunk by myself. I don't have to have a room mate. OR, I can cancel my reservation, and drive back and forth from Home. I can attend what I wish to, and skip the rest. I really believe that most of the people on SFF'S are quite normal, but there are SOME who are F'in Crazy, and should mind their own business....

On Sept. 19,20,& 21st I went to a Pow-Wow, and set up my booth of crafts. It was a wonderful weekend, even though it was Hot, the wind blew most of the time, and kept us from having a heat stroke. I bought myself a tent that fits the back of my Ford Expedition. The way it works is the 10x10 tent sits on the ground, but there is a tube thingy that fits around the back of my car. I Put a twin bed mattress in the car, and it was almost like sleeping at home. When I needed to get out of bed, I had the privacy of the tent. The first night it got a little chilly, so I pulled the back door of the car down because I didn't have covers. After awhile I needed to use my 'Potty', and guess what? The back door can't be opened from the inside. So there I am in my 'Bright white granny panties', and all my clothes are in the tent. I had to exit the car through the side door and go around to the back of the tent to get back in. The moon is bright, my body hasn't seen Sun in years, so I practically glow in the moonlight. Before I went back to bed,I dug in some boxes till I found a blanket that I usually put on one of my tables. I found something to wedge in the door so it wouldn't shut on me again. The next day everyone was laughing about it. Some said they saw me, some said they heard about it. I'm surprised it didn't make the news, with headlines saying "UFO lands in cow pasture","Glow in the dark Alien seen walking around Native American Pow-Wow"....... If I could do anything I wanted to, I would go to more events like that. I didn't make much money, but I sure did have fun. I enjoy the Pageantry of the pow-wow's. The honor they show their elders, and Veterans. The encouragement and Love they bestow on their young people. But at night after the public leaves, they gather around someones camp and talk and laugh till the wee hours. It just don't get no better than that.
